That was the best, Vlog… I felt like I was on a vacation with you and your friends for the past hour and didn’t leave my couch :) you are such a pleasure, and so down to earth. Thank you for sharing this with all of us.
Thanks again for the great concert in Charlotte. It was thrilling to meet you after the show. I’ve been a fan since the 80s. You’re down to earth personality has endeared me more. Thank goodness for you the band made it, but you could have carried it off with just you and the pianist.
Love that you had a fun time, and I , in turn, enjoyed your trip... saw things i never dreamed existed or would be able to see, so win, win. Admire how you turned a funky throat into yet another relaxed chat with your "friends" sitting in the audience. Lucky them!!!
I was at the Charlotte show. Her band had the late arrival, and she did have technical issues with her throat. You could feel the stress from her. But, like a true professional she kept going. She walked off stage and took care of her throat and came back out and killed it. I thought after being in the business for decades that her voice would sound aged, and it didn’t! She sounded as bright and her voice was as big and technically brilliant as ever. After the show she came to the front entrance of the theater and met everyone who wanted to meet her. What a fantastic entertainer!
Thanks for the tour. Good friends mean so much. Biltmore is pretty ostentatious. could not see myself living there however it is mind blowing of the talent we have in design and building something like this place. The gardens were the most impressive as well. Happy to see you taking some "quiet me" time in your schedule. Just breathe!
Glad you had a good time...Hi to Steven, Tripp and Maureen. I think it was Charlotte that has the really cute airport too...rocking chairs and a piano bar with a flying machine mobile rotating above it. I have a Fb friend that moved to NC and is complaining about all that construction. Cool estate, have never been there but have been to a few others. Sometime when you play SF the guys should drive you down the CA coast so you can go to Hearst Castle which is worth seeing. There are lots of garden tours on the Garden Conservancy webpage, if you feel like being a "gardening tourista", as I call it ..great non-profit to support that preserves gardens. (Good time to think about your barn light so we don't have sad bird stories this year.) Hope you have a lovely garden to show off this Spring.
Thanks for this! Your friends are such a hoot! I'm with you - I love old things too. As Oliver Goldsmith wrote, “I love everything that is old; old friends, old times, old manners, old books, old wines.”
Congratulations on your response to these kinds of blips that happen professionally and in life, in general. I love how you just roll with it and keep moving forward - a lesson for all of us. I just moved to Palm Springs and hoping and waiting for you to play here so I can finally see you in person. All the best to you and family!
Absolutely wonderful video! Thanks for showing us the fun times with friends, and a splendid vacation including the unauthorized video tour of the Baltimore. 😆 We’ve aways wanted to go there so this has given us the push to make arrangements! So sorry about the bands delayed arrival and glitch in your voice but you must know your audiences/fans will wait patiently for you. The reason….. because you care for us the same way!! 💕🌈
Chicken and waffles originated in the 1600's in Pennsylvania Dutch country. It was a plain waffle with pulled, stewed chicken on top, covered in gravy. We here in the South upped the ante by changing the recipe to southern fried chicken and waffles served with spicy honey butter sauce. Heaven if you don't count the calories.
Wonderful blog! FYI Chicken and Waffles comes from your profession. Chicken and waffles were on the menu at a Harlem restaurant back during the jazz era of music. The story always goes that the dish was designed to be served between dinner and breakfast in the early hours when musicians were likely finished with their sets. Thanks for the fun.
PS Linda. I have searched. The closest you will be in concert to me this year is about 6 hours away in Wisconsin. I will be there. Hopefully I won’t be shy this time and I’ll say hello.
Thank you so much for the Biltmore tour! My sister and her hubby were there once and loved it! I have never been so this was so cool to see what my sis saw and experienced! Thanks so much! Love you Linda!
Thank you for sharing. I have plans to visit a niece in Atlanta and a few weeks back decided to skip flying and drive so that I can pass through Asheville and the National Forests nearby. Should be beautiful in May. Thanks again
Was great to see you in Charlotte! You and the band were fabulous and fun! So glad your friends shared the beauty of North Carolina with you.....special memories! Thanks for the great vlog! Come back to see more of NC!
What a NC adventure Linda! The extreme stress of your band's late arrival & the glitch in your throat while on stage! The beauty of the Pisgah forest & the magnificence of Biltmore! The love, laughter & time spent with your dear friends, Maureen, Steven & Tripp! Many Thanks for this wonderful vlog! 🎵💖🎶
Brilliant thank you for sharing and so pleased you got to holiday a wee bit too. Biltmore has a very European feel especially the very very long sweeping lawns and enormous green house. Love from Englandshire ❤
Stressed! The band? The throat? Then Blessed! Best friends. Good food. Tons of laughter. Seeing the beauty that is America. Rest. Renewal. Good for the body. Great for the soul. Blessings. You are Loved.
Nostalgia. It's a thing. As someone who once worked as a concert tech, running the sound board, it never ceases to amaze me how different a venue sounds without bodies in it. So remember people, when you are in the audience, you are part of the overall sound production, sucking up, muting, and scattering sound waves. Enjoy your spring, Linda. It's autumn downunder. My wallaby "café" every evening is attracting at least ten or more for a small feed of kangaroo pellets. Getting dark far too early again. 'Tis the price of our long summer days. Still loving the silver hair, in case you need to hear that.
What an amazing night!! Despite the glitches!! So great seeing you again and spending some time together!! Thanks for coming back to the great state of NC!!!❤😘
Great video with a little of every thing, great singing as usual, stress of a late plane, tour guide of Asheville and time spent with friends, something we all need to focus on. Thanks for a really entertaining LE vlog.
Wow! That was such a fun vlog to watch! I’m sorry that you had to endure that stress beforehand but everything worked out fine in the end. This was the show I wanted to get to but work commitments wouldn’t allow it. Looks like it was a blast. I’m especially glad that you took the time off to relax a little; you deserved that. That part of the country is truly beautiful. Thank you for taking us along for the ride with your amazing friends. Take care and stay well. ❤️ from Louisiana
That was a GREAT vlog, I have watched it a few times. Everyone appreciates your honesty and the stress you were under and they understood! Of course I loved the concert, I always do. Thanks for the tour, loved it! My parents went years ago and were amazed by the Biltmore. Of course my brother and I heard all about it, but you finally showed me what it looks like, thank you for that!
We were at that Charlotte show! We had a couple of those odd box seats, so it felt like we were sitting on the stage. Despite the anxiety before starting, it was a fabulous show! And I manged to snap a couple of pics that turned well. I wasn't kidding when I said Vienna that night was special. Ok, we're clueless until you mentioned you have a vlog and looked at it, neither one of us knew you ride. We're eventers and just got back from the Longleaf Pines Horse Trials this weekend. In the unlikely event you ever come to the Carolina Horse Park to ride we can host you.
That McDonald’s has a grand piano in it. Or it did last time I went. But sadly Asheville has fallen somewhat into disrepair compared to the 90s and early 2000s. I’m glad you enjoyed it anyway.
Hey …I pass by your place every now and again on my bike or jogging ..see you often gardening 🪴 with Shadow. Never stop to say hi cause you’re “off duty”. 😂😂
I love this. The footage of No Carolina is amazing. How stressful To have the band late! Hope you got the tshirt I sent with the dog and horse in a heart. 😊

I’m in Asheville!! Can’t believe I missed you!! Hope you come back soon.

Yes, born horse girl! I follow several British Eventer Vlogs as well as American Elise Wallace who is North Carolina or is it South Carolina. Love it!
Wow, what a spot!

“Video is just 60 still photos per second!”😊. That’d get me tossed out of the Estate.
So much fun! Greetings from a Somers,NY

To have the band late! Hope you got the tshirt I sent with the dog and horse in a heart. 😊
I did! Thank you! I have already worn it. In fact I was wearing it when I was getting my hands all scratched by my Hydrangia running...
@@lindaederofficialyoutube oh I’m so excited you liked it! It was a must! ❤️
My mom was trimming her rose bushes with gloves and still got bloody from the thorns!
I would love to know what the background music you used thankyou x
Yeah, I don't like wearing gloves either, even when pulling up thistles. If you grab them at the base, there aren't as many pricks. 😮
Good video. Which States have you not performed in?
Almost all.
