I started watching you on naio nails and have seen every video you made with them, some more than once. so naio nails was a big part of my life because of you. So I am so thankful that you started your own channel. I enjoy you and Adam so much and wish only the best for both of you. My son was in a accident in 2016 that burned 75 percent of his body. I was in the hospital for three months with him. He had a surgery everyday for a month and was in a coma. Your videos helped get me through the hardest time in my life and I will forever be grateful for you. and you will always be in my prayers. I pray your life and Adams is filled with prosperity and blessings. Thank you for being on our journey of recovery. You hold a very special place in my heart.
Hi Linda, thank you for your continued support over the years, I am so sorry for the trauma both you and your Son must of experienced and I hope he is on the road to recovery. I wish you both much love and happiness, take care x
I love Suzie! She's just the sweetest person ever! She inspired me to become a nail tech! Watching Kirsty use Suzies products is a dream come true! Suzie LOVES British culture, you guys should do a video together when all of the craziness settles down!
Thank you for addressing the curvy twisty nails. Many of my nails are flat and a couple curve at the edges! Doing an overlay has totally fixed them. I had never had my nails “done” before I bought a home poly gel kit at Christmas 2020. You and NCE have taught me sooo much!
I love Suzie! I just started doing my nails & she is so helpful. She so passionate about her work & her years of teaching show in each step, because she always answers all the questions I have in my head while I watch her videos.
Gel polish does reinforce natural nails, but the longer they are, the more strength is needed in any overlay. This video shows, I think, that gel polish and extensions aren’t damaging in themselves, of course any roughness removing or prepping for them can damage nails, but so does everyday life!
Right! My naked nails can be damaged doing LIGHT housework...let alone my favourite hobbies like yardwork and gardening. Or carpentry. Or horseback riding. Lol.
I agree with everyone, two of the best nail techs going, absolutely brilliant watching Kirsty using Susie's products, sorry to hear you and your girls have been poorly, glad to see you back xxx
I've seen some issues with Suzie's kits on nonprofessional nail techs. So I'm inquisitive if you have the same problem one of my friends had. I love watching your videos. I have about four nail artists I love to watch here on youtube. You have become one of my new favorites to watch. You do make me miss England, though. I spent three months there when I was 6. I still remember everything. (I have one of those excellent recall memory systems. I love the smell of brewing tea. It takes me back to the UK. (This was way back in 1986 or 87. I had the chance to stay for years. But I think my dad was just tired of missing his home garden or something else. So we came home sadly. We were pretty close to Chester. I love everything about your country. If i ever go back, I'll have to come to see you.
Love Kirsty and love Suzie. The only 2 nail techs I watch consistently on YT. You both do absolutely beautiful work! Would love to see a collab one day 😍
I watched one of Susie’s videos where she got like 15 beads from a quarter of a teaspoon of monomer. Incredibly moist for picking up the powder. Seems to be a beautiful system. Great job ❤️🇦🇺
What a beautiful set, I hope that you and your girls are feeling better after the wretched Vid. Truly hope your holiday was wonderful, also minus getting ill. Thank you for this wonderful tutorial.
If you love packaging you need to see Suzie's mini acrylic set! It comes with a little bottle of monomer and 2 little jars of powder, all glass and the jars have little cork stoppers and it's SO CUTE!!
Suzie was one of my top nail techs that helped me so much on my nail journey. She is so sweet and amazing. I love her thorough teaching methods. Especially for someone that is truly just starting off and they don’t know the terminology they don’t know a lot of the products she explains everything down to the T. I’m surprised you didn’t try out all of her products. Including her absolutely amazing files and forms. Amazing!! 💕
I must try this. I do gel overlay all the time and have very long curved natural nails (that enjoy a ski jump 🤣) but they don't all have the same curve etc. Thanks for doing this video! 🙂
So glad you and Suzie got together in some way!! Maybe one day you will meet in a Nail Studio and cook up some gorgeous wild nails!!The two of you are the greatest!!! Regards from a hot and sunny South Africa!! 💖💅🥂
Hi. Thank you for sharing all that you did my nails are all over the place I think. Love to see you work with Susie you both are amazing and opposite. Would love to see to see how that would turn out. I know it would be amazing. Can't wait to see what designs you put on these nails.
I love this!!!! Thank you so much for doing a video on covering natural nails. I bit my nails for my whole life. I have grown them out for about 6ish months now with the help of a dip powder system that I am slowly converting to acrylic. I bit them so severely that I have permanently damaged my nail beds. I have gained about 2mm of attachment, but I think that is all they will heal into. So because I have bitten my nails and nail beds, they are not only thin but they attach halfway down my fingertips. The whites of my nails are massive for how short they are, and they rip off right where I bit them. I will also bite them if there isn't a chew-proof coating. (ugh) I am also a medical assistant student, and acrylic nails are banned in most clinics. I will likely get a pass because they would rather my nails have a coating than me biting them, but they absolutely require no tips. It has to be natural nail under, and they can't be more than 1/4" long. My nails grow flat, and watching your videos I decided to try and pinch them. Not only do I have a lovely shape, they are more durable. I don't pop off as many, because the flat nail had no grip. I feel so blessed to have your knowledge base shared with us. Thank you so much.
I worked as a Medical Office Assistant my whole career, and frequently wore acrylic nails. I would be interested to find out if any research has been done in infection control and nail enhancements? Definitely the broken skin from nail biting would be a risk, and increase the bacterial load!
@@sandrastreifel6452 There has. The CDC recommends zero nail polish or artificial nails because of what they can harbor. As I will be a clinical assistant, not administrative, there is a higher risk of infection and transference with them. However, because it is unlikely that I will assist in procedures, most offices are a little lenient. Anything that I personally do will be low risk, and gloved. I start my practicum April 11th, so we will see what the office says when I start. However, my teacher believes an exception will be made on account of me being an INTENSE biter.
Good luck dear I hope you can continue to wear acrylic over your natural nails so you can stop biting them. My daughter is a nail biter, but not as bad as I used to be. When she gets a little older I'll be doing her nails so I can help her stop as well. I notice when I put press on nails on her she doesn't bite them off and she has them on until they fall off. Which is about maybe a week. But she's only 8 and I don't feel comfortable doing product on them yet. I know it might sound like a waste of money to do the press ons, but I have to do something until she gets older and I can break her of that habit. Anyway, good luck with everything!
@@marielanders1218 Have you looked at dip systems? She is young, and that is definitely a consideration. But dip powder is a paint on system where you paint a base coat, apply powder (I sprinkle not dip) and use activator. There is no harsh smells, and you can do a nice thin layer that adds strength but is also easy to remove. I don't buff my nails to maintain the thickness. My poor nails are naturally so thin they bend. You can see through them. I hope that improves over time. I just rubbing alcohol and then a tiny bit of acetone on them to dehydrate and remove oils. My nails last about a week that way, vs the several weeks if you buff them. Just an option, and one that comes with less chemical exposure.
When Kirsty said her finger goes like this. I immediately thought of that nail salon comedy routine by Anjelah Johnson. If you have not seen it I highly recommend it.
I'm binge watching 👀 your videos tonight....one of my guilty pleasures. I'm learning a lot. I have one question that hasn't been answered. Whenever I use powder I have to put it in a separate dampen dish because I always end up with clumps. I don't know what is causing this. I have used both odorless and regular monomer and it doesn't matter. I try not to use too much monomer, but somehow I get clumps in the powder. If I tried to take powder from the original container it would waste product because it would clump half of it up. Do you have any ideas how to prevent this? Thank you.
Love love love this video my two favorite nail techs.... happy new year kirsty and hope this year you educate us with more of your amazing knowledge and more design and techniques and all that shebang😉🤭...... love you all the best for 2022
Would the curving of the nails be due to texting opening ect I notice they wear away on my corners on my thumb and middle fingers with typing on computers all day and opening packaging etc
I'm so glad you're not under Naio's strict rules anymore. We were all wishing you could review other brands, but the brand channel has their rules, so thats how it went
I love once! She has taught me so much as well. Weird question? What do you use for skincare!? You have absolutely incredible skin with an eye catching glow....absolutely beautiful. Please share your secrets! 🖤💋
