Watch you everyday. . Love informative videos. You very good technical teacher👍. Keep the videos coming.
DIALECTRIC GREASE!
I use it on all of my electrical connections.
No corrosion.
I thought I was going to have to call you for help.
Checked all my switches nothing wrong. Then I checked the starter and it would start. Finally after your video on the ground wire broken. I checked my ground.
No ground on the frame. So I started looking for a wire. No broken wires. Trouble was the main ground cable to the frame.
Be sure and tell everyone you have to have ground on starter and motor from the main ground off the battery.
Hope this helps someone else.
All I did was loosen the main ground cable to the frame and tightened back and it started like a new one.
Note* I did disable the seat switch. Thanks for your videos.
I am 70 years old and my dad taught me the valve lapping compound trick for "sanding" irregular shaped corroded parts when I was about 10 yrs old. He learned it in automechanics class at his high school. I do not think it is very new!
Old school, yes that's great my friend. Your dad was a smart man as I'm sure you are also. I've never heard of it and came up with the idea on my own. Thanks so much for commenting, we really appreciate you.
@@RaleysSmallEngines Not trying to make your discovery any less, just letting out that there is a lot of things no longer taught in high school that used to be of great use to our communities and citizens.
A new discovery to an individual is as great as it was when the first individual discovered it.
@newsnowriversidesgtrock8144 YES sir, agreed my friend. So much knowledge is lost as time goes on. It's up to the older generations to pass it on so it isn't lost forever. Hey, thanks again for commenting my friend, we appreciate you so much.
@newsnowriversidesgtrock8144 I sure hope so my friend. Thank you, love the input. I'm still learning every day and been doing this my whole life and love it.
Good job neighbor. That one reminds me of the one my next door neighbor discarded, and I acquired. Wow!
relay tester ordered, $23 Canadian, here tomorrow, also the lapping compound, Thanks.. will be using it on my trailer wiring connectors..
Dog gone my hide, why am I only now learning this.
As always, great work.
🤣 don't pull my leg, you knew about this. Thanks for watching and commenting ROOSTER. It's 9pm on Friday night and I just finished the last mower of the day.
@bigsonslawncare Hey there my friend, hope you are doing well my friend @bigsonslawncare
I love getting to the point. Keep up the awesome work. I love the fuse clean up too!
Horseshoe mode, you crack me up T-Bone 🤣🤣, That’s definitely a T-Bone original tip, ain’t never seen that before! I love that relay tester, amazing! That sausage thumb was pointing to every terminal 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. Brilliant entertainment
Just now ran across this channel, watched a couple of your videos and so enjoyed them. Very helpful as well……now I’m one of your subscribers….
Your the best T Bone
Keep up the good work
Thank you T-bone. I try to do my repairs myself. Glad that I found your channel. Need to get some of those testers. Those bits are sweet
Excellent practical advice T-Bone! Great job of explaining so the average DIY'er can understand and apply to their situation. Thanks!
just ran across your channel while looking for some info,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Good stuff Sir
Great video as usual, filled with lots of useful tips. Pay attention folks! You're about to learn something!
Love that relay tester. I might get one of those. Great channel.
Thank you Bill. It has been a handy tool for us. We appreciate you taking the time to leave a comment my friend.
I really enjoy your videos T Bone! I like your trick for cleaning fuses and the terminals with valve lapping compound . Looking forward to your next video sir. Take care and catch you on your next one.
Another awesome video, great detailed information on troubleshooting steps easy to follow along. Great work Mrs. T with the camera. Keep them coming, appreciate yall!
Nice video T-Bone! Loved the method for cleaning corroded fuse terminals. As far as the extra choke cable, i did the same addition to my Ariens which has a Briggs Intek engine. I didn’t like the idea of choking and starting my cold engine at full rpm, so i added a separate choke cable so that i can choke and set throttle at 1/3 while starting. BTW, nice camera work by Mrs T. Shout out to her too!
Thanks T-Bone. Great video. Your videos are very helpful and I appreciate how well and clearly you explain things.
Always dropping some excellent knowledge T bone. I greatly appreciate you taking time to show the tips and tricks. Lapping compound is one I’m going to be using for sure. 😎😎
Good one, T!
I sometimes spray electrical contact cleaner in there or use a small torch tip wire to ream them out. I think just running a fuse (or any other type of connector) in and out a few times will do the trick.
The most important part is to then goop dielectric grease (same as silicone grease) into the female side of the connection before installing the male side. After that the connection is not only protected from corrosion, but also from water intrusion.
Hi Mr and Mrs T-Bone, been a really good video, i have learnt some really good stuff, and really good information and video footage to go along with the repairs done 👍
That’s a shame to treat good equipment like that …. Good information thank you
Thanks for teaching us stuff.
Hey, that was another good one. I know where to go if I have those electrical problems. Thanks T Bone.
Glad it was helpful Phil. Thanks so much for commenting my friend.
Great video T-bone!! 🥩 Nobody likes electrical but I look at as a challenge!
Yes sir I work on four wheelers scooters motorcycles and we definitely believe in valve grinding compound 👍 and of course the Brake cleaner. Thanks for the video.
👍👍👍. Thanks Mr and Mrs T
Nice job! You showed your age when you said it's hard to "film".
THANK YOU FOR THE VIDEO
Thanks for the videos keep doing more.😊
Thanks you sir. Very helpful.
I do gunsmith work as a hobby, another useful tip with lapping compound is if you have a stripped Allen bolt or something similar. Just fill the hole with it and the grit fills in the gaps between the tool and bolt.
That’s the first time I’ve heard of the valve lapping compound trick. That will save a lot of terminal replacements. And some terminals are a pain in the butteesimo lol
great video
Nice explanation and tips T-Bone, thanks for the video brother. 🙂
Hey Mrs T-Bone 👋
Handy tips as always T Bone
Good video.
All you need is a copper coin or similar and glue it on the battery in the middle of the terminals and you will never have corrosion again on any terminal. Thanks Rod
always like your videos and mrs t bone does a good job to
Francis next thing we know she’ll be in Hollywood producing blockbusters…. I mean besides T-Bone’s. 🙂🙂
T bone does most all the work, he does all the producing, editing, uploading. I jus help with the filming. Y'all give me too much credit 😊
Looks like the classic example of a mower always left outside in the weather!
The relay tester you recommended (Amazon) is currently not available and they don't know when or if they will get any in stock. I was going to purchase one but....
Love your videos
Hey T-bone I enjoyed your video very helpful and informative. Where are you located at?
Quick question I have a jd 110 riding mower. The mower will run but if you cut it off it wont restart unless you let it sit for 4 or 5 hours. I have cleaned the carb twice, drian old gas out of tank , new filter just like you showed in your videos. Any ideas? Thanks
👍
if you could share where you get your fly wheel keys i would greatly appreciate it all i can seem to find are metric
Need more video’s from porterhouse ohhh I mean T bone!
🤣 🤣 🤣 working on it Tony. Thanks so much for your support and commenting.
Looking for the relay tester
🥳🥳
On the switch if the latter's don't match up how do you get the wires out of the connector to move them?
Thanks for commenting. I have a video on a pto terminal that backed out of the connector. This video is from 3 years ago 😆, I think it shows it.

I tried what seemed like every test meter on the market. All readings were good...?? All connections were good...?? Then I had my neighbor "Swing Blade" to take a look at it. He discovered it was out of gas!! Go figure.
T-Bone, that machine has been rode hard for only 233 hours! You can bet the oil looks the same way. His regular maintenance schedule is cobble it when its broke. Lol. ✌🚜👍
Show everyone how to put together a recoil pull start assembly or will I have to finally make a video?
Mikel
PS When I worked for a municipal equipment maintenance shop, a lot of that happened. Guys would come in looking like WW1 trench soldiers. 5 minutes later, they were out the door with complete assembly.
If no valve lapping compound a smidge of polymeric sand mixed in some grease will do ya
People will spend big bucks for something but never give it any care or maintenance.
TBone,I thought your professnal
Also just cause a relay clicks doesn't mean it's good
👍
I can't remember where I heard the quote but it stuck with me and goes something like, "if you're not testing, you're just guessing".
That was a great video! My hat is off to Mr. and Mrs. T-Bone. 💯
Thank you Arty
All answers begin with a guess. Until tested you know nothing. Is your guess correct?
