Just to be sure - you got tree seeds that will grow to be a tree unless you apply bonsai techniques. Step 1 is to let them grow a lot, for at least three years :)
Do Jacarandas flower as bonsai? i was told they do not.. Is this true? i have a Jacaranda bonsai and it has not flower in his 13 years old. Any special treatment to make them flower? Thank you
They do! The Jacaranda has compound, fern-like leaves and beautiful blue or purple flowers which are up to 2" (5cm) long and grouped in large panicles. They appear in spring and early summer, and last for up to two months.
Well, the finer the ramification the smaller the leaves generally speaking. So regular pruning to create ramification should help. But inquire at our forum, there will be others with more experience that can tell you more - www.bonsaiempire.com/forum
I live in zone 6 and i grew five jacarandas from seed back in January. They were out on my front porch during the summer I brought them in. I found aphids that I had to kill and I think the aphids are all gone, but my leaves turn brown fall off and I don’t know why.
During the 1970s I lived in Rhodesia in the neighbourhood of Salisbury known as "the avenues". The street adjacent to mine was lined with magnificently beautiful jacaranda trees and it was there I discovered that I had an awful allergy to the damned things when in flower. My nasal passage swelled up like balloons and I couldn't breathe at all.
We need more videos on blue jacaranda bonsai, hardly anyone does videos on these kinds of trees
That's because hardly someone makes a good material on the species, this one is hard and require some knowledge about proportion.

There are no bonsai seeds, just regular seeds.
