After I die: Molag baul: your soul is mine vampire. Nocturnal: NO he is to forever serve as a guardians in my twilight sepulchre. Sithis:No one shall steal the dark brotherhood's listener. And the list of soul claiming daedra goes on...... (Looks like my souls is about to start a daedric world war wouldn't that be a fun story for elder scrolls 6)
I've been playing skyrim for nearly 6 years And the only thing I hate about it is the NPCs like when your the leader of the companions and a guard says heil companion then when you talk to him again He's like"I remember you you're the new member of the companions so what do you do fetch the mead" That pisses me off And when the guard sees you in dragon armor he's like wow its amazing next second he's talking insulting you in every way possible
There are mods (on PC) that remove negative/annoying and such dialogue from various NPCs, including guards. Don't have any links handy, but I know they exist! Just an fyi.

Due to the reduced sunlight in the high north of skyrim, Vampires don't get that much sun damage, things get complicated in the warmer lands of Cyrodiil...
@@plt927 Actually, the sun can either be behind clouds or just straight up fully exposed. Many a times, if it's like summer or something, the sun may be just out glaring, even the Snow Elves loved Auriel and Magnus and the sun was most certainly out and exposed to worship many times. But you're right, once it hits a certain time of year, you'd be better off in Skyrim than Cyrodiil. Actually, Morrowind might be the best case scenario, actually, given the more ashy and cloudy skies more often. (I imagine Vampires loved the eruption of Red Mountain, cause that must've been amazing for them to just go out and chill. Granted, Vampires are certainly on higher alert there, since the Dunmer hate Vampires vehemently)

Hard "no" from me. You'd have every vigilant, Dawnguard, and in some cases fighters guild member after you. Your secret gets out? Count on the town guards attacking you on sight. And if a bandit sneaks up on you? Gets a lucky strike? Straight to Coldharbour.
On the flip side there's Count Janus Hassildor of Skingrad from Oblivion. Despite being a Vampire he was a decent person and a very good ruler. And he managed that even with his strain making sunlight legitimately deadly to him. Being a Volkihar type Vampire that can walk in broad sunlight and looks basically indistinguishable from mortal human would be a whole lot easier. You could travel across Tamriel and it's a lot easier and safer when you're a spooky Vampire that can arm wrestle a Werewolf in their Vampire Lord form... Think how much better elves are at certain things bc they live for centuries, and then think how much better you could become as an immortal Vampire.

I found out the hard way that my character could become a vampire. Everybody in Riften beat the shit out of me. I was like " Y'all gone crazy. Go see a doctor! "
Honestly, I’ve done a vampire play through, the sneak bonus is definitely worth it, but the main reasons I dislike being a vampire are the negative buffs to health/magicca/stamina during the day and the stupid screen when you exit a building/house/dungeon and get exposed to the sun making it where you can’t see/hear for a few seconds, that’s especially annoying when exiting one of the dlc houses and you get attacked by bandits, giants, draugr, hired thugs, or Dawnguard scouts
I agree especially if it's the kind of vampire that's affected easily by these things, however the one that isn't affected by the Sun, is far superior than most vampires with in the world. They are not weak in sunlight, but they are stronger at night, the only debuff they have is water. So if it rains, they are affected negatively, but if you're in a place that hardly rains, there isn't much issue. These types of vampires often put themselves in high-ranking places with in the world, one of them is Sybille Stentore in solitude, she is not affected by sunlight and is working in a very high-ranking position within the Solitude Court. Then there are hurt and Herne near Falkreath, they are also these daylight vampires who are unaffected by the Sun. If you have ever seen them during the day, that's how you know they are unaffected by sun light. Most vampires stay in the caves or castles locations within the world, and only come out at night including the volkihar clan.
@@5226-p1e don't mean to burst your bubble, but the vampires you've listed are weaker than any Volkihar vamp, the reason they don't burn during the day is because they're npcs, and dawnguard negates the whole sun damage thing anyway, there are other variants that can be out in the sun I surmise, but they don't appear in Skyrim, Volkihar vamps kinda do this with slight decreases to their stats, the fact it isn't continuous suggests they have immunity to sun damage

What champion with Dawnbreaker? The Dragonborn is supposed to be that champion, but if he's a vampire then Meridia can kiss her shrine and quest goodbye.
I remember switching back and forth between Auriel's Bow and Dawnbreaker during the Drakon fight. Honestly, with that sword, is the quest for the bow even necessary?

If you, as the dragonborn, are a living shard of a god(a piece of Akatosh iirc), do any of the Aedra/Daedra have afterlife power over you? Especially if your character becomes Harbinger, Nightingale, Listener, Volkihar(sp?)Lord, Archmage, ultimate Dragonborn. The Graybeards said you weren't bound to the limitations that bind others.
You also have to wonder, if you get to the point of being Hermaeus Mora's champion, and he still has use for you, if he would be willing to go all in. I suspect not, given what he did to his last champion, but it's worth consideration.
The god of madness basically said the dragonborn can kill a deadrea just like the main hero in Oblivion could. So none of the false god have any real power over you the god lies even says as much
@Soviet Dog I’m going to Castle Volkihar and I’m going to have Harkon turn me into an unstoppable Meth Lord with Force Choke abilities and get a girlfriend named Serana. You cannot kill me. I am a Meth Lord. Fear me mortal.

I remember I completely ruined my Oblivion file because I was a vampire and I waited a full day outdoors. Apparently, it calculates all the sun damage you took and killed me after the wait, and then autosave was overwritten by the wait, so I was stuck in an infinite loop of waiting and dying.

Being a vampire is fucking garbage in basically every Elder Scrolls game. I would encourage anyone after seeing this video and hearing how nice he makes everything sound, make a save and remember what it is right before you change just in case you ever wanna go back. By all accounts, being a WW is more powerful and it doesn't come with nearly as many inhibiting factors. If there was a mod I could send other people out to quest and otherwise attend to mine and the world's business FOR me while I just chill at my castle, indoors, then I might consider it, then again that defeats the entire purpose of the game -- which IMO at it's most simple revolves around adventure, which by it''s very nature revolves around going outside, and as a Vampire suddenly that limits my time to be outside to like 8-12 hours at most. Not worth it, not even with regen items.
You literally can't soul trap a dragon, it's not possible, and the last Dragonborn is a true Dragonborn meaning he has the soul of a dragon. Think of it like this, you have dragonborn like Alessia who had "the dragon blood" aka the blessing of Akatosh and then you have people like Remen Cyrodiil who were true Dragonborn who have the souls of dragons. * I'd also like to point out that Molag Bal the Daedric prince of domination wasn't able to break and corrupt a SINGLE dragon soul and the last Dragonborn likely has dozens to hundreds of Dragon souls that he's absorbed adding to his own. ** Also worth noting that Clavicus Vile scales your power at roughly even with his own (he was separated from Barabas at the time so he was around half his full power and states that you're almost as strong as he is currently), that places your power somewhere in the vicinity of 40-45% of that of a DAEDRIC LORD and that's just by being Dragonborn. By end game if you've gone heavy on the Dragon hunting you've likely absorbed 100+ dragon souls plus Miraaks soul. There's not a soul gem in creation that could contain that much power given that even a single Dragon soul is too much for one to handle, even Meridias Star would shatter like glass under that much strain. These and a few other reasons are why I tell people not to worry about any threats the Daedra make, they simply can't enforce their claims on you. Even if a particularly ballsy or stupid Daedric Prince tried to do so you're more than capable of fighting them for it and the Ideal Masters scale well below Daedric Princes.
trapped souls go to soull cairn, which is a pocket realm owned by the ideal masters. Vampires are taken to Colharbour, which is under Molag Bal's direct plane of control
You give up your soul to become a vampire tho; I’m pretty sure at least. That’s why when you want to cure yourself you need to offer a filled black soul gem to exchange it or whatever for your og soul
@@chrisdupuis2523 This really depends on what conditions you're answering the "is it worth it" question under. My impression of this video is not that it is "is being a vampire worth it for the dragonborn," but "is being a vampire worth it *for you*?" You aren't the dragonborn. The dragonborn is. Beyond that, what is a "true dragonborn," aside from when that's what characters in the game claim? There is no reliable narration. "You have the literal soul of a literal dragon" -- who says that's true? The booming voice of Akatosh doesn't part the clouds and tell you this stuff. People like the Greybeards, who get their information from Paarthurnax, who has his own motivations, do. Actually, there's sort of a great pun in all this: In all of The Elder Scrolls, the gods (or, Aedra, at least; some worship Daedra, and they are powerful beings, but are they gods, as the superstitious might claim, or are they guides to the Psijiic Endeavor, as would be the Velothi perspective?) are silent. There is literally no word of god on anything! (That's the pun, "word of god," a term we use when the author of a work makes a claim as to the canonicity of a fan theory or interpretation.) And it's a good thing, too. It lets us take on these games from infinite imaginary perspectives, without many constraints. So, even yours is valid. It's just not valid exclusively.
@SuperSansCraft 1212 i definetly do not serve them. I am buddies with them tho. You know, at 12 i have tea with my guy Molag Bal and in the afternoon I go hunting with my bro Hircine, as you do.
*proceeds to achieve chim just to tick of the Deadric princes* But seriously the Dovakin's power can Absolutely rival the prince's power. Remember Clavicus Vile's quest? When you first talk to him, he asks what you want. If you say power, he replies, "Power? You're Dragonborn, you're already powerful. As much as I hate to say it, you're almost as powerful as I am, but that's because half of my power resides in that mutt Barbas." In your regular state you're half as powerful as a deadric prince. Now if you go kill Miraak, you absorb his power. Two dragonborn's power in one. Even Miraak says he needs your soul to be free. So essentially late game/endgame you is equal to or stronger than a prince.
actually daedric princes have far more power then the dragonborn. they are more powerful then your average nine divine, meaning talos, mara, stendarr, etc. daedric princes only don't tear you apart because their power is limited to oblivion and even that doesn't stop them.
Honestly it's a hassle to be a vampire. It's a lot of keeping track of this and that for minor benefits. It's much better to be a werewolf. You get immunity to disease and no drawbacks in human form except no resting bonuses.
Werewolf in skyrim is super op, no point in not being one really. Like you said the only drawback is that you can't get well rested. BUT did you know that if you have a husband/wife you can still get the lover embrace bonus? Which is just well rested but better (15% instead of 10%)

Lycanthropy is WAYYYYY better overall. With the Gorging perk, you get 2x the health restored. You can also feed on animal corpses with the Savage Feeding Perk. -At higher lvls, most animals & a few other enemies will not even attack you, they will run away from fear when they see you. That's BEFORE using the Howl of Terror or Totem of Terror perk. -At lvl 50 your claws do 60 Base Damage per attack (120 with lvl 4 Bestial Strength perk, plus 50% damage with Ring of Bloodlust, plus 50% damage with Berserkers Rage if your an Orc) that's 240 damage per hit at speeds faster than any dagger. It's the highest DPS in game unless you use the smithing/enchantment exploit. @Malachai Carter not really, I doubt all of the Daedric lords you’ve pledged your soul to would just give it up without a fight. Molag and Dagon would definitely jump in without a second thought, Hercine would definitely want a dragon hunter in his realm, Azura would just be pissed that you betrayed her for the superior Black Star, Nocturnal would want the best Nightingale in generations guarding her temple, Mephala is all about scheming and screwing people over, Mora wants a new Miraak, Sanguine would want to party with you again, Vile would want to sell you something again, Meridia would probably just want to torture your soul for being undead, Boethia would be in it just to piss off Molag, and Sheo would be in it to piss everyone off.
Honestly, I would be a werewolf. Because in the end even though the vampires are immortal and my soul is being pulled in 15 different directions by different Daedric princes. I still find a werewolf form and just overall wild uncontrolled bestial nature to be awesome

I only became a werewolf so I can get 100% resistance to diseases. I don’t like the transformations and of course being weaker when the damn sun is out.
I feel like Serana is at least as good an example of vampires not aging as Babette if not better, Babette may be an unchild, but Serana was shocked at Cyrodil being the seat of an empire, which implies that it hadn't been during her time, which presumably means she predates even the Alessian Empire! This is backed up by the idea that she was turned on "Molag Bal's summoning day" something that would be rather... difficult if not impossible during a time period when the dragon fires were lit. A several hundred if not over a thousand year old twenty-something certainly beats a one or two hundred year old child. Of course that's just the conclusion I drew from certain lines, not sure how well it stacks up with other lore though.
@@fatherkarl9291 You would have to cure yourself first, because werewolves are immune to disease. Frankly, more than just a fun perk to add to the player for being a werewolf, I think it was put there for the soul purpose of not allowing you to become a hybrid.
I think you could possibly get out of Molag Bal's afterlife by pledging yourself to Nocturnal as a nightingale. Or even to Sithis in the void. Or, if worst comes to worst, by getting soul trapped. You can take your pick of eternally-binding contracts that have more legal weight than your loose affiliation with Molag Bal. I wonder how Daedric princes resolve claims over a person's soul. Like in the instance of a werewolf nightengale-- somebody who owes their soul to two or more daedric princes. I wonder if mortal souls can be ripped in half so everyone gets their share-- because if that's the case, I think we can assume that's how it'd be resolved. But then things get more complicated when non-daedric entities enter the mix. An Argonian, whose soul is called to the Hist, for instance, or a listen of the Dark Brotherhood chosen to serve Sithis. Or even a heroic Dragonborn, heavily implied to be a reincarnation of Shor, bound to Sovengarde. All three at once. What happens when you've got so many contracts going at once with so many types of deities you've lost count? Anyways, Volkihar forever!
"Multiple legally and eternally binding yet conflicting contracts you say?" the Dragonborn pondered, hand over mouth as they stared down the daedric princes. "To Oblivion with all of you!" blasted the dragonborn as they flipped the table over and turned to leave, "I am the freaking dragonborn of legend and that means Akatosh is my Half-father and legal agent and I'm not going with any of you because the elder scrolls said I don't have to!"
That's my thoughts exactly. I always do; Thieves Guild - Servant of Nocturnal Volkihar - Servant of Molag Bal Kill Alduin/being Dragonborn - Servant of Akatosh Dark Brotherhood - Servant of Sithis Replace Miraak by gathering the Black Books - Servant of Hermaeous Mora Gather all of the Daedric Artifacts by fulfilling the request of the Princes - Boethia, Azura, Meridia, Clavicus Vile, Mephala, Mehrunes Dagon, Namira, Hircine, Sanguine, Vaermina, Peryte, Malacath, Sheogorath, Molag Bal, Nocturnal I'd like to see them resolve that one when my character dies.
My assumption would be that it's just a game mechanic and you actually wouldn't be allowed to sign up with more than one unless your masters were buddy-buddy.
If it's from the dragonborns perspective. Dragonborns already have an extended life, if you also happen to be altmer who live longer, i assume you could live for a very, very long time. Also, why be afraid of dying when there's a confirmed afterlife? The worst thing to happen is that you'd end up in the wrong place after death, which is very much a possibility if you become a vampire and you happen to die in an accident or from a fight.
The book Immortal Blood in Skyrim that you can find next to the equilibrium spell tome, says that the Volkihar blood line lives under lakes. The book also mentions their breath being able to freeze things as well as them being able to reach through the ice of said lakes without breaking the ice. I don’t know about y’all but that sounds like an awesome power to have.
You know I always had this idea of becoming a vampire then using my vampiric powers to build my own kingdom in Blackreach enslaving the falmer, plus living underground no sun to cramp my style
Sounds like a good storyline for a future game, a vampirelord and his army attacks the falmer in order to control the underground domains and even some dwarven techonology if possible...
When you die you dont have to worry. You already are the dragonborn, and we all know akatosh is stronger than molag bal, he is the strongest aedra and stronger than sithis, the strongest daedra. Most chances are that akatosh will be taking your soul, but maybe he will only do that if you help heal the land, as in kill alduin and miirak for the good of everyone.
Honestly my favorite thing about being a vampire in Skyrim is that the Dawnguard DLC makes it so you can stop feeding without people trying to kill you for being a vampire. As long as you don't transform to vampire lord in public, no one gives a shit that you're a vampire (they still comment on the eyes though lmao). Also, you forgot to mention the worst part about playing a vampire in the older games... you actually took damage from the sun. Like... it could kill you. You HAD to wait til night to go outside.
@@kh91132 I'd probably choose a werewolf if I was to choose one of the two. I don't even much like Magic in most games. Skyrim is no real exception for the most part.
YES!!! The Volkihar Vampires are immensely powerful. They can turn into a cloud of mist and not be harmed by anything, they can swim under the ice in the lakes, sea,or rivers and can go through the ice without breaking it. Read the book Immortal Blood in Skyrim,it tells about how powerful they are.
Regullar Volkihar vampires don't have mistwalk. Also , volkihar vampires are the strongest tribe in skyrim. Aside from the pure bloods, volkihar vampires are the weakest compared to most of the other bloodline from oblivion and morrowind.
And then there's the fact that so long as you put a decent amount of points into destruction and you have more than one fire spell you can ABSOLUTELY wreck ANY vampire.
Exactly. In Daggerfall you could actually gain not only weaknesses but also many strengths. In that game various Attributes would increase so much that, depending on your race and class, you could be OP even since low levels. For example, if you were a werewolf/wereboar you would gain like 40 points in Strength, Speed, Agility and Endurance IIRC, giving you a big advantage for warrior builds (your attacks were stronger and faster in human form, you walked/ran faster, plus, you were immune to diseases, etc.). Whereas, if you were a vampire you actually "passed away" and a lot of people would now consider you as a new citizen, so, even if you were an asshole in your previous life, now as a vampire your reputation would reset. Not to mention the increase of Attributes as well: +20 to every Attribute save for Intelligence and immunity to paralysis and disease. And, should I mention that you would also gain immunity to iron and steel weapons as both a vampire and lycanthrope? *That* is what made me feel superior to mortals, that is what made my character deal with actual supernatural forces, dealing with weaknesses (such as weakness to sunlight in the case of vampires or involuntary transforms during full moons in the case of lycanthropes) but also gaining different (and unique) abilities. I don't remember if Morrowind Bloodmoon did the same thing (save for the wereboars that were removed in the sequels), but I remember my character being immune not only to diseases, but to iron and steel weapons as well. Anyway, I think that Bethesda needs to bring back those cool mechanics again, they made both aspects actually useful. Note; Also, it sucks that you can't be a werebear in Skyrim Dragonborn.
I think feeding constantly doesn't automatically change your appearance, it gives you the strength to cast an illusion that makes you look normal. That's why the Volkihar vampires look very much like vampires, because although they have the power to look human they choose not to since they don't have to trick anybody, they're all living among other vampires, they don't have to hide.
From what I know of the lore separate from the games, I would pick Cyrodiilic Vampires mainly because they have the greatest ability to blend in and function in society, tho Nordic vampires ability to phase through the ice and grab people just sounds terrifying and amazing.
@@khar8630 as of last month this was the last word from bethesda: Bethesda has said that Elder Scrolls 6 is still "years" away and the company won't reveal any news regarding the game until "years from now."

TooDizyForChooosingAName, I’m going with the assumption that Molag Bol gets the souls of Vampires the same as Hircine gets werewolves souls. Apparently it doesn’t matter what deity you prefer, Kodlak Whitemane wanted sovngard but since he was a werewolf he’d go to Hircine.
NoFaith91 not only would you be able to raise an army without anyone noticing, you’d also get to potentially enslave the falmer (poor guys) and also take revenge on blackreach for being the most annoying area in all of Skyrim
It all depends on what you make of being a Vampire. You could look at it as being the new Lord of Volkihar. It's got its benefits. Sure there's the thing about needing to feed at least once a day, but I tend to avoid spreading infections by keeping Blood Potions on me. And with certain mods, you can expand the Vampire experience considerably. For example; "Vampire Knights" and "Grim Apothecary". Very well put together mods. The real downside to Vampire faction is that the game developers could've made the "what can I do to help" quests more selectable. Having to go through "disguise as a Dawnguard and murder an important target" tends to run out of NPCs after multiple times. Because that damned quest should only be a one-time deal. But, Bethesda, screwed that up. Plus, I never did get the Blood Chalice fully upgraded due to certain impasses.
Yeah I was quite disappointed when I saw how dirty it was. I was expecting a bit more classy vampires. Since they drink in cup etc. but no, they cannot eat cleanly.
Kalaam Nozalys Same. That's why after I rule the castle, I like to think I clean it up and force them to at least use a tap in the thrall's neck/thigh instead of just slurping them like an oversized milkshake.
Funnily enough, I just started to play through the Dawnguard DLC and chose to be a happy Mr. Fangstien, so far it's alright, aside from accidentally aggroing villagers because I'm a starved vampire. Now, onto whether I think it's worth it - Immortality unless you're actively killed, able to go invisible at will, pacify people and perfect your various crafts all sound good to me. I know that people will be like "but you feast on people!" but that's not an issue, not even morally - you don't kill them, so you don't bring them that much harm, so feasibly you could co-exist with people, eating to satiate hunger occasionally, while developing cures for illnesses and creating solutions for epidemics. You could even train yourself like the moth priests so that you can read the elder scrolls and potentially be immune to the negative effects of the scrolls. This would make you invaluable to the empire and kept safely alive. Not to mention, blood is only required, no corpses - feasibly blood could be let and then given to you so that no one dies and your hunger is satiated. The soul getting sent to Cold Harbour does not sound like a good time, but you could always go to the Soul Cairn and strike a deal, allowing you to stay there indefinitely, or temporarily in exchange for more of your soul each time you visit. To the second vampire type, I wouldn't. Feeding frequently would be a pain and make blending in with regular society more difficult. I'd also imagine that because you need to feed more frequently when you do feed you would be more violent about it and kill when you don't mean to and lose complete control of yourself. In order to be accepted, even vaguely in society you'd have to show restraint and some levels of normalcy, feeding every single day would only make you a burden, regardless of what you can provide to the poeple.
I created a vampire character on Skyrim just to get the achievements. I liked it so much that when I went to ESO I recreated the same character and joined a vampire guild. It is a different system but it is fun. You can have multiple characters on ESO so go ahead and have one of them be a vampire. You'll be glad you did.
> There's the problem of where your soul goes after death, the inability to easily integrate into society, the possibility to lose it > What's the pros > This undead dog here 6:25 > Deal
Take in account one thing though. You can very well become Molag Bal's favorite as a vampire. Get on his good side of things... which would make your afterlife in Coldharbour considerably better.
I'd agree, but the question there is how to do so. Bal views mortals as mere ants beneath his feet, so you would need to convince him that not devouring your soul is worth it.
I actually hope in elder scrolls 6 if you die your soul will go to these places and then it gives you the option to return without breaking the law at a certain save point.
Cameron Gooch Like how in Soul Reaver when you die you go into the "spectral realm" and need to find a corpse to reanimate to return to the material world.
Svitlo37 yeah or say you go to a deadra realm you have to strike up a conversation with him to get permission to leave or do a short quest 10 minutes or so that way players are encouraged to not die so they don't want to do the quests
Caden Stevens yeah in Skyrim all you'd do is save and be like oh ok no biggy with this you can continue an feel like there's weight when you die imagine getting executed and having a deadra laugh as the green goes blank and you end up spawning in a plain of oblivion
It's also filled with assholes and fat people. I swear! Everytime I walk in there, theres a bunch of fat asses that keep eating, even when I'm talking to them!
Which is why you side with dawnguard and slaughter them all, get Serana to make you a Vamp Lord after the fighting ends (or on the way into the cairn) then live as one of the last 3 (that I know of) Volkihar Vampires
They're basically the same too be honest. Just a change of dialog. Also Vampirism kinda sucks when you got a face that looks like a rotten tomato got fucked by an older rotten tomato, in some weird angry tomato sex.
This is why Jagged crown with Ahzidal's mask works, hides the ugliness and negates the fire weakness. Also Gtl Ridge, it depends on what you find interesting, the only difference I see is your choice of items, either the vampire amulets (which to me were disappointing) or crossbows.
Have you done a werewolf version of this yet, because I feel becoming a werewolf would be worth it in Skyrim lore, transform at will (after the first time), only feed to enhance abilities and to sustain the form, but no real drawbacks to not feeding.
Honestly, the only thing I don't like about the werewolf is you have to wait for the transformation to time out. Otherwise, I couldn't think of anything outside of townsfolk but just shout and they go running
Aaron Coldren The companions lycanthropy has no drawbacks because it was inflicted through magic (Glenmoral witches) and not transmitted through disease.
Other then the time out process yeah I can think of no draw backs other than that you can become feral if you spend too much time in the form, based on the lore they provide in game.
Thou can't sleep properly (you don't benefit from the Well Rested/Lovers comfort), and thy soul's a bitch to Hircine (however some may view the latter as a boon especially if they like to hunt). In lore, werewolves also transform randomly when there's a full moon, so 'twould be tricky to live in society.
if you are "the dragonborn" the coldharbor thing doesn't apply, you do all the cool vampire stuff, and when you die, it's a cushy life in Sovngard with Shor and buddies. if you are not the dragonborn, I guess....be super Talos-y with your vampirism and hope for the best?
The sub can be stopped, though not permanently, with ariel's bow and bloodcursed arrows. It should be noted that during the time the sun it blocked more vampires and gargoyles spawn. Making bloodcursed arrows also requires serena's blood which she has said several time throughout the dawnguard dlc that she would like to keep. Also, if you are a vampire then random members of the dawnguard will attack you in groups of three for "the crime of vampirism" because we all know the is a crime and not a std
You should do a piece on the vampires from The Witcher universe, because they're a significantly different variety from that of the Elder Scroll variety and I'll shall say much more complex as a result. It would be interesting to here your take on the subject.
The immortality is pretty alluring, you could become a master at almost anything. And some vampires live in "society" like sybille stentor or the vampire at half moon mill
The issue for me is that it's not so much _if_ you die, but _when_ you die. Even if you manage to survive 'til the end of Mundus, you probably won't survive past it. No matter how much bonus time you get to live, it's not worth an eternity in Coldharbour
Besides the added benefits from the Necro mage perk, the weakness to fire and sun damage can be easily countered and reduced, being a vampire is useful for a battle mage build. Combine the Vampire royal armor with the ring of the erudite, and resist fire and resist shock enchanted boots, gauntlets or helmet, dual wield vampire drain spell with Blood of the ancients and you are ready to wreck havoc.
About Babett: What would happen if she cures herselfe of vampirisme? Would she start aging again ore turn to dust becouse she would be long dead as a mortal?
Seeing as a cured Serana continues living as a human I would say that they don't turn to dust, as for Babette I can only assume she'd be able to grow into adulthood.
I just finished a vampire playthrough on Anniversary edition. Jenessa was my wife (I just hated that she couldn't become a vampire) and I would feed on her regularly in Bloodchill Manor, which meant the potions of blood really started to add up. I had like 50 at one point between the house and the Volkhair castle. they trivialize feeding. Auriel's bow doesn't see to much use unfortunately, in Solstheim its hard to even find the sun and sometimes that happens in Skyrim as well. my game became bugged at one point in the DB DLC and I wouldn't become blood starved anymore, but it eventually wore off. it was fun while it lasted though! I say its worth it to become a vampire for the Necromage perk alone, and even without the bow the stat hit from the sun never got me killed that I know of. Vampire Lord is kinda meh, why bother transforming when my Dragonbone Crossbow obliterates even the most powerful of dragons.

Next up, is using the atronarch stone worth it...

Send Memes i tried it , i was able to fail-cast frost attronach about 11 times , before it finaly summoned. So yeah , useless
Garcha Thicc yes it is.
Bear in mind that Soul Trapping exists so it's entirely possible that you end up in the Soul Cairn no matter what choices you make in life.
While an improvement over Coldharbour, I'm not sure I could recommend it either way.
I'm the dragonborn. A god amongst men. I do not serve the Daedric Princes. They kneel before ME.

*proceeds to achieve chim just to tick of the Deadric princes*
But seriously the Dovakin's power can Absolutely rival the prince's power.

Which is just well rested but better (15% instead of 10%)
@@goosechaser13 Super OP? I think we disagree on that. I would just call the disease immunity a convenience.

Lycanthropy is WAYYYYY better overall. When you transform to a Werewolf
PROS:
-You can roam freely in daylight.
-Health increases by 150 (250 with Animal Vigor Werewolf perk).
-Stamina increases by 200 (300 with Animal Vigor Werewolf perk).
-Stamina regeneration increases from 5% to 20% per second.
-You can sprint faster than anything in game.
-Sprinting attacks & directional power attacks cause enemies to go flying (including Giants).
-You are NEVER staggered when attacked.
-NO ONE can block your attacks.
-You can feed on corpses to regenerate health.
CONS:
-No health regeneration unless you use the Ring of the Hunt, then that's no longer an issue.
-No well rested/sleep XP bonus.
-You smell like a dog.
Yeah, and there's that time when you're feeding you might be surrounded, there's a button that will cancel the animation, you still get the progress and the health, but you can get right back to the fighting. In some stuff it's the Powers button, in PS4(and 3 I'd guess) it's Square, but it really helps.

To be honest I really don't think you can trust being a vampire at all. You're way weaker in the sunlight, the vampire Lord transformation doesn't do that much damage, and the abilities you get are not that great
@@SpringChickensOnlyMan What are you talking about? I actually feel overpowered as vampire lord. I play on normal difficulty but when I'm a vampire I feel like I'm cheating. In vampire mode you get a shit ton of health and your attacks do a ton of damage.
I like the Sacrosanct mod for vampires.
It reverses the vampire progression (i.e. you're stronger when fed, but being blood starved has big debuffs with its perks), and you get some really overpowered abilities.
But these abilities require effort to obtain, but once you have it, you get to ignore the sunlight and everything.
Being a Vampire is amazing! Even better with the Better Vampires, you become such a detailed Vampire and as you progress through it you gain more abilities and strengths such as faster movement speed, ability to summon mist to hide the sun and able to sire Vampires
I'm loyal to the Dawnguard. Lets take a walk. I just need to grab a few items ( garlic, a stake, holy water ). And can we travel only in the daytime when the sun is hottest ?
Try the Sacrosanct Vampire mod, it's better than BV in my opinion. It's also less bloated, though it doesn't have quite the same level of customization.

Legendary Broly Boi Yeah they mess with each other, there is a patch for Sacrosanct that comes with BV, but it just overwrites all the Sacrosanct quests and progression, and just gives you all the spells and skills at once.
Legendary Broly Boi It also might cause other issues. I would just recommend playing sacrosanct on its own.
If there's even a 1% chance of getting Coldharbor'd I'm out.

@@fatherkarl9291 You would have to cure yourself first, because werewolves are immune to disease. Frankly, more than just a fun perk to add to the player for being a werewolf, I think it was put there for the soul purpose of not allowing you to become a hybrid.
@@tsdobbi the volkihar can "overwrite" your werewolf status, this doesn't allow hybrids, but lets you become a vampire after becoming a werewolf
That's my thoughts exactly. I always do;
Thieves Guild - Servant of Nocturnal
Volkihar - Servant of Molag Bal
Kill Alduin/being Dragonborn - Servant of Akatosh
Dark Brotherhood - Servant of Sithis
Replace Miraak by gathering the Black Books - Servant of Hermaeous Mora
Gather all of the Daedric Artifacts by fulfilling the request of the Princes - Boethia, Azura, Meridia, Clavicus Vile, Mephala, Mehrunes Dagon, Namira, Hircine, Sanguine, Vaermina, Peryte, Malacath, Sheogorath, Molag Bal, Nocturnal
I'd like to see them resolve that one when my character dies.
My assumption would be that it's just a game mechanic and you actually wouldn't be allowed to sign up with more than one unless your masters were buddy-buddy.
Space Queen ASMR or since you are the dragon born the most powerful mortal you are probably just sent to sohvangard.
The dragonborn will go to the one who created him, that is Akatosh

Those are more then likely false claims.
I think this book was written before Dawnguard came out, so Bethesda had it mind the vampires at Bloodlet Throne who live in an ice castle.
You know I always had this idea of becoming a vampire then using my vampiric powers to build my own kingdom in Blackreach enslaving the falmer, plus living underground no sun to cramp my style
So basically like Gelebor's brother except not at the ancient snow elf temple.
Sounds like a good storyline for a future game, a vampirelord and his army attacks the falmer in order to control the underground domains and even some dwarven techonology if possible...
Xanthippus sounds like something that should be added to a mod
Gelebor's brother was a dick. No reason to kill his entire race.

When I clicked on this I was thinking on terms of stats lol
TNTNuke same lol
Same he talks so much bs
Right, the lore is cool n all but I was definitely thinking how different versions of the disease affect stats differently.
This video is garbage. He doesn’t even talk gameplay
Not to mention the increase of Attributes as well:
+20 to every Attribute save for Intelligence and immunity to paralysis and disease.

Lol I just became a vampire and now struggle to kill simple bandit chiefs.
Y'all vampires be gangsta 'till Sam and Dean Winchester roll into town.
Hermann Fegelein supernatural all day! 😭😭
Heh... Heheheh... Ahahah... AHAHAHAHAHAH!
True true, but what about the fact that they do not exist yet
@@nuclearcat2644 That, and the fact that I'd drain their life-force and use it to strengthen me.
@@ditto7047 I see now that I stand corrected thank you
I created a vampire character on Skyrim just to get the achievements. I liked it so much that when I went to ESO I recreated the same character and joined a vampire guild. It is a different system but it is fun. You can have multiple characters on ESO so go ahead and have one of them be a vampire. You'll be glad you did.
Last time I played ESO a few years ago endgame pvp vampire mages were brokenly op I played an alpha werewolf though for the white fur
@@gitano-eucheesailor5712 Yeah I no longer play ESO. The whole game is more or less unplayable.
Let's be honest, most of you would do it because most gamers don't get much sun anyway
Us gamers have real lives bro

If you happen to be a bipedal cat, and also a vampire, you get *super-long* fangs.
Actually?

Same with argonian.
You look like nosferatu.
Asbestos Fish finally someone else who knows what they are 🦇🖤😂
I modded those snaggleteeth out. They were so dorky looking.
@@cardemis7637 So basically you'd have to be his best ass kisser in a place probably full of them
I actually hope in elder scrolls 6 if you die your soul will go to these places and then it gives you the option to return without breaking the law at a certain save point.
Cameron Gooch that would be awesome!
That’s a fantastic idea that would get horrifically tedious.
Caden Stevens yeah in Skyrim all you'd do is save and be like oh ok no biggy with this you can continue an feel like there's weight when you die imagine getting executed and having a deadra laugh as the green goes blank and you end up spawning in a plain of oblivion
Castle volkihar lacked alot of potential
It's also filled with assholes and fat people. I swear! Everytime I walk in there, theres a bunch of fat asses that keep eating, even when I'm talking to them!
Which is why you side with dawnguard and slaughter them all, get Serana to make you a Vamp Lord after the fighting ends (or on the way into the cairn) then live as one of the last 3 (that I know of) Volkihar Vampires
Bull, their quest were actually more interesting than dawnguards.
Have you done a werewolf version of this yet, because I feel becoming a werewolf would be worth it in Skyrim lore, transform at will (after the first time), only feed to enhance abilities and to sustain the form, but no real drawbacks to not feeding.
so true ,I always prefere the werewolf because of that.
Honestly, the only thing I don't like about the werewolf is you have to wait for the transformation to time out. Otherwise, I couldn't think of anything outside of townsfolk but just shout and they go running
Aaron Coldren
The companions lycanthropy has no drawbacks because it was inflicted through magic (Glenmoral witches) and not transmitted through disease.
The only thing is the scare you get when you’ve been in a dungeon for long and the sun damage audio gets me every time
I like how molag just made vampires specifically to piss of Arkay
arkay and meridia are pissed bro
I subscribed while i was drunk, i don't regret it
I'm the Dragonborn. If people want Alduin defeated and their lost swords retrieved from bandits then they're gonna deal with me being a vampire.
Stolen comment
if you are "the dragonborn" the coldharbor thing doesn't apply, you do all the cool vampire stuff, and when you die, it's a cushy life in Sovngard with Shor and buddies. if you are not the dragonborn, I guess....be super Talos-y with your vampirism and hope for the best?
The sub can be stopped, though not permanently, with ariel's bow and bloodcursed arrows. It should be noted that during the time the sun it blocked more vampires and gargoyles spawn. Making bloodcursed arrows also requires serena's blood which she has said several time throughout the dawnguard dlc that she would like to keep.
Also, if you are a vampire then random members of the dawnguard will attack you in groups of three for "the crime of vampirism" because we all know the is a crime and not a std
Don't really mind being a vampire as long as my character could spend eternity with the best waifu, Nazeem.

You should do a piece on the vampires from The Witcher universe, because they're a significantly different variety from that of the Elder Scroll variety and I'll shall say much more complex as a result. It would be interesting to here your take on the subject.
Scott Isom good idea. Especially the higher vampires :D
Just finished Carnal Sins, quite the plot twist.
I would contend myself with video about Regis. He was awesome. And had a mule named Draakul - enough said.
Deinareia Regis was awesome!
An entire episode on the Bruxa for research purposes of course.
Some of these weaknesses like to fire for instance can be mitigated by playing dark elves, as you keep their fire resistance
TBH to this day I still haven't played as vampire and always go werewolf. Mostly because vampire lord looks wack af

I like using the aetherial crown with the mage stone and atronach stone with that setup.
I only become a vampire because i want my character to be immortal and not age
Qarcon there is no such thing as immortality in flash
in flash? uhh wth does that mean? like the comic character
Qarcon i ment if blood and flesh in this ore any ather world there is no such thing as true immortality there is always a luphol
um English? also stop being pedantic.
simple my character won't kill herself and will retire from combat. immortality achieved.
Yeah I think I would become a Vampire :) (at least a Volkihar vampire or a vampire of Lamae's bloodline)
About Babett:
What would happen if she cures herselfe of vampirisme?
Would she start aging again ore turn to dust becouse she would be long dead as a mortal?
Seeing as a cured Serana continues living as a human I would say that they don't turn to dust, as for Babette I can only assume she'd be able to grow into adulthood.
Cured Serana? when did that happen
you can do that after her questline
- Solaris I think she would just start aging again
Seth N yeah, and Serana is wayyy older than Babette lol
