Today we get into the new KVD beauty foundation! The foundation seemed to have blown up on TikTok, seemed like everyone was saying how good it was. So I decided to give it a try! Make sure to watch til the end to hear and see my final thoughts.

I wish I had her glowy skin. My skin is dry and patchy and foundation just looks like crap on me.
People are also not accounting for the lights in front of her are making her skin look shinier than it would be in a regular setting. Lights reflect of moisturized skin way more when you have filming lights on (which is why pale skinned youtubers wear foundation that's slightly darker, cause the lights can wash people out). But people don't realize this isn't the same as if you're just in a room with someone in overhead lights

So I love the finish but it really really REALLY irks my soul that their deepest color doesn’t match you. Like she’s a whole person and has to settle for something that isn’t her color or “make it work”. They just have to do better, there are women with deeper complexions and how dare you send something in PR wanting her to speak positively of it and you didn’t even spend the time to make sure it was her color smfh
Truth!! The fact that it was PR and it doesn’t match her?? The audacity of KVD to toss her a foundation that’s too light and just expect her to make it work to give them free advertising...

I can’t stand wearing foundation on my neck too. It’s just so much work trying to avoid getting on everything

I'd rather match my face foundation to my neck and keep my neck bare than to go over my neck with tons of foundation... Even for my ears, i lightly dust foundation on the outer lobe, half of my ear gets covered with earrings anyway... And a little redness seems natural 🤷

@@btslolita3859 For real, it’s too much work 😅 Wearing makeup is already hard so I just stopped wearing foundation on my whole face and just blend a bit of foundation onto my red patches and blemishes to get a natural ish not too cakey look (mostly because I don’t know how to properly pull it off) and that way I don’t have to worry about matching neck

It's meant for people with dry skin. If I wore that my skin would absorb the oils and hydrate my skin. Then it would be matte
On actual dry skin like mine which is what its made for its matte i have extreme eczema it’s amazing

Someone called me oily once and I'm like no it's just my skin cause I'm dry as hell so I get you, shoot even my shins are shiny, lol. The finish is really pretty. I think I might try this eventually.

If you do try it as she said it is NOT transfer proof unless you have a secret weapon you are keeping from us lol...but it is a beautiful finish and plays well with other products so far and a LITTLE goes a long way, it blends like a dream definitely apply with a brush and finish with a sponge and set her down

Tasia Noneya i’ve seen so many reviews on this and everyone has said it’s oily throughout the day even with the driest of skin or normal skin it breaks apart and gets oily and patchy, i was gonna get it bc it looks so good in tiktoks at first but especially w my oily skin i could never

I have been thinking this for a long time but I couldn't put it into words correctly!! She really does 😍
I like how everyone is like “it’s too heavy” and “i don’t want to use too much” and then literally dig their brush into the pan. When I tell you you only need to dip your brush in once or twice into the pan people that’s all you need. There is a reason that there is so little product in there. Similar to professional cream foundations these are incredibly pigmented
Yeah I have a tendency to be heavy handed when it comes to putting on foundation. I’ve never used cream foundation before but I might have to try it.

OMG 💖 this foundation is sooo beautiful!
It does NOT cake up when you one tap the tips of your bristles... light handed blending (more like buffing) allover... stretch that one tap allover one half of your face then repeat for other half!
I wish people would see how to wear it correctly!

@@SamMKKK let's be fair, we aren't all gonna find a match in every brand. If you do then you are blessed, but the judgement should be based on
1. A sizeable and evenly spread out shade range.
2. The shades they do have are actually good, undertones considered and can be worn by humans.
3. Great formulation.
4. Does what it claims.
@@olavihekandjo2928 The problem with this rationality is how slow this progression has come. Prior to fenty, makeup brands didn't give two sh*ts on inclusion of shade range, and poc often had to always mix or travel towns over to find a simple match when pale consumers were catered to constantly.
Its only when fenty showed how much money they were making, did other companies feel we were worth the money.
So I agree with the other girl above. Its 2021 and there's often 30-60 shades of pale with 5 to 8 brown shades and its just not acceptable anymore.
Brown skin has more shade range, so its ridiculous that pale consumers are still the ones with the most option. Makeup brands have the money to do it.
@@-kohakuma- i think they mean that even if you have the shade range of Fenty... people still get left out... realistically (aka me bc i don’t have a Fenty shade lol)... but Fenty is great bc they have an evenly spread shade range with wearable undertones, great formulation, and it does what it claims (as the comment listed)... i think that’s the point they were making...

Just rip the bandaid off and get a whole new name that has nothing to do with the letters KVD - that will forever invoke Kat Von D the person and idk why they want the brand associated with her in any way shape or form.

Let me tell you: it's all true. I turned 30 last year and the last year..my stress level has significantly lowered. Even when I was going through some friendship issues...even just relationship issues..brah, it just hit different. You just realize that the things that had power before shouldn't have had it in the first place. I hope you love every moment of entering into your 30s. It's awesome.

Oml i first started watching this channel a few months ago thinking she was eighteen, then finding out she was getting married, then thinking she was MAX 24 because of her youthful glow and now im finding out from the queen herself shes almost 30. i was embarrassed the other day bc i had to grab the LIGHTEST shade of foundation and concealer. videos like these make me feel thankful that i even have a shade that matches my face so well. hope the makeup industry continues to expand to more inclusive and even darker colors!

@@stankyratman5685 I have the worst problem with oxidation turning foundations "yellow" or "orange" on my skin. Even the pinked toned fairest choices. I'm moving to MakeUp Forever matte powder foundation in R210 or a skin tint bcs anything matte looks wrong on me. I hate it.

Its pretty full coverage and it says to use a densely packed foundation kabuki type ended brush and you get great coverage and a satin finish and round the 3 or 4 hr mark it gets a bit oily but it holds up great for at least 8 hrs!
I just started using a kabuki instead of a beauty blender and omg!!! My life changed
Yes girl I have this foundation and it is beautiful...its just NOT transfer proof or resistant at all I guess its perfect for spring early summer where we can be outdoors and unmasked a little easier at the moment. But because of the transfer I will reach for other foundations first...but I do really like this other than that

I'm 29 and I've noticed a MASSIVE difference in my stress levels in the past year. I started seeing a therapist and getting help with my mental health and things have been great! I think the older you get, the more you realize that the things that use to stress you out matter a lot less than they use to.
