I bought the EQE AMG for my wife last week and this week I pushed it to its limit and boy I was shocked. The car is unbelievably good to a point whereas my jaw dropped. @@denzellscouter7007 Yes still going strong. I personally am not an EV person and won't ever be. But for someone who is not against EVs, this is really a solid car.
Had mines for a few months now. Went for the 350 amg line prem plus, the tech is phenomenal. It’s luxurious, air suspension is amazing and 4 wheel steering is great considering it’s nearly 5m long. Superb stereo with subwoofers on all corners. Downfall was the cost at £90k. But the car still surprises me when I find something new. Know the Tesla is cheaper and it’s more affordable, but it’s so basic and cheap feeling. I4 m50 performance is mental, but albeit nearly £20k cheaper is value for that performance but doesn’t have the same luxury as the eqe.
Great review. I think you are one of the only reviewers on UA-cam that actually seems surprised by so many others complaining about the room in the back seat of one of the models in the Mercedes EQ line. As far as this owner of a 2023 AMG EQS, there is plenty of room in the rear seat. It seems to me that it might be just some personal issues with all those reviewers regarding EVs in general or maybe Mercedes in particular.
All of the EQ Mercedes EV’s are looking like smoking hot used car deals here in the US. I’m seeing well equipped low mileage 2023 EQS 580 sedans for sale in the mid - high $70K range, which is amazing depreciation for the original owner and a great deal for the new owner…. I know that the EQS exterior appearance is not liked by many people, but come on, it’s not that bad.
An excellent review. The EQE is certainly a fantastic EV but at a very high price. I'm sure those lucky enough to be able to afford it will really enjoy it. Sadly I'm not one of those lucky enough but can't wait to see if Mercedes will make C class and A class saloon EV's.
Previously owned a GLC300 and an ML350. Just bought the EQE 350 SUV. Very comfortable. I installed a home charger. $7.00 Cdn to charge or $25.00 per month vs $200.00 for the ML350. If I was waiting for a pay back on fuel savings I would be waiting a very long time LOL. The fact is this car is a blast to drive.

You can power train wise, but the battery will drain like crazy. I’d imagine 1 hour to 1:15h is realistic until having to recharge. Living in Germany, I never got the chance to drive for an hour at 200kph, but maybe you’ll get more luck.
@LarsRR exactly. I drive to my client across Germany every month and literally never had opportunity to drive 200+ for more than a little while. People need to get real with their demands and expectations. Having said that I have to admit EQE is not like my other v8 with 100 litre gas tank.
Nicely presented... but at what price... only for the rich. Nevertheless, the strategy of Mercedes is the right one : deliver premium in EV. It's the best decision to remain in the market : avoid competition in price by staying in the niche of luxury.
There's a bit of an _"Aleksandr Scriabin"_ look to you Mr. Richie? I find it odd that the EQE does not get a hatch system at the back, but a boot. While it's bigger sibling, the EQS, is a hatchback 8-\\... So why didn't Mercedes make the EQE with a hatch as it's more suited for a family while the EQS is more of an executive car? Great review Mr. Richie. _Possibly one of your best so far!?_

The front interior in this car is incredible, but there are 2 things that i just cant get over from this car. I agree with that the backspace is not bad but the seats in the back just dont work for me, very uncomfortable. And the big nono is the design of the car. It just does not look like a mercedes, it reminds me more of budget brand car than a mercedes. I personally feel like mercedes has changed their priorities to appeal more to the chinese market and the brand itself has lost a alot of its brand value for me the last couple of years.
