We discovered the incredible city of Sibenik on our recent trip to the coast. There's so much to explore both in the city center, and in the whole Sibenik region.
Sibenik is home to two UNESCO sites, which is quite rare to have two in one city. The Cathedral of St. James, as well as the St. Nicholas Fortress are both UNESCO heritage sites in Sibenik, and are worth visiting.
After spending a couple of days in the city, we went to visit a local winery, Baraka, where Filip walked us through a fantastic wine tasting, and treated us to the most wonderful platter of meat, cheese, nuts & more.
We loved Sibenik, it's definitely a less-discovered little gem on the Adriatic.

I'm hungarian, lived next to the croatian border. My godmother is hungarian speaker croatian. I love Croatia as much, that I wrote my thesis about it at the end of the university.

Beautiful family, great videos. My father, now 81, was a novice at Sibenik Cathedral, since back in the 1950s the Church and Yugoslav Army (a big nono) were the only education he could get, coming from a dirt poor village in Tomislavgrad. Thank God he left, got married, and had us kids. Fast fwd to today, I got my education in the US, and live in Hong Kong. But it all started in Sibenik. One of the great gems of our homeland.

I watched and enjoyed “The National” from New York & Cincinnati on Saint Mihovil Castle on 2nd of August 2014 in Šibenik. It was one of the best concerts in my life. Fantastic music in a warm summer night open air in this beautiful ancient fortress under the sky full of stars.they gave another concert in Šibenik and enjoyed several days in Dalmatia spending their summer vacations in Šibenik, Krka national park etc

Kvalitetni kadrovi, solidan editing, light-hearted atmosfera uz taman dovoljno things to see informacija. Svaki turističko promotivni video na ovom kanalu obriše pod sa svih 29 godina marketinških kampanja Hrvatske turističke zajednice. HTZ, šta se čeka, Sarah za direktoricu marketinga, još jučer.

Ako smijem, dao bih jedan savjet tehničke prirode. Nabavite si neku povoljnu i solidnu gimbal kameru (npr. DJI Osmo Pocket 2 ili samo gimbal ako već imate dobru kameru). Zbog stabilizacije sve snimke iz ruke i u pokretu će izgledati još malo kvalitetnije i potpuno kristalno čiste.

@@RoyalCroatianTours Koji model kamere koristite? Je li kamera DSLR, Mirrorless, action (GoPro) ili nešto drugo...? Gimbal ovisi o modelu kamere koju imate, sa DJI (Ronin S/SC, RS/RSC2 modeli), ili Zhiyun-om (npr. Weebill-s) ne možete pogriješiti ako je vaša kamera na supported listi (zbog dimenzija, težine i kontrola). Savjetujem da pogledate par testova tih modela i vidite što se vam ulazi u buđet i što vam se najviše sviđa za korištenje, jer je dosta bitno da vam ergonomija odgovara. DJI Pocket 2 i dalje ostaje preporuka zbog svoje praktičnosti i izuzetno male mase od cca 120g.
Kanal je top, obitelj tako draga da ih mogu gledati cijeli dan. Po meni uloziti u bolji aparat, npr Sony a6600 + sigma 16mm , snimanje nikako auto WB jer se to vidi na svakom videu. Lp

The best is sailing and passing through Šibenik. At the entrance, passing through the fort. Stop overnight in Šibenik, but in the old town. Not in the marina, industrial surroundings...
Then sail all the way to Skradin and take the vaporetto to KRKA National park. Great trip..!!!

My hometown! Make sure you visit the other two fortresses the next time you visit, they should all be connected with cable cars including the St. Michael fortress in near future. You'll be able to see the whole town traveling through the sky ❤️

Next time also try to visit Sokolarski centar (Birds of pray sanctuary) 10 min North of Sibenik... realy, realy nice people are running it. Children will love it!

As a kids we were always climbing on St Nicholas fortress, some of us who were braver would even jump from the top into the sea, that is quite dangerous but i guess fun in some way, i never jumped but alot of my friends did.
Oh my goodness, I that would be scary!! lol
And kids are still jumping from its walls, last time i jumped there in 2019. but i hope to do it again this summer. Nowdays it is harder to get in but its still possible. I guess you could say it’s not such a well-known tradition. But its verry dangerous becouse you can jump only from few specific spots were the sea is deeper. I would definitely not recommend this to tourists who could easily get hurt.

Correction. This is NOT the playground where Dražen first started playing basketball. This is a court that was build in his honor, behind his statue and besides the city basketball gym. The playground you showed is known as "Draženovo igralište" aka. Dražen's court.
You actually showed the place where he started playing basketball. We call it "Draženov koš" or Dražen's basket. The basket where he started playing is at 8:04, right above his Golf, on the garage wall that has the graffiti and a memorial plaque on it. Don't know how you missed that.

What is the Black lives matter movement like in Croatia?
Croatia has a special type of black lives matter movement which is not so aggressive as american and it is very popular. Every summer you have to lay down on the beach until you are black. You have to drink also plenty of dark vine or beer.
