I lost my Mom to ovarian cancer coming up on 5 years this February. That same day, after I held her as she left this world, I had to put both of my dogs down and held them as well as they passed on. Since then I have lost an Uncle, Grandpa, a Cat that was given to us to help grieve and a dog we rescued. Since the end of 2018 until now I have lost three more family members. I woke up in recovery from shoulder surgery 11/8/18 to my Dad telling me my Grandma had passed to Alzheimer's. In June of 2019 we returned home from an annual golf tournament to my other Grandma passing from Alzheimer's. Shortly after my Aunt would die. We all suffer loss at one point or another and in all different ways. It's up to us to carry on their legacies and remember all the times we had together. That is how we keep their spirit alive. My prayers go out to you all who suffer with loss and who miss those who have moved on. It's a pain that never goes away or lessens, you only get stronger at carrying it. Godspeed, everyone.

I suddenly lost my father almost 3 years ago, the day before I was set to graduate High School. I was 18. When you experience a major loss like that, you get this feeling like “well at least I’m ready for anything now, if I can handle this I can get through anything” I’ve experienced losses since that day, but Kobe was the first one to deliver a similar since of shock that I felt when my father died. I can relate to a lot of what Shaq is feeling, and I have nothing but respect for what he had to say in this video. A lot of people feel that way inside, but it is very hard to put into words the way he did. The sad reality of loss is that you never “get over it”. You just learn to live with it. And it sure will take some time. From a diehard Dallas sports fan, I will always honor you, Kobe. Rest In Peace, MAMBA AND GIANNA BRYANT💜💛

If he retires now, than he has just more time and space to isolate himself and get in serious trouble like addiction, depression etc. Kenny, Charles and Ernie are his friends. Its good for him to stay together with them. maybe he needs a brake for therapy but no retirement.

Same feeling. I got to work, joke with my mates, go back to home, browse social medias, I see kobe everywhere, and then I cry. Whenever I think I’m done crying, kobe pops out of my mind, I cry again. I cried at the office as well, when I found out Kobe died. Workmates said I’m over reacting, they don’t understand the heart of a die hard fan. I wen’t to home early that day, I just can’t focus anymore. Kobe not just died because of his age or something like that. He died to a heli accident. Man Im so sad, I wish someone hugs me more and understand me. It’s only mu big sister who understand me, she knows I followed Kobe sinceI was 8. Praying for his family. Love from Philippines.
