Shakshuka Alla Vodka Recipe
Ingredients:
1 tsp EVOO
3 cloves garlic (minced)
1 tbsp Calabrian chili paste (linked in Amazon shop above!)
1/2 C vodka
28 oz can San Marzano tomatoes
3/4 C half & half
1/4 C collagen peptides
1/4 C heavy cream
9 large eggs
4 oz feta cheese
1 tbsp fresh basil
1 tbsp fresh mint
Instructions:
In wide, deep, oven-safe saute pan, saute garlic in EVOO. Once fragrant, add chili paste and saute another minute. Add vodka and cook till alcohol smell is gone. Add tomatoes and squish with potato masher. Season with salt. Dissolve collagen peptides in half & half, then add to tomatoes with heavy cream. Taste for seasoning and adjust (add salt) if need be. Crack eggs all over top of sauce, then cook in 375 F oven till whites are just set. Remove from oven, sprinkle the top with feta and herbs, bust open the jammy yolks so they don't overcook, and enjoy! Serve with pita or other crusty bread for dipping. :)

Damn that was a lot of vodka tho imo 😆. Still, I wouldn't mind (a littleeee tiiiny bit of) alcohol for breakfast! I'm not sure if shakshuka is a staple breakfast food in the Middle East but it definitely seems like one! Another great video 💜
Haha yeaaahhh but I figure if it’s Alla vodka might as well go for it! 😆 to be honest, the alcohol cooks off (along with the majority of the calories in it), it’s just the residual flavor left over, which goes well with tomatoes! 🤗
