Helpful tip(20+ years tuning suspension here) thats not intended to "lift" the bike. Adjusting the "preload" is to set sag around 25-30% while sitting on the bike (depending on preference). cranking the preload like you did will significantly hurt the suspensions overall performance, the suspension will no longer articulate freely. Anyways enjoy them, wicked shocks!
All I can say is wow I bought these because of Chad’s videos the insulation was a breeze lower the tension nuts about an inch to inch and a half prior to installation! It is completely night and day comparison the shocks are absolutely a must!
Yeah I know what you mean. They do a good job buy yeah it does sacrifice some smoothness when I added the 3 inches but really not much. Always a give and take. But at least you can adjust them back if tired of the lift and stiff. But really not too stiff.
He's raising it a little but not much bc once he sits on it then it will get pushed down with the load so it's probably only like a 1-2 inch lift not 3
Enjoying your videos. I have the same quad. I went with the elkas and sent my clutch off to get worked on and have tuned my ecu. The brute is a great platform to modify. I went with 26x9x12 tires all around, kind of the skinny look. The thing rips. Thanks for the content.
did you send the ecu to vforcejohn? Im planning on getting a new brute force 750 and want to get the ecu tuned shortly after I buy one. I could get a base model can am 850 outlander but would have to travel several hours to get one. Would rather stay closer to home and also kawi dealer is much closer. Approx how much did the ecu reflash help realistically? Did you gain much top end or just low end power?
Great video. I'm convinced now after seeing your video. I have an older 02 Kawasaki Prairie 650 I'm working on as my second project. I'm pretty sure I'm gonna throw those shocks on it.
Looking good! You want some ideas eh ? I d be interested in some clutch modifications/ mabey an air box review like the emf. Maintenance videos are good to ex clutch maintenance/cleaning, valve adjustments , belt changes, plugs, winch installation ect...there’s lots of stuff you can do. Just be sure to film and give a good break down of what your doing and why . Good repair/ maintenance videos are had to find on these quads. I like your channel and want you to be successful because your putting in a lot of effort... soooooo take my advice with a grain of salt but you need to do more adventurous rides ( not dangerous) good sites to see/ and you get to test the quad in different situations/ terrain. You driving around on a pile of rocks isn’t that interesting man . your quad can do 99% of what you do in 2wd . Again it’s not a knock on your channel but just some ideas to help you expand your viewer base .
Just got mine! Putting them on tomorrow. They cost me 1500$. I’m lowering the tension nuts for an easy install tomorrow. So happy, just in time for an exhaust! Wish I could post a picture.
Love your content keep the footage coming before long you have a booking channel the brute force cult is strong I can’t wait to get the time to post footage of mine or my krx but until I can I live threw watching your awesome content !!!
Never been to Texas. You outta try that rig out at Hatfield McCoy trails in WV. I got a bruteforce 750 that is a 2017 I bought as a left over in 2020. Flat love it
I lost all faith in humanity when you put a bottle jack under the pin of the ball and decided that was the best way to jack up the quad. And if anyone watching this actually believes this is a “lift” i feel bad for you and you should get into a different sport. This is how you waste all that money you just paid for suspension

Just ordered my Stage3's for new 2023 Brute based on your videos and recommendations . Now the wait...........
Have you received them yet 👀 I’m thinking of upgrading my 2023 brute force as well
High speed whoops and some good jumps
U should also put a high lifter lift kit my buddy got 1 and the shocks it’s like a 4-1/2 inch lift with 28s
Next video can you talk about how the ride dynamics changed lifting it 3"?
Heck ya will work on it
All I can say is wow I bought these because of Chad’s videos the insulation was a breeze lower the tension nuts about an inch to inch and a half prior to installation! It is completely night and day comparison the shocks are absolutely a must!
We can fit 29 inch zillas on a 2011 brute force stock with stock shocks
The suspense of watching and waiting for your hat to fall off your front rack made me miss everything you said 🤣
Lol🤣
She definitely needs an exhaust, I got a evo big gun on mine and it's not to loud sounds great
Am leaning towards that. Did you have to tune it?
@@ChadOutdoors it didn’t really need tuned but I tuned it anyways just for the better.
hope it has a mark on the shock ring so ya can count the turns on the shock ring
I honestly don’t know that it’s possible to compress a spring without increasing its stiffness
Maybe the shocks are able to compensate?
Yeah I know what you mean. They do a good job buy yeah it does sacrifice some smoothness when I added the 3 inches but really not much. Always a give and take. But at least you can adjust them back if tired of the lift and stiff. But really not too stiff.
aren't you just putting a tighter preload on the springs making it a harsher ride?
He's raising it a little but not much bc once he sits on it then it will get pushed down with the load so it's probably only like a 1-2 inch lift not 3
Yes its always harsher when maxing preload

Highest setting= more suspension travel= softest ride??? I need a soft plush ride
The higher the lift, the higher the center of gravity. Scares me riding on slopes.
What tires did you get

will we see a winch install? 🤔
And full skid plates!!!
Chad, seems like you don’t love the elkas. I think the best thing you could do is just sell them to me and move on😂
Lol not sure how I missed this. But I'm still liking them. Great mod but little heavy on the pocket book.
I jus bought them 12 week delivery time. And chad your right 1500 and change was a killer, wife doesn’t know yet🤫
Was the ride quality a noticeable difference when you added preload?
The ride quality did improve and I don't think I could go back to stock after these bad boys.
How long did it take to get the elkas I just ordered. There saying 12 weeks, guess I’m waiting until November.
I got mine when the pandemic started and yep it took about 3 months. Worth the wait but it was a long wait.
It took me about 7 or 8 weeks back when I ordered them at end of last year. But ya worth the wait.

@@charliecook7031 I'd love to see a picture. Try posting it to my community page.
@@ChadOutdoors I tried to post one to ya! That Big Gun exhaust wow! Thanks for keeping us all updated as always
Ok well after researching and seeing the prices on those shocks, I think not. Holy crap. Now I see why you said your wife might trip. Geezus.

15 Benjamin's!
You payed a bit for them awesome shocks
Love your content keep the footage coming before long you have a booking channel the brute force cult is strong I can’t wait to get the time to post footage of mine or my krx but until I can I live threw watching your awesome content !!!
