The fact that this channel makes Retro Gaming content AND Theme Park content is amazing, two of my favorite things on earth on one channel! The videos are also amazing, good job on all these videos.
I can’t ride coasters anymore as my back is so messed up… but I love watching roller coaster POV’s… it lets me experience many newer coasters that I will never ride…. I think I would love the Gatekeeper and other wing coasters…
Love this ride. I got on it FIVE times on Sunday. It's fast but not too fast. It's intense but not too intense. It's silky smooth and the left and right sides have completely different experiences.
I rode gatekeeper back in 2018, and it didn’t feel like the thrilling coaster as I was hoping it would be. It felt slow compared to the other big coasters in the park
I might try this sometime. I still, however, have a large amount of animosity towards Cedar Point for the removal of one of my main favorites in the park, Space Spiral, even after 8 years.
For me, I haven't ridden a B&M wing coaster, since Canada's Wonderland doesn't have one, but I think I'd enjoy Gatekeeper. It's kind of like a dive coaster: the public will love them, but enthusiasts, not so much. I rode Yukon Striker last year, and I rode that 6 times, because one, there was no line when I went, and two, I just loved the ride that much. So I guess you can say I'm a fan of B&M models that not a lot of enthusiasts like. I'm an enthusiast that mainly wants to focus on the ride experience, and nothing too specific, so a rattle isn't something that'll bother me with a B&M coaster.
I haven't been on Yukon Striker, but I have ridden Valravn which feels similar to Gatekeeper. Aside from the difference in the trains, the two have similar elements so if you enjoyed Yukon Striker I'd definitely say Gatekeeper is a must ride!
@@RampagingRex I also agree with your point that the roller coasters that Cedar Fair invests in are for the masses, since they bring in the most revenue for the company in order to invest into their other parks. Enthusiasts shouldn't feel entitled to getting everything they want, because from a business perspective that would not make sense, since Cedar Fair could potentially lose several million dollars on their investment from not being able to target a greater audience. That's why coasters like Gatekeeper and Valravn are built.
I love the way the air hits your nose on this ride, it feels like you`re getting more oxygen. Anyone ever feel that too? Only complaint is that if you don't like spiders, try not to look at the walls while waiting lol
Six Flags Great America's Xflight is much smaller and compact...making it more thrilling and forceful, imo. Gatekeeper is a long beautiful coaster but a bit of a sleeper.
While there is nothing I inherently disagree with, did you have any footage that was not from this year? Literally any footage at all of people not having those fucking things raping their faces and preventing them from having a good time?
Gatekeeper: Has no airtime with vest restrains Wild Eagle: Similar to Gatekeeper Me: Wild Eagle's vests aren't tight and manage to have a couple moments of airtime Also Me, grant it I was holding the vest to prevent tightness but still
You always know a RampagingRex Productions video will be great
True
Aren’t you the lil phantom guy?
@@Splater765 Yes, yes I am
I’ll have to make a “History of Lil Phantom” video here soon.
@@RampagingRex Lmao I was thinking of making a Lil Phantom history video on April Fool's Day
GateKeeper continues to grow on me every time I visit the park. Honestly, its turning into an underrated roller coaster.

Love your videos man, so informative and genuinely good!
I'm a big Gatekeeper supporter. I love wing coasters!

You really need to ride it on a hot day to really like it. On a chilly day this thing always is on the verge of valleying.
@@Stagnant_Gravy I did go on a summer day, and still wasn't catching the vibe
Me: alright time for bed
Rex: uploads

I sadly never got to go on Space Spiral, as my first visit to the park was in 2014.
I can't wait to go to ceder point next year for my first time

I loved this coaster
Gatekeeper is themed to a guardian eagle that guards the entrance of Cedar Point.

You need to ride Thunderbird at Holidayworld
nice video 😳
Fyi Gatekeeper only has 3 trains not 4, good video though
