I just started using this hair product. My close friend’s sister’s boyfriend helped make this product. I have relatively thick hair, and they let me try Monarch. It works amazing for me because of my slick back and makes it look more relaxed.
I feel slightly dissapointed with Blumaan after their Cavalier Clay. Very good and honest review, but the product isn't all that unique as I expected it to be.
Jekkuverner deffintly, the hold isn't really strong and its kinda hard to get rid of the scent of it.
This is meant for thin hair so I hope both of you have thin hair but if not you have no reason to say it's bad

As you said it really all comes down to hair type. When I was asked to test out the final product, at least I believe it was the final one since I tested it in April, I had some different results. I have much lighter and thinner hair than a lot of youtubers out there. In fact I would describe my hair as exactly the texture as Robin James. The product as a post styler did everything the description that in now says on the official tub(when given to me there was no information given to us but that it was a Matt paste). The product gave the hold as expected and texture similar to Cavalier Clay. I found that I didn’t really need hairspray as I usually have to do with heavier products because of how it worked for me. Also I actually found that I kinda prefer Monarch as a prestyler over original. Unlike the let down that was Hybrid, Monarch def is a dominant finer hair product.
Still Rough Rider fo life! Longest and steadisest consistent hold and mattest finish.

Yo you think the pete and pedro salt would work as a prestyler and then monarch when its dry?
I was excited to try this stuff being intrigued by it's versatility, consistency, and application. The biggest thing I couldnt get past however was the smell. To me it smelled like a cheap artificial floral scent which never really faded when applied to my hair, sort of like a cheap candle or plug in air freshener. After only a few hours in my hair, it started giving me a headache. I was really disappointed and had to send it back. Would love it if they reformulated it to have more of a neutral smell, or no smell.
I can see where your coming from. It’s not a scent I prefer, it wouldn’t have been my first choice but it doesn’t bother me. I wouldn’t be upset if they chose to change it tho 🤷♂️

Can’t wait for the new fifth sample . I currently have an old fifth sample pomade I recently got from my country’s locker store but I’m really not very impressed with it . My hair felt very soft throughout the day with the pomade in my hair but as I wash it out my hair was very dry . Really hope the new fifth sample would have a easier washout , natural to mid shine .
Gaun X hmm.. you sure it’s a legit jar? Fifth hasn’t been produced in quite a while since the issues with the lab took place. I’ve also been a tester for it since the beginning and it’s never ever made my hair dry, and it was specifically designed to 1- rinse out with water and 2- make the hair feel conditioned and soft after it rinses.
Modern Man TV yes it’s a legit jar of fifth sample . The reason it was available was because that store had it before the fifth sample went out of stock and the last few jars made available was hidden at the back therefore it caught my attention and I manage to purchase it

Whats wrong with 5th sample? I had a jar and i though it was one of the best pomades i had ever used
Luca Richards nothing’s wrong with it persay, the lab they were using to make fifth couldn’t meet expectations and make the product consistently so they had to take the product to a new lab and that involves testing to make sure that lab is making it the way they want. They don’t wanna release it until they feel it’s up to standard.
What's the difference between this paste and the hybrid cream clay? Also which one would you recommend for everyday use?

Honestly would love to try this product out but I’m in Singapore and the weather here is very hot so I’m a little sceptical about this product as the previous blumaan products didn’t do well in my hair . Cavalier actually wasn’t that bad but on certain days cavalier clay screws up my hair but other than that my hair remained poofed up . Hybrid was definitely one of the products which had the least hold but somehow it is a very great pre styler so I really hope this product would keep my hair good throughout the day
Singaporean here and I think one thing that really messes up our styled hair is the humidity here, so I highly doubt that the Monarch will do much better than the Hybrid in terms of long-term hold due to their "lightweight formula". Like you, Cavalier sometimes messes up my hair for some reason so what I generally do nowadays is mix a little bit of Cavalier (around a 10cent coin in width) with some Hybrid Cream Clay. It's been working fine so far so maybe you'd like to experiment a bit and see what works for you, rather than just sticking with just one product.
ex_supersoldier hybrid just doesn’t work at all in Singapore . I put it into my hair and 30 mins later my hair is beyond uncontrollable. Cavalier still can work for a few hours

How does it compare to the Hybrid Cream Clay by Blumaan?
Well like I said in the video... it has more hold more texture and is more dry. It’s more of a traditional matte paste.

Ricardo Martinez I suppose I could look into it. I wasn’t really actively pursuing it because it really just looks to me to be another “Hairbello” type line using Beckham’s image to move product. A lot of folks said Hairbello was supposed to be awesome because of MDV and look how that turned out haha.

Hey mike. This is unrelated to the video but i have a question. I use Lockhart’s matte clay and am looking in to the enigma cream. I am hoping the hold to enigma is more loose, and hope that it washes out easier (it takes two washes for me in the matte clay). How do the two compare?

Victor Saldana very much so. I didn’t have time to go over it here but using monarch as a pre styler and cav as a post works for sure although it’s not really needed and they are obviously products that result in 2 different things so having them both are easily justifiable.

What's the difference between this(Monarch) and Hybrid Cream Clay?
Cream clay has a weaker hold and feels heavier than Monarch. You can use more monarch and not weigh your hair down unlike cream clay.

Monarch has a heavier hold, but Hybrid is a clay, and I love that clay texture. I'm torn. Can you help me out mate? My hairtype is between a thick and a thin hair type, something in between.
@@edw0rd21 If in doubt go for Monarch. Hybrid's for a more relaxed volumized hairstyle. Monarch is a lot more versatile.

They are two very different products. They offer two different things and result in two different outcomes so you can’t compare the two.

From the reviews I've seen, they're both great for thin hair but the monarch paste has a stronger hold
And the monarch paste has a lower shine
Monarch has more hold and is better for post styling for me. Hybrid is lightweight and better for pre styling with me. They are different enough that I actually use them together.

Is it just me or are all Bluuman products kinda geared towards the same hairstyles? No disrespect because I'm sure the products are great quality and I love Joe's videos, but it seems to me that unless the quiff like hairstyles are your thing then Bluuman just isn't for you.
Adam Daniels I can see your perspective there but that might be just because we don’t see a lot of different styles done with the products. Your right the quiff is everywhere and sometimes I find myself even wondering what I could do differently. But I have seen other styles done here. Short textured looks, long slick backs, contours and pompadours with the fifth sample Pomade, there are possibilities there.

Modern Man TV yes I just frustate by my scalp when using clay or wax and I want product with light and safe to use everyday to clean the product without worry because I have dry scalp and psiorasis
EDIT : healed my psiorasis while ago.. praise God..I use Tgel by neutrogena and than right now found out Davines purifying scalp help for dandruff maybe psiorasis too.. I like davines products so far

Rasydan Jr I’m not sure how to help with applying, I really just take some and work it in all the way. If your using a blow dryer that really helps establish volume before adding in the product. If you add too much it can really make it hard so I just use about a finger tip size and work it in to the roots.

Cavalier or monarch??which has a better hold?
Manish Thapa depends. If you have real thick hair like me I’d say cavalier clay is slightly better than monarch. I just tested it out today and the problem with it is in the heat it kinda starts losing it’s hold, but otherwise it has a good hold. Since this paste has clay ingredients in it, it has a similar texture to cavalier yet it has slightly less control/hold. After I initially applied the product to my hair I had to go back in 20 minutes later and add a bit more for a stronger hold because the style wasn’t in set.
Mike Capalungan cavalier kinda starts to lose it's hold....its really hot here in Nepal...so I was hoping if monarch would be a better choice
Manish Thapa oh, that sucks. I live in America, but besides that than I would say monarch isn’t that good in heat either. I tested this out today because I just got it and it was about 90 degrees F outside and the hold was loosening fast as well as the style of my hair was changing and loosing its shape. I had to reapply after 20 minutes or so because of how quickly the heat was making this product weaken. I’d look for a different product to hold up to the heat because this nor cavalier are the best for high heat. I hope this helped!

but a "normal" brand has specialists and chemists involved in the process how can a youtuber compete with that?
viciousweasel who do you think makes the product lol. The lab has the specialists who makes the formulas. The brand then asks for testers with various hair types to test the product and make sure it’s actually working for people.

I don’t work for Blumaan, I was not paid to test this product I was asked to use it and give my honest opinion. Is it better than label M matte paste? No clue but I bet there’s other creators out there who have been paid to review for them 😂😂😂 they will tell you it’s the best. And if I depended on Blumaan why the hell am I not at a higher sub count? What exactly am I depending on them for? These are the things I think you guys don’t think about when you make unfair claims like what you just did.

Seriously though what is the point of using multiple products in the hair. Trying to make a product work by using another product before hand just wastes time and money. You’ve tried really hard in this video not to completely slate this product because let’s face it when you style your high pomp/quaff you want a product that keeps it there. And I genuinely haven’t come across any product on the market that maintains a structured hairstyle without the use of hairspray
MrRavsta88 where to start...haha.. I didn’t “try” to do anything. If this was a crap product I would have said so. a lot of people including myself don’t like hair spray. I hate how it makes my hair feel. So pre styling is a very good and easy option that a ton of people are adopting. And yes there is lots of products that keep my hair in place without hairspray, that again I never use and even without pre styling. We only discussed it here, because one of the negatives that I found for me ( yes negatives because that’s called being honest) was the endurance. But again I wouldn’t be honest if I didn’t also discuss the remedies that I found, that also discusses the ability to use it with the other Blumaan products, because that too was a designed feature. Apologies, this was more of a generalisation of the direction these products are going and the direction the industry is going in trying to promote multiple products to achieve a hairstyle. This product will never be for me, due to my hair type, and you did clearly say that in your video. No criticism on your review's honesty.

Thanks but it's not fear it's called concern and self-awareness some products are safer and healthier than others.. these products are leave in products and stay in our hair sometimes overnight and the next day.. it's an issue for some people . ...have a good one
Aprolifix Blue yes sir! It’s great to be aware and concern but sometimes it’s not quite accurate. Take cavalier for example. When it came out folks were in an up roar surrounding its use of mineral oil, saying it causes cancer when in fact cosmetic grade is more purified and not linked to any of that. I’m all for being aware of what we’re using but a lot of that it isn’t right. Another example is the need for heat protectant. I discussed this recently that I read a study that said heat from a blow dryer does nothing to damage the hair and air drying actually caused more damage! Go figure that! If there was something toxic I’d be more than happy to look at it as such, I mean I have a 2 year old and I share my products with him a lot, I’d never want anything harmful to be given to him.

Charlie Ives we are! I’m on the testing team for fifth sample like I said in the video. We are doing very elaborate testing on that. They had to switch labs and with that switch we had to basically start over with the formula and they are using testers like me to make sure it works for all hair types
