I now own this CBR and I have took it apart front to back just so I no if it’s a-good bike and yes it is 👍 I did race one of these back in the day and now I just love riding the CBR like the 55 year old bloke I am ….very steady 👍
I used to have the exact same bike with the same colours, but with braided hoses and an after market end can. An amazing bike which i rode every day all year round through ice, rain, and snow with zero issues. I cannot fault this bike apart from the regulator/rectifier which may go and need replaced, but thats its only issue. The paint finish is outstanding and stands up to years of UK salted roads in the winter. This carbureted version is better than the later FGM Honda CBRs which i regretted buying later and cost me a lot. Such an amazing bike in every way still after riding it for many years. I should have not have ever sold it.
Orienting for a bike like this, or the F4 to get some KM's and fun playtime on. Subbed for support! Deffo gonna watch some more vids of the Honda and the BMW looks dope too! Might check that built out too!
I have a 1996 F3... I was planning to sell it.. but after fixing the oil leak and have my carbs cleaned... I decided to keep it and just add another bike haha

@@Eight20 @Eight20 1999 was the last F3 the F4 came late 99, ultima lite in between the change over. in the uk at least. No compression means bye bye if you haven't got that straightened out yet. Hopefully it's just the top end because to split that case is incredibly not fun.
Replace the R/R with a GSXR unit and adjust the harness. I went through several OEM honda parts on my 98' and frankly the factory parts are trash. I replaced the OEM stator with a Rick's Electric stator at the same time and several hundred miles later I have no issues with the charging system (even with the bike off the tender).
It's an F3, the F2 was from 91-94 and the F3 was from 95-98, easiest way to tell is the ram ports that you can see @0:07 also it's written on the bike "Direct Air Induction" the F2 never had this.
@@Eight20 Despite that, the greatest difference is the front end. 95 saw the introduction of damping and preload adjustment, although rumour has it that not all of the F3's got them until '97. I dunno. I have a '96 and a '97 and the front ends are identical.

Thats the best cbr paint job honda ever did imo.
Ahh but you haven't seen the north America spec 92 blue & white, north the deep blue and golden yellow of the non Camel bikes...

Are they that rare? I have an opportunity to purchase a 95' CBR600 F3 for $1000.00, just looking into them now.

I have a 99 F3, 22yrs I've had it, 9 8k miles and i would not swap it for anything,
I prefer the later shape F3, they have the nicer tail unit and front mud guard. Great all round bikes.

What did you end up doing with it? Send it to me in Africa.

it has 100hp...don't expect to much power. specially in low and mid revs.
I hit 140mph before it topped out! The old carbed versions are fast as feck!
Mine isn’t even lighting up anymore before I replaced the rectifier it would for a second then slowly die but not it won’t even light anything at all
