Good video! I've been running a set of Elka stage 3 shocks on my 2012 Outlander 1000XT for years now. They really made it a different machine. I ordered a set for my '18 Renegade XMR 1000r and they're due in early June, the stock Fox shocks are the opposite of the crappy XT shocks, being way too stiff. I just about left my kidneys at Lost Trails a few months ago riding it on the rocky trails they have🙂
@@LetDirtFly LOL! What a coincidence... Just got the notice my Stage 3's were shipped! Very exciting! They're going on my new 22' Outy 650 XT. Exciting!
@@viperxbr funny, I ordered my stage 3's March 3rd and they were sitting on my porch yesterday when I got home! A very pleasant surprise, since they had told me not to expect them before late May/early June.
@@LetDirtFly Hey guys, just a quick update on my experience with the S3 Elka's this last season. Love them! Yes they are a slightly stiffer in the slow rocky trails but great handling compared to stock. I, too, keep having one of the bottom bushings popping out after rides. You ever figure out why it does this? I haven't contacted Elka at all yet regarding it but maybe I will. Cheers!
i love your videos, i first started watching them when i was looking for a new quad to get and i ended up going with a 2018 can am 650 xmr, keep up the good work!!!
Excellent camera and audio tradeoff/editing of the video there LetDirtFly! I wish cameras would pick up how steep the trails can get. That's not a criticism of your video work as all content producers have difficulty with cameras not showing how steep terrain can be. I appreciate the ELKA shock subject as I have an Outlander Max 850 XT on order and wondering if I should stay with that or upgrade to the next level of Outlander.
You’ll love them if you upgrade. You notice the XT shocks are very soft, but are uncontrollable at speed. The Elkas with ride a bit stiffer, but it’s a good stiffer. Way more control of the quad and the faster you go, the better it rides.
I know it's off topic but what's your setup for Rider to Rider communication? I just bought my wife a quad. She's a first-time Rider so I would like to help talk her through situations while riding like you do with your girlfriend.
Been into sleds quads most my life elka makes a decent product expensive tho... Myself i find i can get a good oem shock set built to suit me as good at 60% less coin . elka has always been good for me to but on my sleds i feel i can get more for the cash in other areas an stay oem shocks an get em built proper for ur riding style an terrain.. Im not a fox shock guy the worst service i ever dealt with piss poor backing on there product warranty issues all you fox guys can say what you want i have seen it first hand in biking industry zero warranty coverage on anything just blow smoke an dont back product.. Elka is much bettet here imo they actually care

Lol I think any shock won’t help smooth out lost trails. That’s the place that destroyed my Pitman arm 😅.
I put the Hester Edition Stage 1 Elka shocks on my 2021 Kawasaki Teryx4. They are a huge upgrade to the stock Fox shocks. Definitely worth it.
I have an update question did you ever find out why your belt box was taking In water?
Good video! Looking forward to my Stage 3's I ordered back at the beginning of March. Cheers!
Awesome man! You’ll love them!

Where’s Seth ?!?!?
He was at Spring Fling in Mettowee the day before. We’ll have his video coming out either later this week or early next week.
I'm still here. Lol
Can the 650 still wheelie?
Yes, it actually wheelies easier now with the Elkas because they take weight transfer much better then the stock suspension.
@@LetDirtFly Awesome thanks for the reply!
@@LetDirtFly That's Scary, Looking at a set for my 850 that already wheelies way too easy haha!
