@Cliqy It’s still bad. What if the rich person you stole from worked hard for their money? You’d be stealing their hard work away. If you think stealing from the rich is okay, you need to be locked up. Not all rich people are evil.

Where did you get 18 million and 115 billion? The Wells Fargo heist was 7 million (18 million adjusted to today) and they spend $12 for every dollar stolen to solve a crime. So 84 million spent to investigate the Wells Fargo heist. But you have to consider the cost of not investigating and solving crimes into that $12 and the untold amount of money that is prevented from being stolen because people fear getting caught.

Stealing 7 million in cash years ago would be EXACTLY the same as stealing 7 million in cash today. It dosent magically triple over time, Bill's have not shrunk, the physical weight and size are the exact same today as then. The inflation since then would make it worth more but the way you said it suggests if they did it today it would be 18 million, no, not at all it would still be 7 million. What you could buy with 7 mil is less but it wouldn't suddenly be that they stole 18 mil if it were done today, they would have to haul 2.5 times as much weight in bills to do that.

    • @JustSayTyy

@@MrFable93 yes, that's the point of the comment. You completely missed the point of the comment because I said the exact same thing in a different way. They tried to insinuate that stealing 7 million today would be like stealing 18 million. They did not understand devaluation and tried to imply that somehow the bills got heavyer or something to that effect. Our dollar today is worth about only 3/4 what it was a decade ago. The OP didn't understand devaluation and thought the money would be more mass.
