Kobe Bryant 's death I compare to a great movie that was cut off before we could see the ending. Not to see his daughter Gigi grow into a Wnba basketball player and not seeing him get to enjoy that experience of seeing her try to become a great player like him was like that. It's like right when the movie was starting to get really good, someone hit the light switch and ended that scene for good.
@Jack The Clipper The comment said we lost a model for Black people, right? My reply is a reference to what Kobe said when asked to comment the Treyvon Martin incident which did not sit well for the black experience in America. Whitlock said he had a talk with Kobe about that and his opinion about Kobe then changed. However, Whitlock did not elaborate on the conversation he had with Kobe. I wish he did which might have given me a better understanding of what Kobe really meant by that statement. You should listen to that statement given by Kobe a few years ago. I was not degrading the fact that he was an exceptional father. That was not the issue. By the way, I believe we can have a respectful conversation sir. I do not appreciate being told to gtfoh. I only bring up the Bible because it seems we're dealing with the concept of human motive and well, something that no human being really knows at the end of the day About another person, only about themselves. But if we don't assume the Bible is correct, there still is the base moral principle of treating other people the way that you want people to treat you. He saying that just to fit in, because he knows if he were to bring up old stuff he would get shame because he's out numbered, he's faking
Whitlock actually earned my respect I didn’t like him for the longest but I appreciate his words today
Me to bro
Ant Parker ummm do you hear his takes.?? Tbh if it was any other situation I’d break it down and help you understand why ppl have a problem with him but this ain’t bout that . I wanted to highlight that I personally appreciated what he said about Kobe and that is all you can take that negative energy to the comments of another video my good sir
They needed to close that window behind them with the people clowning.
whitlock was a kobe hater when he was alive
Extremely powerful and genuine and raw and real.
😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Fake
Real
Ant Parker are you still being “crucial” of me? Hahahahaha don’t you got school in the morning you little pea brain? 😂
Jason Whitlock does not deserve to say anything about Kobe and his career anymore. Absolutely no credibility
Say what you want about Whitlock. He make sure his people eat
@Ant Parker no ppl's problem with him is he talks non sense about Brown athletes. Like he blamed LeBron for getting his house vandalized
TJ just admitted he needs ta be a better parent. thank u KOBE
Kobe always did his debates with class... He never called people with different opinions bums or losers he expressed his beliefs and respected the others... That's why LeBron will never carry on his legacy... LeBron can't ever get in his shoes let alone walk in them
Very touching segment. I respect Jason Whitlock. He keeps it real. It may seem like he be throwing shade at athletes but he just be speaking for himself and giving us the real. Very emotional time. R.I.P KOBE..
Nick X Nobody respects WhiteLock. He speaks for FOX. He ain't the least but real, he's just another FOX troll.
Yurugu Killah found the 10 year old
Respect to all you guys!!! That was heartfelt...that’s what makes this the best sports show on the air.
My God...to have lived a life, no matter how tragic and unfair the end, where so many people both known, and complete strangers shed tears for you... That is a beautiful life lived. Kobe, we love you, we’ll miss you and we know you and GiGi are beyond the veil playing pickup with angels. Job well done, sir. 🙏🏾
This was great for my soul! Much Love to these Men. RIP Kobe!!
Everyone Salute well said... This is hurting. L.A is so somber. I don't even want to do anything right now. Just sit by the pier at home in Santa Monica and write and cry. 💔💯📝 #KingKobe R.I.H
I wan2 be a better person, I love you all, black, white, yellow, brown you're all my brothers and sisters. KOBE💯🔥🔥
Rip Kobe, legend and the others on that helicopter
Never seen Whitlock tear up before.
he's an entertainer. They are fake tears
He tears up at buffets all the time
That's gravy . Not tears.
Molly's Unborn Child 😂
Molly's Unborn Child Lmfao you out of pocket for this lol
I’ve revisited this video multiple times and I gotta say, Marcellus really nailed this one. From start to finish.
Im with Whitlock ... we lost a great role model for Black People ...
Respectfully,
@@JonathanCamry kobe later made amends by speaking to Treyvon Martins parents at a rally in Crenshaw where he showed his support.
@@Basketball82423that's the thing, did he do it on his own free will or because of the backlash?
@@JonathanCamry does it matter? It seems like when people go this route, we start to play God, which we are not; but assuming we believe the Bible is the word of God, it explicitly teaches ' think of others as better than yourselves'. (Philippians 2:1-4). I only bring up the Bible because it seems we're dealing with the concept of human motive and well, something that no human being really knows at the end of the day About another person, only about themselves. But if we don't assume the Bible is correct, there still is the base moral principle of treating other people the way that you want people to treat you. Last time I checked nobody Prefers for someone to not believe them on the basis of what might be. Sometimes you just have to let the facts stand as they are when you recognize that you'll never know a motive
@@b.m.robertson5959 Yes honesty does matter.
But I like your final words: Sometimes you just have to let the facts stand as they are.
Well said brother, and on that I rest my case.
Have a blessed day!
I dont know what to say. Tears are just rolling down my face. These men are crying. Appreciate each and every day. Because tomorrow is never promised.
Thank you Jason and Marcellus! So beautifully put. Family First. RIP Kobe
Andre Henderson come bro do better 🤦🏾♂️
@@kingspeech2240 What do you mean? i'm supposed to take someone who took every opportunity to rip Kobe seriously? You can't call someone a selfish narcissist in one breath and then blurt all these phony lines when the man dies. That's weak and non believable.
@Ant Parker "crucial of your favorite athlete". I can't dignify poor sentence structure like that. You may be able to tolerate phony people, but I can't. To each his own I guess.
@Ant Parker "I guarentee ununderstood what i said"
@Ant Parker Which word did you spell incorrectly?
As a lifelong Kobe fan I honestly don’t care what Whitlock has to say. I’ve heard enough hate from him. I had time to see this video and just post this that’s all
Whitlock was extremely critical of Kobe not only when he played, but even after retirement.
Now he cries, after Kobe is killed? He is a Fraud, a hated one at that! KARMA!
Once again, "What does it say about America when we as a people can't even give a "thumbs up," when a person is giving condolences to a deceased sport legend, and a child?" (smh)"
You guys brought it home. Everyone is feeling this one. Don’t feel bad shedding some tears and emotion. Even after Kobe’s passing, his legacy is touching us...thanks SFY.
This really is my favorite sports show, and I listen/watch a lot of them. These men have grown from this tragedy. TJ probably the most honestly he was always the man's man so to speak, but to see him understand it's okay to cry wow that's growth
Whitlock stopped the criticism of Kobe, because it's a sign respect, though he's was always real about Kobe.
All these haters trynna act like they liked Kobe
Wow i never saw jason like this. Kobe touched so many people. Rip but its see you later kobe 🙏
As parents we work a lot and we see and be around those we work with more than are own family. To see the Peace the patient of him in teaching his daughter but to trasnsend from that game he loved so we'll to a full time parent and still have a hand with molding not only his daughter life but so many others is what I'm talking about, his true , pure greatness. Luv you Kobe, Gigi and the Bryant Family . Peace
Respect for the Mamba mentality! My heart breaks for all involved 💔
Long Live Kobe Bean and Gigi Maria 🙏🏾🙏🏾
I like Jason. Always keeping it real.
Anybody who comes back to watch this video remember Jason is the same man the dedicated an entire segment to trashing Kobe. He called him a narcissist and self person. Jason didn't feel sad about Kobe's passing he just wanted to take advantage of the opportunity
I love Jimmy Jackson. I was a fan of his as a player anyway, but there is just something about the way the man speaks which grabs my attention. I've noticed the same with Vince Carter. Even in tragic times like this, the intelligence and clarity that they speak with is such a gift.
Whitlock used to be the main Kobe hater for fox sports
Mr Whitlock is human I honestly thought he was going to be harsh on this subject SALUTE TO HIM
I really appreciate you guys keeping this real thank you for the emotion. #Kobe
Beautifully said guys.
Well instead of hating, he should of actually tried to get to know him. I understand his job is to critique, but he didnt critique, he hated kobe.
Its like were living in Metropolis when Superman died. Thats the only way i can think about it.
Or living in star city when arrow died
Man, these 4-gentlemen are REAL who spoke from the heart and full of wisdom.
Yeah right
Jason always keeps it real and those emotions were on point
KtherealJ lol he’s so fake how can you not tell?
How's he fake? Are you a trump hater also.
@@BRIANBA100 all Jason Whitlock use to do was trash Kobe, then all of a sudden, he's hurting for him. Go look back at what Jason Whitlock said about Kobe.
@@BRIANBA100nothing to do with trump you slow poke
Whitlock says whatever is controversial at the time. He is disingenuous. He is a “fire starter”. And this says it all. Maybe he should’ve been a bit more human while Kobe was alive.
not just to the black community, to eveyone who watched kobe feels like we lost someone close to us. we love kobe. we watch kobe. we all feel the same way. very dumb to say that, maybethe black community felt like that about nipsey. kobe was bigger than that
4:06 that's what it is. People in this age is so spoiled, we think we can do all what we want, but life doesn't care. It gives back all, every time. And even when you don't do nothing to deserve it, or worse you do so much good, you may have given all what you had. You was my guy Kobe, always being an inspiration to me. This struck hard
I'm gonna tell you right now...if more black men and I am one showed a little more emotion and knocked down the bs walls that were taught, we'd be better off. Much props to the gentlemen on the panel for showing that real emotion. I'm from the Jordan era and I've shed more tears than I'd like to admit. So thank you sirs!!!!!
The Hamburglar has made a career of slamming Kobe Bryant but I do think this moment was genuine.
Just all around tragedy. Great take from Jason
I’m really finding it distasteful that people are disliking these videos. These are real emotions, I hope everyone grieves in their own way. Much love to all ❤️
man you guys are the realest on this topic. love your show.
I don't want to hear anything from Jason Whitlock or Nick Wright. If you didn't have great things to say about him while he was alive don't speak on him now.
Shocked by Whitlock cuz he’s been the biggest Kobe hater besides max kellerman when it came to Kobe for yrs
Doesnt mean he gone celebrate the man dying? Ppl can disagree in one aspect of life and respect each other in another .
My mind still thinks this is a hoax! Very hard to comprehend! Its going to take lots of time. I love You Kobe. Thank You for everything you taught me.
Ya'll got me in tears !
I cried when I saw Jason Whitlock cry more!
Never seen Whitlock actually show feeling 😳
Hypocrite thats what he is
I love this panel. Great job guys. RIP Kobe.
RIP Kobe, i grew up watching you ball and i felt like he was a part of my younger years with certain moments.Basketball on TNT, tuesday, Wednesday & Thursdays.😔
That's what crushes me, all that work he did, all the knowledge & gems he could've given to upcoming players...smh
"Not playing 4 quarters in the game of life.."
That one was profound. Poor Kobe. He fulfilled his purpose though.
Thank you Whitlock. Thank you
I've always been a fan of the Lakers . To have the relationship with his Gigi and how he learned to treat women . I know many people fill like me from an athlete to full time parent stole my heart for this young brother with his beautiful daughter ( his angel Gigi ) .
