Would you spend the extra $20K for the Mach 1? Or buy a regular GT instead? Read our review here: www.whichcar.com.au/reviews/2021-ford-mustang-mach-1-track-test
For a guy that has one on order,a good review of this special car,i allways thought the media in the past was on payroll of GMH,being a owner of many FPVs [which i have allways modded the motor and suspension]gave very poor reviews of a wonderful and relieable car, thanks for being honest about this car
Yes I would... in fact yes I have... I pick my one up next week. Colour - Jet Fighter Gray.
really does sound great, would take this before a used HSV anyday
It’s all down to the cue-ball shifter! And those wheels…
The only other 8 cylinder manual I can think of is a Landcruiser? this is a sad realisation. Great video guys! Keep up the amazing work.
Not anymore!
nup not anymore..
Great review fellas! The two of you do a great job together. Fabulous to see the ‘grin inducing’ factor of this Car on display in the video - a difficult factor to quantify and sadly missing from a lot of model metal these days.
Nice review!!!
Unfortunately, some of the Ford dealers in Australia have increased the Drive Away Price of Mach 1 to AU$97K, and this price does not even have the option of Recaro seat. All of these are just because of the limited supply of this car. Furthermore, after you receive the car, you will find out that some of the packages and equipment that shown on the brochure when you paid the deposit are missing!!! What ridiculous???
Imagine, AU$97K, you can get a Brand New Mercedes E-Class, Range Rover Velar, or the newly designed Defender 110!!!
Words from a purchaser of 2021 Ford Mustang Mach 1(That badge, GT350 transmission, and Bullit Exhurst are Fxxxing awesome).
Really interesting to hear your experience James. Thanks for sharing.
Dude a shit E class will be worth $30k in 5 years, services a thousand dollars, and it will have expensive problems!!. Take the stang anyday over an overpriced Euro!!!
who cares that someone stuffed up the brochure, we have all heard it before, at the end of the day its still worth the money for the MACH1, if not buy a GT that everybody else has.. BTW in NZ they have the correct brochure and they only got 50 cars all sold in the first day!! and the guy who purchased one!! above lucky bastard!! and to you James Zhou, crying sad tears for you.. would you like me to name some other over prices cars?? BMW M4 160K ect.. they are well over priced but I dont care if i want one... BTW I would rather have the MACH it will increase with price and BMW will lose 50k in a heart beat..
@@craigfleming8849 tru that Craig..
Aston Martin V8 Vantage still available as a manual, if it hasn’t been discontinued due to lack of sales!
Yes! You're right Dale, good pick-up. Although as you say, the future for that car doesn't look so bright. Tobias Moers indicated to us last month it's about to be axed.
Mach 1s are my all time favorite. Any year!
That sound! Great vid guys. Next time can you review the Alfa GTA?
GTA isn't that far away, so, yes!
Love that we can get these cars in 2021 - manual v8 👍
Totally Malcolm. Enjoy them while we can!
Great video...from Canada - cheers!
How much extra for the right side drive
I did what you asked fella's, I liked AND subscribed! Great review, clearly your conclusion is that the parts-bin special is more than the sum of those parts.
Tell me, does the Tremec feel better than the Getrag in the hand? Do you think its tall 1st is only because we missed out on the US-spec 3.73 diff (compared to our 3.55); in other words, do you think that Ford had a beautifully matched trans/rear that has been diminished a little by the rear axle choice here in Aus? Therefore, do you reckon it's worth fitting the 3.73s to my car? Finally, does it really sound any different to a regular GT? (GTs do sound damn good...I have a 2020). My computer's speakers just cannot convey those sounds well enough for me to judge here in front of the fire at home.
Sorry for the tardy reply! And thanks for subscribing. Yes, the Tremec did feel slightly snappier to me although the difference isn't night and day. And you're also bang on that the US-spec diff is preferable. Such a shame we don't get it here. As for the sound: yes, it sounds meaner and has a nastier edge to the exhaust note over a regular GT. Hope you enjoy your car and our future vids! Cheers
Looks good and sounds great!
It does!
i traded in my 2018 gt for the jet gray mach 1, i made right the decision but my wallet is in a coma at the moment 😕
Jealous!!!
There’s nothing like the sound of a Ford V8👍
Nice review guys. Is 20k too much, with current specs? Yes over priced but depends how much you want a limited edition car with that Mach1 badge?
you nailed it, if you dont want a limited edition car buy a GT. Just so you know there are none left anyway.
Best value V8 performance money can buy in Australia.
That’s a toughie Robert. Regular GT is probably the value pick but Mach 1 feels special and looks great. Which adds value in its own way!
@@WheelsAustralia GT is good value and, for road driving, the value choice. If you want to track it at all the normal GT will overheat and go in to limp mode after a few laps. The Mach 1 has more engine cooling, trans cooling and diff cooling and can do lap after lap.
as an owner. I can tell you with worth every cent.
does it handle and steer a lot better than a stock GT? since both the mach1 and stock GT have the same power output, i would'nt have thought the huge price gap would be worth it. but maybe im wrong
Shame so much immature whooping at the engine sound. Didn't open the boot to show the tyre repair kit and discus. One reviewer is always better than two.
at the end of the day in 10 years time its said MACH1 on the side, anyone can buy a GT, those who bought a GT wish they had something different. The Mach one looks sensational and is a track focused car apparently the best yet from Ford. spend what you want on a GT but it still said's on the compliance GT mustang not Mustang MACH1. not rocket science spend big now get it back 10 fold later.. how do i know I have a 69 mach, not a 69 mustang. grab one of these new MACH's if you can but i doubted it!! everyone is sold!! firefighter grey with appearance pack is the sort after..20k difference is nothing in a car, buy a brand new car today and loose more than 20k when you leave the showroom floor. One day you will all be chauffeured around in your electric cars forgetting how a V8 sounded and felt. For me this car looks and sound awesome. you will definitely get your money back BTW i luv or the knockers just jealous you dont have one. i certainly am!! would buy one in a heartbeat!! Yes it will make your heart jump a beat when you put foot flat to the floor and pile into a cnr...
i have one in jet gray, how can i make a profit from it
@@draco2xx if you did have one you would know, , if you did just keep it, mine is 52 years old in original condition. worth 150k more than its original asking price
@@2004lesk01 holy shyt dude really 150k? how much miles u have on your 69 mach? im 100% serious, i have the 2021 mach 1 in jet gray, i traded my 2018 gt for it
@@draco2xx yeah mate, it has 37k american miles.. So jealous of you.. hang on to it, my understanding they are all sold now.. The MACH 1 is an icon, you can sell her anytime now and probably get your money back
@@2004lesk01 ok, ill keep her in good condition and keep the miles down. hopefully value goes up to 200k
this ones no 727 ... but were only getting 700 of these....?..:)
Try and find one under $110 thousand!
Top looking baby
It just doesn’t have the looks of a Mach 1.
I have the 69, let me tell you there certainly are hints and reminders.. this is a cool car!
Nothing compared to the American version! Poxy wheel's, missing the big spoiler, front lip etc! Embarrassing
kilowatts? Newton meters? Aussies man wtf
10 speed for the big time Win! You shift you lose. USA is mostly light to light............so get the cheaper version and you will be much happier. Really just get the 10 speed GT and a tune and beat the crap out of both of them and save a ton of money.
I’ve got the 2018 Bullitt & I absolutely love it! It has its little faults as EVERY car does. Be objective. This is just a paid advertisement fellas. 👎🏼
Is it pronounced mack 1 (spelt mach 1) ?????? and yes its a Pony car
They are pronouncing it in their accent, which is Australian. British also pronounce Mach the same way.
You are pronouncing the Mach 1 incorrectly. You are saying Mark 1.It is pronounced Mack. When ford named it Mach 1 it was referring to the speed of sound being known as Mach 1.Stop calling it mark 1 please.
Accents are a thing. They are saying Mach with an Aussie accent. The British also pronounce Mach differently to Americans.
@@RaindancerAU Mate,I’m Australian and I don’t say it like that and neither does any other Aussie.
@@davidjohnston7512 Mate, there are a couple of distinct Aussie accents. I'm Australian and this is how I say it and so do a good number of other Aussies.
It's pronounced Mark not Mack.
