Why that, it just ruins it and makes it sound like a trash crash and really ruins the standard china cymbal sound, why not just leave the material as is
Wow. This is beautiful. It's evil indeed, but not like hellfire evil, it's more like a choir of sacred destruction type of evil. Kuuush, kuush... I want this China to become a stock byzance cymbal. Go and press Meinl to it, Siros!! ;)
Congrats on the beautiful cymbal. I’m sure you will cherish this for years to come! For me I’d prefer a 20” size and keeping the Extra Dry Dual finish - essentially a 20” Dual China to fit in with the rest of the line, as I love my 15” Dual hats.
You are a great drummer. Excellent choice of cymbals and this one is perfect to finish it off. Happy for you and enjoy! I hope they will be available for sale!
Wasn't sold on it up until the groove with it. Sounds really nice overall. It sounds really awesome with the bass drum behind it. You need like a 16" or 18" china on your left side to counter it and bring some contrast. At least that's how my set up is. I have a really dark washy china on my right, and left side has a bright and quick decaying china. I'm curious how a 20" of this would sound
Hi!! Very nice playing :) Please I’m looking for a marvellous sound like this but since this China is a prototype, how close would you say is the sound to the Byzance extra dry thin crash 20”? Thank you!!!
This sounds very Chester Thompson or Phil collins or any other great jazz fusion and rock china sounds. I've been looking for this exact sound for a while!!
Siros Vaziri this china is fucking awesome! It'd be awesome if you raffled off your older one to give some of us other drummers a chance to try it out! ;)
Tobias TK that was exactly my thought. I love the tone, but the sustain is a bit too long for me. I'd be curious to see how it sounded in a stack, too, as well as a 20".
To me,it's not too washy. It's perfect, but it's too big! That would never fit my cymbal case! hahaha Also, playing Brazilian music styles will require me a little bit higher of a china... BUT THAT THING IS RADDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD!
This sounds VERY close to the discontinued Zildjian Oriental Classic China. There was a 20” and a 22”. I have the 20” and it roars to life just as this one does. Very sensitive and the predominant sound characteristic is the white noise and not the typical pitch bend common with professional grade China cymbals. Much more like a Wuhan also.
Ganska kul att upptäcka att en person man inspireras av på youtube först och främst är svensk, sedan att han repar på Elverket!! Repade där förr i många år! Både i gamla "lektionslokalen" och sen i lokalen bredvid datarummet!
DRUMMER JEALOUSY!!!!!!!!!!!!! That's like the Matt Garska one but like WAY Better!!!! And you could put a Meinl bacon and have a really MOODY and ESOTERIC ride source!!
Hi siros! You are an amazing drummer and ‘fillman’😉 i know you’ve already got your beautiful King custom kit, but i have a question about your earlier Tama Superstar kit: i have the same kit and need some new heads, so my question is: which drumheads (from evans) do you prefer? So coated or clear, double/single ply, etc. Keep up the hard work! Cheers! (I know it’s a random question, but just want to know)
Hey man, thank you for the kind words! On that kit I preferred doubly ply clear heads, primarily Evans G2 Clear, over a single ply clear head, mostly Evans G1 Clear. I did use coated heads a few times, but eventually found those drums sounded best with clear heads. It's worth noting though that my superstar hyperdrive was a birch kit, the ones made nowadays are maple! Hope that helps. :)
Yes love the sickness. But can it hold up to seven nation army... Hahahaha your a killer drummer .. just stumbled upon your channel., Subbed already 👍🤘
There was a bit of compression on the overheads and drums overall here, but I've changed my mix pretty drastically after this video. Check out my recent ones for a more organic sound!
I know this an old video bro but that China sounds AMAZING!!!! Question, buddy I have a 23inch and I CONSTANTLY worry about how it’s sitting mounted. I have tried all kinds of hardware, and sleeves, toppers and I can not get a good platform to where I am comfortable with even considering doing a gig with it. Any ideas on more stable mounts?????
It can be a bit tricky for sure, I just try to set it pretty loose on the stand and have it pretty much sit flat, and usually pretty low. It allows me to hit it a bit from above, so I don't have to lean it towards me, which would often cause it to tilt or sway too much. No special stand or anything like that.
Oh, you mean, a dual china is actually coming?? :D HOW AWESOME IS THAT CHINA! I hope meinl never releases that. I want to protect whatever little money I have left in my wallet :)
How SICK is this china?!
Siros Vaziri awesome! Meinl, please put it into production!
It’s as SICK as hell!
Sickk af!!
Siros Vaziri we NEED this china out on the market
Sounds like a wave crashing down onto a beach 🤤🤤
Dude this is so freaking awesome!!
i agree btw sup love your vids
69th like ;)
77th like :D
It's ominous and beautifully nuanced sounding. I'd love a 22 inch Meinl Classic Custom Dark hybrid china, with holes and an unlathed section.
Why that, it just ruins it and makes it sound like a trash crash and really ruins the standard china cymbal sound, why not just leave the material as is
But does it dje--OH SH*T BOIS, IT DJENTS, ALRIGHT. IT DJENTS HARD.
It sounds incredible, looks amazing, wish it was commercially available.
This came across my feed again and COME ON MEINL... make this fir the rest of us!!!!!
Congrats and respect to your thoughts and the Meinl Guys
But there is one problem
I want this china
You can get something similar with the 18” trash dual china that they released a few months ago. It sounds amazing
Wow. This is beautiful. It's evil indeed, but not like hellfire evil, it's more like a choir of sacred destruction type of evil. Kuuush, kuush... I want this China to become a stock byzance cymbal. Go and press Meinl to it, Siros!! ;)

For me I’d prefer a 20” size and keeping the Extra Dry Dual finish - essentially a 20” Dual China to fit in with the rest of the line, as I love my 15” Dual hats.
Smooth, warm and crispy (from the lather edge I guess), love it !
Man the cymbal looks so beautiful. Sounds amazing!
BUT WILL IT STACK?!
MAKE THIS YOUR SIGNATURE CYMBAL!!!!!!!!!
You are a great drummer. Excellent choice of cymbals and this one is perfect to finish it off. Happy for you and enjoy! I hope they will be available for sale!
I'm not a China guy, but this the best sounding China ever! It makes me wanna get this one!
That’s beastly! Congrats man, great design.
OMFG, I love it. Dude, its trashy, flashy, and slashy. Cutting and vibrant. So much character. Love it.
Awesome! Bring it on! Great sounding kit
That sits really well in your mix! Happy for you Siros, that's a thing of beauty! :) \M/
Wasn't sold on it up until the groove with it. Sounds really nice overall. It sounds really awesome with the bass drum behind it. You need like a 16" or 18" china on your left side to counter it and bring some contrast. At least that's how my set up is. Me too. It would sound pretty epic.
siros vaziri signature china when

It just gives off this devilish sheet of sound it's insane
This better become a signature model. I need this in my life.
Sounds sic. I love it!
Maaaan that cymbal is waaay beyond awesome. Meinl should release this thing right fucking no.Waiting for this to become your signature model
Tomas Haake aprooves this🤘😎👌
He's a sabian endorser.......
DAAAAAAAAAMMMNNN!!! That is absolutely incredible. WANT.
It sounds like a ghost. They should name it the ghost China or the spirit China
The Crimson Drummer nope
Ghost china sounds cooler imo
Eshaan Parlikar what do you mean nope? there's a whole line of cymbals called ghost
Dam Son link?
You're so lazy. just type ghost cymbals into google
That's the best China sound I've ever heard. Produce this, Meinl, people will buy it. :-)
your sound is the heaven my bro!
DOPEEEEEE AF MANN!! 😍😍😍😍😍😍 Congrats for this
CHINA
I wish I had that
Your Groove and fills are awesome
22” Byzance Extra Dry Dual Trash China?!?!
Wow! Way to make us all jealous bro! That China is super dope! I wish could even afford meinl byzance cymbals!
"That is pretty damn evil sounding" haha
that feeling when you get new drum gear. i felt like I was right there with you man
Sounds insane 😍😍
Hi!! Very nice playing :)
Please I’m looking for a marvellous sound like this but since this China is a prototype, how close would you say is the sound to the Byzance extra dry thin crash 20”?
Thank you!!!
I bet Matt Halpern is already placing a order after watching this xD
That’s actually amazing
It’s got dryness I love but also somehow washes too it’s incredible
sounds explosive man!
This sounds very Chester Thompson or Phil collins or any other great jazz fusion and rock china sounds. I've been looking for this exact sound for a while!!
China sounds ok. Drums sound very nice.
Cheers man!
That China sounds fucking sweet!
This sounds amazing
Well it sounds like a china i did not expect that!
Very cool cymbal m8!
came for the china. stayed for the tastiness. subbed \m/
Thank you!
OMG!!! Pretty awesome :-)
This. Is. Awesome! 😍
Beautiful! Holy shit!
pretty nice. congrats.
That would make a killer stack
They HAVE TO release this one
Siros Vaziri this china is fucking awesome! It'd be awesome if you raffled off your older one to give some of us other drummers a chance to try it out! ;)
I like it!
But i think it's a little too ''washy'' and big sounding.
I think a 20'' would make it better for me.
Tobias TK that was exactly my thought. I love the tone, but the sustain is a bit too long for me. I'd be curious to see how it sounded in a stack, too, as well as a 20".
i like the wash. a smaller version would be a nice partner for it, too.
Tobias TK I think an 18” would be perfect for it.

@6:24 he finally plays the damn thing.
Richard Goldman You're free to skip ahead, I wanted to give background first and have a genuine unboxing, no stress.
Ganska kul att upptäcka att en person man inspireras av på youtube först och främst är svensk, sedan att han repar på Elverket!! Repade där förr i många år! Både i gamla "lektionslokalen" och sen i lokalen bredvid datarummet!
That's smoooooth
Wow so massive but explosive
sounds sick
Equilibrium China: Finally, a worthy opponent!
DRUMMER JEALOUSY!!!!!!!!!!!!! That's like the Matt Garska one but like WAY Better!!!! And you could put a Meinl bacon and have a really MOODY and ESOTERIC ride source!!
Grym China cymbal låter väldigt bra
Really don't think you can ask for a better sounding china. Imagine that with the 18' dual crash on top. butteriest stack ever
I love my 17" holy china. If I wanted something with a little more body and tone what would I go with? Price 350 and below.
2:48 'Oh my god...what beautiful padding.....' .... 7:15 :'The Ghost of Zildjian's from beyond' strike......"
Hi siros! Guus Verschuuren I have same kit
Hey man, thank you for the kind words! On that kit I preferred doubly ply clear heads, primarily Evans G2 Clear, over a single ply clear head, mostly Evans G1 Clear. Siros Vaziri that helps! Thank you for reply!
Yes love the sickness. But can it hold up to seven nation army... Hahahaha your a killer drummer .. just stumbled upon your channel., Subbed already 👍🤘
When I hear it, I imagine a chicken crowing, but with sand coming out its beak.
Evil sand blasting chicken, crowing “pa-KHAWWW”
Give me a 20, an 18, and a 16 version with a 12" classics custom trash splash on top. This is like the extra dry dual china if that ever existed
Your so excited to open that box but you stretch it out to like 3:00.… man the suspense was killing me..... Sounds great thanks want one.
Impressive sound. I just wonder how much compression, if any, did you add to your overheads...
There was a bit of compression on the overheads and drums overall here, but I've changed my mix pretty drastically after this video. Check out my recent ones for a more organic sound!
Playing style kinda reminds me of Benny Greb.......... the motion and body language. I do like the china.
Badass
NOICE!!!!!!!
звучит просто великолепно
This china is so dope bro!! Is it for sale in retail shops yet?
Unfortunately not!
Oops! Sorry, as always great video!
What will that China be called that sounds AWESOMEEE! I want to buy it! When does it come out
Those hi-hats were jealous af...
This china sounds GREAT!!!!!I wonder how it would translate in a live setting?
I've yet to play it live - definitely curious about this too, but I think it will sound great!
great \m/
Damnit, I just got the Gartska one, now I have china envy!
Are these chinas going to be in various sizes in the near future for the public?
Lovely
Almost reminds of the Sabian Zen China. They have a couple of 22” to or they custom make for MyCymbal.com
Well, that china sound is reaaly unique, very interesting. But that stack though! This sound awesome. What is it made of?
Mariusz Slawik It's the top cymbal from a Matt Garstka Fat Stack over a upside-down 16" Classics Custom Trash Crash!
Siros Vaziri thx!
they NEED to make this one a real cymbal you can buy, + they need to make it 22 and 20 inch!
I need this STAT.
Låter grymt bra!
This thing sounds like water crashing on a shoreline LOL, WOW.
Hey Siros! Wich drumhead do you use for you lowest floortom? And how much is your lowest floortom, 16 or 18"?
It's a 16" drum, and I use a Evans EMAD Calftone head (tom hoop version)!
GOOD!!
Wow. Never heard a china that's that dark.
*lars has entered the chat*
I want that t-shirt!
cristian soto They sell it at www.meinlshop.de!
Oh, you mean, a dual china is actually coming??
:D
HOW AWESOME IS THAT CHINA!
I hope meinl never releases that. I want to protect whatever little money I have left in my wallet :)
jplebre it’s out now 😂😂
