My brother was at Woodstock 99, but he sadly passed away in 2017 at 40 years of age from a sudden stroke. He told me that Korn put on the best show of the whole concert, he said it looked like a circle pit ocean, and that when the heavy part of Blind kicked in he said he was picked up and moved like 6 feet just from the whole crowd moving. He said they were the best, and I believe em.
I was in the crowd at Woodstock 99. Korn was so freaking amazing! Literally one of the best concert experiences of my life❤
I was at Woodstock '99 and the scariest moment of my life was when I decided I was going to move up close for Korn - the second Blind started I knew there was a reason it was all young guys in the front I made my way back to my boyfriend at the time. Still... an amazing show! The first two nights were great - but waiting six hours to wash your hair in a trough, $10 water and $20 burritos started to take its toll.
All time favorite. KOЯN has helped me through alot. When i first heard them in 97 i was hooked and taken in with the lyrics and play. Jonathan is one of the greatest to ever get on the mic. They gave us the best genre ever. So glad i was able to grow up during that time.
Friday was the absolute best, but you could literally feel the mood changing on Saturday.
I was there and said to my friends who were with me, "This will never happen again.".
The way I've always seen Woodstock may not be what others see it as but to me Woodstock is a festival that shines on the youth/young adult culture. That's exactly what it was in 69 and that's exactly what it was in 99. The promoters thought Woodstock was peace and love but it was about youth culture. That culture in 69 was peace and love wanting to accomplish something but in 99 it was angst and anger, being fed up and fighting back. 69 had similar issues but a different mindset, the promoters had no idea what they were booking from the bands to the change in attitude of the young people.
Imagine if they tried to do it today. Woodstock, the measure of just how fucked we truly are. Lol
I was right at the stage, turning around and seeing the crowd all jumping in waves when Blind started is one of the most incredible visuals of my whole life.
So many incredible performances from that show! I was 19 and will never forget it… if I only could remember it 😂😂😂
The dude party’s with limp biz and ice cube and has the best performance at Woodsuck 99. That’s why korns the best
I would do anything to take a flight on a private jet with Korn, Biscuit, and ice Cube. That would be wild
