Man AoE 1 and 2 was one of my favorite childhood games and definitely contributed to my love of history and military history as an adult. Haven't played since AoE 2 but picked up 4 on game pass and am looking forward to checking it out later!.

Since you are from that area, how about letting us know if the pronunciations are correct for the units and buildings and such. Those of us in the English speaking world typically get it wrong and just pronounce it like it is spelled, which is usually incorrect.
@@rednab2001 wouldn like to but would only work if I make a call as the pronunciations are completely different from the English language. Some letter prpomoncuitatioms dont even exist in the English language.
Great guide! As much as I love playing the Mongols, boy is it hard keeping track of everything, so I'll try using your tips. I also wish the Feudal Age early lancers were still a thing, I usually did a hard switch to them from Horsemen in Age II
The khan idea makes me think not having a leader unit for every faction was a bit of a missed opportunity. Then again it's very unique, and leader units were already a part of aoe3 anyway, I guess
I'm just spit balling here but with all I've seen of age of empires I'd like to see an age of empires warhammer. With most if not all of the playable factions fans know and love. That being said I'd love to play historical age of empires.

@@thegametroll6264 yea I figured you meant an RTS option. I’m a big total war fan bc of the huge scale of the campaign and battles. I know that some of the warhammer 40K games (like dawn of war) are actual RTS like AoE. Idk if there are ones for regular warhammer (not 40K).
*zerg. The only thing that is terran about them, is the relocating of the buildings. In terms of playstyle they are very close to the zergs imo. You thrive on guerilla tactics and fast expansion, not to mention the yam network is much like the creep, essentially turning your outposts into creep tumors. Thats how I see it anyway
How do you trade stones with mongol ! i got 9 traders and technology for stone trading but whatever i do it says you should place an ovoo on stonecropping, i just can't figure it out how you send traders on an ovoo .😐
I'm sure you figured this out by now but you don't trade with the ovoo, your traders go back and forth to the market as usual and in Imperial you can research a tech at your ovoo that adds stone to your trade
Mongolian here. Ovoo is pronounced literally like OwO. Not even kidding.
