I’m so glad you enjoyed our state and city, the clam chowder as well 😊. I will always opt out from any budget American domestic airline, (Spirit, Frontier, American Airlines) get into my car and drive thousands of miles instead of having to deal with substandard flights and expected inept basic customer service needs we get here in the US. Good choice on Alaska Airlines, but as basic a choice for ‘first class’ as one can get in America. A very far cry from Emirates I took in December.
Looking forward to my Air New Zealand flight to Cook Islands in September 😊 a very hefty fare in premium economy, but according to the reviews, almost worth it. Thank you for the review!

Nice review, what a colossal stuff up on Spirit's part though! I agree Alaska is my favourite American airline (I haven't flown any international American operated routes yet though). The whole promoting of first class in US domestic flights is an absolute scam though! Should be illegal to sell such a class when there isn't such as a class above Business! Most first class tickets don't even automatically entitle American domestic travellers lounge access!

1:06 This happened to be at JFK when I was flying to Houston. Security stop me, they said my date of birth did not match my boarding pass. I had to run to the JetBlue help desk. The agent told me nothing was wrong, issued me a new boarding pass and inform me to use my Canadian passport instead of my driver license.The agent did not understand why security had wrote down on the boarding pass, something like BP.
It’s a pretty bad system if this kind of situation happens often enough…
I hope you did a charge back on your CC. I wouldn't fly Spirit even if they were giving away free tickets. The horror stories (like yours) are too many to count!
