Loved every minute of it. I would stitch every single thing you showed. I especially loved the stockings (a personal favorite if mine) but also the Miras, the L&L Santa of The Forest, Stargazer, Brooke's Books Advent calendar....all are stunning and have been on to-do list for quite a while. It's fun to see them stitched. Thanks!
Wow! Beautiful finishes! I especially love the Miras and that tiger. Such a sad story about Storm and I can't imagine how infuriating it must have been to realize you didn't have enough fabric for your L&L piece! Enjoying your videos. Thanks for sharing.
Such an amazing video!!!! I cannot believe how many beautiful pieces you have finished, you must be so proud! I really think your kids are going to enjoy taking these pieces to their home someday! Thank you for taking the time to share all of those, can’t wait until your next video! Hugs💕💕💕💕
Really enjoyed your videos. You and I share a love of teddy bears, I have incorporated teddy bears into 1 cross stitch piece. Can't wait to see more videos from you!
I have recently discovered your videos and so enjoyed both your WIP parade and your finishes. You accomplish so much. I have charts for some of your finishes and it has inspired me to pull them out and revisit. I have been stitching for over 40 years and some of the older charts are still the best. I have subscribed to your channel and look forward to your future videos.
I just came across your flosstube and I am so glad! Your stitching is fabulous and so are your finishes! Thank you for sharing. I have subscribed and will be following you.
You have amazing finishes. Congratulations on so much beautiful work. I don't know how you do it and raise two little ones! Looking forward to your next video.
Thanks for sharing your finishes! They’re such an inspiration! I would love to see you do a tutorial on how to make a wood trim frame. Yours are so perfect in the corners. I especially love the one with the lavender wax in the carved detail work!
I’m with you! I don’t like to give away my stitching. I don’t think anyone will appreciate the amount of time that goes into any piece, let alone money. So I stitch for myself or my husband.
I took an ornament finishing class at the Toronto Needlework and Sewing Festival in I think 2002 or 2003. One of the best things I ever did. I learned a lot of great tips for ornaments of course but for finishing in general. I use the same method to finish a lot of smaller projects since framing can be so expensive. I may look into making my own frames like you did. I never thought about doing that!!
Yes, the ornament class really helped me also. Did you take it through gitta's? Framing is really easy, you just need the tools but you can easily do it with a mitre box and a hand saw, which are relatively inexpensive.
What a wonderful collection of cross stitch you have, Amanda. Everything is beautiful, but Summer Ball is amazing. Thanks so much for sharing your work.
So wonderful you are podcasting again.! Love all your finishes and all your projects! Can’t wait to see what 2022 will bring as far as fun new WIP’s. Your stitching is so beautiful. Your craft room is a dream come true! Have a fantastic holiday season and we will see you in the new year! Stay happy and healthy! Blessings!
You have made some absolutely beautiful pieces. I love seeing all your finishes and it inspires me to stitch more and get more UFOs done. Thanks for the video.
What a wonderful finishing parade. Your daughter stocking was my favorite. I love the idea of having a cat themed Christmas tree. You have so many beautiful pieces. Thank you for sharing them all. Merry Christmas!!!
Thank you for your video. Your finishes are all fabulous. I would give them all A's (the last finish for the advent calendar with the Brooks Books animals was very creative! But I would give an A+ to the giraffe Mom and Baby. The color you chose for the mat and frame are perfect, just perfect! Look forward to following your stitching. Have a Wonderful Christmas with your family! Take care and happy stitching!
What an awesome parade, Amanda! All so beautiful and motivating. I love them all. I hadn't seen the ginger cat Dimensions stocking before; it's adorable! Much love!
Love d seeing your beautiful work Amanda. I've also stitched Going to the Ball. It took me 10 striate months of only stitching on it. I only stitch on one thing at a time. I've also stitched three Miriabilia Mermaids and other Miriablias and Nora Corbit. Wish i could post my work but i don't have a computer at home. Just here at work. Stitching on Sir Thomas sampler now. Loving it.
love your video! you have wonderful embroidery !! congratulations! it will be wonderful to see your next videos! Thanks for sharing, I hope your mommy is getting better every day! A hug
I really enjoyed seeing your beautiful stitching. You are very talented! Thank you for your mirabilia encouragement. I’m stitching the lavender and lace fairy grandmother in honor of my mom who passed last August. I really want to stitch her but feel intimidated. I’m learning to be patient and just keep stitching. You were very inspiring to me. God bless your family- Merry Christmas!🎄❤️
Hi cynthia! Thank you for your kind words! I'm so sorry to hear about your mom.😥 What a wonderful tribute to her. That is a lovely piece. What I like to do is split up the pattern into chunks. I take a highlighter and outline say ten 10×10 blocks and set a goal that I'm going to finish that before I switch projects. I've found that the patterns a less intimidating when you set mini goals like that! Good luck with your project and Merry Christmas to you also!
Fantastic collection of finishes! I love your story about switching to stamped cross stitch while pregnant. I could relate to finding ways to keep stitching. I love your floss wall. -Amanda Mae
I was waiting for that lovely tiger! I’m all about those mirabilia’s also. I finished santa of the forest last year too. Beautiful finishes!!!! Thank you
Love your sharing finishes. I couldn’t catch the name of the Vera mouse book. My granddaughter loves mice and I haven’t found a cute pattern for a mouse. Thanks.
Hi Michelle! Glad to meet you! Always nice to hear from other Ontario stitchers! Are you going to stitch north in April? I actually did a full craft room tour on Instagram if you are interested in seeing it.
Hi again, Amanda. This was another fun video. Thanks for wearing a mic - I could hear you fine until about halfway through Summer Ball. Have to say that except when you were holding up a finish, I was still mesmerized by the beautiful floss wall. My absolute favorite of your pieces was your daughter's stocking. So cute. The framed one of the little girls' tea party reminded me a lot of Tea with Kitty that 'stitch no hakoniwa' works on sometimes for a stitch-with-me. That's good you passed along the info for folks who love OOP Dimensions kits to try Russian sellers. Calico mentioned one in either FT #89 or 88 and linked it in the description box. I know I mentioned it before but your 'Storm' tiger piece is stunning. That is really thoughtful of your family to hide the stroller when near Storm. Do you watch Dizzy Stitcher? He stitches lots of animals, especially big cats. And, his RL kitties are amusing, too. Neat finish on your Brooke's Books Advent Animals. Bet your kids love it and the other advent calendar. Sorry for very long comment but you had a lot of cool finishes. Thanks again for sharing, Amanda. Look forward to your January update. Take care, happy stitching, and Merry Christmas!
Thanks so much! I've always struggled with my audio. I think my sweater was covering my mic halfway through🤦♀️ Yes, I have watched dizzy stitcher. He has some amazing full coverage pieces! Hope you have a wonderful holiday also!
@@luckychancestitcher Some editing software has the ability to boost sound. Jemima (Rocking Stitcher) doesn't have a mic and discovered this a few months ago. BTW, I had mentioned how your Dimensions 'Afternoon Tea' reminded me of stitch no hakoniwa's 'Tea with Kitty.' Last night I discovered she also has stitched the former. Not sure if it's still a WIP or she finished.
So many great finishes! I’ve never done a Mirabilia before (or had a strong desire to do one) but I just love your Stargazer. I think maybe it’s because of your fabric? But I remember the first time I saw it on one of your other videos I thought maybe that was one I might want to try stitching. 😄 I also love the way you finished your Brooks Books Advent Animals -> ingenious! 👏🏻 I’m all for a good advent calendar and love stitching that is interactive! Take care. 😄
Thanks kris! Yes, mirabilias are definitely an "acquired taste". I think that's why they aren't as popular as other designers. I wasn't sure about the fabric when I first started her but I love the end result! The advent animals were so much fun to stitch. My kids have really enjoyed it the past couple of years!

Love this finish parade. I'm getting ready to start working on my first Miribilia Miss Cherry Blossom and have never stitched on linen so I am just a bit intimidated. Do you start your stitching in the middle of a project?
Yay! I stitched my first Nora Corbett this year and I loved it. The patterns are just so gorgeous. I stitched mine on evenweave bc I don’t love linen. I will say doing fractional stitches on evenweave or linen is much easier, which is a nice perk. Stitching on linen definitely takes some getting used to but it’s not terrible. Hi can you show the background with all your floss.
Where did you find the Design Works cat cross stitch tree skirt?
I got it from herschners years ago, probably 2005 or 2006.
Do you finish the backs of the stamped quilts? I am about to start my first. Lovely work!
Thanks! No, I don't finish the backs.
Do you frame your own pieces?
I do with some but my larger ones are professionally done.
