The Mercedes-Benz EQE SUV has just launched in Australia and I’ve tested the EQE300 model, which is rear-wheel drive. Basically, it feels like an old-school V6 wagon…but in a high-riding EV format.
The spec is high, but there’s one key option you will need to make this Merc as comfortable as it should be.
Rivals to the EQE SUV are chiefly the Audi Q8 E-tron and BMW iX3 and iX.

No clickbait: you'll need the $3400 Airmatic air suspension to make the EQE ride like a true Mercedes. Our tester didn't have it, which was rather obvious.
How is the ride compared to Tesla model y without air suspension? Better or worse?
I wanted to add a comment about this car... I purchased this car recently and I have to say that I absolutely love it. The design is perrrrfect.. maybe as a girl.. it appeals more to me than it does to a guy.. the reviews I've seen.. guys don't seem to love the look.. the cabin is amazing... the technology in my opinion is great! I love the option to set different colors which can affect your mood. I love the various sounds you can also choose to help with mood... the seat is amazingly comfortable... the steering wheel is extremely comfortable and looks amazing..... this car drives beyond smooth.. it's soooo quiet. I can't wait to get in and drive to different places.. Coming from an Audi for over 20 years... this car blows Audi out of the water... I think after having so many Audis.. it makes me an expert on it. I love the one-pedal driving. Love the driver-assist option. I love having profiles if there is more than one driver. I love that it will video if someone hits your car in a parking lot and send you the video. There is sooo much room in the cabin... it's amazing. The back seat legroom is extremely impressive.... the car has sooo much get up and go... it feels like you are in an airplane taking off. I can't stop raving about this car.... I wanted to edit my comment... My car is actually the 2024 EQE 350+... The one pedal driving for me has been so much fun.. have had no issues with breaking either in normal mode... it breaks extremely smoothly and in strong mode... the one pedal driving did not give me any issues.. once I got used to it.

My GLC300 lease is up and the dealer is offering crazy incentives to get a EQE 350 4matic SUV @ $549 / month, 2 years free charging on the national network (a station a few blocks from my house) free home charger including installation. Dealer told me that this car will have pricey repairs down the road but won't be my problem. I'm in California

The rear brakes are drum?
What shocked me when I saw it was the poor paint (orange peel) and cost-cutting. It's way too expensive to get a pass on that. You can see it at 0:23 in the video. Then you can't un-see it thereafter.

I have had my EQE350 SUV for 3 months and very happy with the technology and comfort. However, a message appeared on the screen "Cooling System Malfunction Reduced drive system perfor. Visit workshop" The car had to be taken on a tow truck 200 Km away to the dealer. They had it 4 days and said it needed an evaporator and there was no spare evaporator in the world. That was a week ago and no contact since. Consumer law says they should refund or replace if it can't be repaired in a reasonable amount of time. Does anyone know what is considered to be a reasonable amount of time?
Imagine when the air suspension shits itself at the 6 year mark [just as warranty runs out]. I mean, the over-engineering ended decades ago.😂
true, and that's why hong kong people will sell their car and get a new one at the 4 year mark

After having owned a GLC43 I could never buy another Mercedes, it was utter rubbish. I went to a Model X performance after that, and that was even worse. I'm happy with my current RSQ8. It's almost as good as my trusty old 3.6R outback
another reason to choose the 350: the 300 can only tow 750 kg, the 4WD do 1800 kg

Not a fan of Mercedes recent styling.
exterior looks awful to me but the interior is stunning i like it for someone like me who has 0 mechanical sympathy and drives everything i get my hands on within an inch of it's life the white steering wheel won't age well with my sweaty hands maybe an optional black steering wheel with the white interior is the answer
All of Merc's EVs seem so non merc like, they are all shaped like a loaf of bread and so meh!
I don't love the styling
i feel the same about all the AGM g-series, they're all styled to look like the evil guy from lilo and stitch lol

Mercedes have been building cars in Tuscaloosa Alabama for at least 10 years! The workmanship is just fine!
I still can't get over how ugly the Merc EV designs are. The rear light reminds me of the BYD.
