  • Welcome to The Wonders of Watercolour where each week we provide a free tutorial (full length) - we even provide you with free traceables so that you can trace down your outline if you dislike drawing freehand. This week we are all about granulating colours and super fast painting - so if you are looking for a quick and easy project, then this is for you. I have used paints from Deep Deep Light - they are my absolute favourite paints - but you can use anything you like. I have a discount code 'DEEPDEEPRAE' which will give you a 10% discount off all their paints - I have listed all the materials used below but as always, use what you have and if you get stuck, let me know in the comments and I will help you:
    PAINT:

    Partridge
    Rose Ashes - all from Deep Deep Light

    What a wonderful and simple project. I love the granulation of the colours and I’m looking forward to painting these, hopefully later today. Thank you Rae, for another wonderful tutorial. And by the way, you don’t waffle. You explain in detail, and that’s great. - Dawn 🌅

    Thanks for showing us more uses for granulating paints. I appreciate them more now than I used to, but I still use them sparingly.

    My aunt Mary used to give us honesty seeds to plant. Honestly, they usually went in the bin. 🤣 It tried to look up your paints and couldn't find the colours, but no matter, all far too expensive for me. Love your work though, magnificent.

    Rae, I use Daniel Smith paints. Would these DS paints be close to Moonglow, and, Piemonite Genuine? The Prickly Pear color I do not know a DS paint that would be close.

    • @helencampbell
      @helencampbell  Місяць тому

      Hi. Moon glow is kind of similar to Partridge but Partridge is a bit more brownie. You could try mixing glow with piemontite. it would certainly make an interesting colour, if you’ve got Daniel Smith’s undersea green and mixed up with a little pink that would also work or at least, as I said, make an interesting colour that is granulating
