I was there :D It was so amazing FNM have been one of my favourite bands for about 8-9 years. Started listening to them when i was 4 (thanks to dad) :D
I am so pleased these vids have been posted. I was there last night, it was all just astounding. Almost too much to cope with. I didn't know whether to cry or throw up lol! I had to stop myself. Ridiculously brilliant!
Thanks FNM for being one of the most creative bands ever - headed by an absolute legend in Patton - now get your asses down to Australia - Sydney to be precise!!!
the fact that mike Patton doesn't perform the songs exactly as they are on the albums is one of the things I love about him , so what he doesn't sound like hes hoped up on helium in 1989. To love Patton takes a step off the cliff
Saw these guys back in the early 90s with Helmet and the Flaming Lips. Awesome show. I couldn't find anyone who could go with me so I bought a single ticket, and when I got there my seat was not gone--I mean it was physically GONE--just an empty spot with the remnants of a broken seat bolted to the floor, so a kindly usher let me watch the entire show from the wings. A little stroll down amnesia lane . . .
JON is an amazing guitarist i saw him play and how hard he plays this amazing man, i never meet a more smart or humble guy like him in the rock world. he wrote strip serach and that an awesome song. don't talk about people that you don't know a thing about.
God...I would do ANYTHING to see this live...favorite song...favorite album...favorite band. But seriously...get off the pumpkin farm already, Big Jim!
Going to see them in the Olympia in Dublin in 2 weeks! Get in! 1,300 tickets. Cannot wait! :D They were awesome at Download, but I really am looking forward to seeing them in a smaller venue.
So awesome to see Mike Bordin back with FNM. He has so much more creativity with his drumming in this band alot more than he did with Ozzy. Look foward to a new album and world tour from these guys! I'm sooo stoked!!!
Christ, can you believe Mike's in his early forties now? He doesn't look a day over thirty. And his voice is better now than it ever was. Dude's pretty easy to be jealous of, what a bastard.
I could not agree more with Thinchap's reply to your comment and also about Jon Hudson's guitar playing!!! FNM wanted to go In a new direction and was not Into the change!!! Mike Patton is one of the BEST FRONTMEN & a very versatile vocalist!!! I am a vocalist In the local club scene and pushing 50!!! You are NOT GOING TO HIT THE HIGH'S from 20 plus years ago!!! And Hudson's guitar playing Is excellent!!! I seen them In Philly a couple years back and they FUCKING KICKED ASS!!!! But the part that I do not get Is they only played like 5 shows in the US? 1 in Philly 2 in Brooklyn and I think 2 in California. Im pretty certain they are not under any label or contract!! They play all over the WORLD TO HUGE Audiences and the shows In the states were filled as well!!!! I just hope they write something new!! When they played King For A Day. It was like the crowd was In a Trance!!! And I was not even Drinking!!!! FNM RULES !!!!!!!
There show where by god he sounded just like he did in 1991, he doesn't typically sing the way he used to, I for sure wanna go these guys live when they tour the U.S
Patton can't sing anymore? Dude that's bullshit, he's always taken the piss out of this song live and always fucks about with the vocals on it. He's still the best most versatile vocalist around, look up any other performance of patton right up to today and you will find exceptional performances as well as ones where he just fucks around depending on his mood and the song. Also, Jon hudson is a great guitarist. I was there and it was fucking amazing.
so pissed off at these guys, fucking love them got holidays and gigs all sorted for 09 prior to xmas, then they go and fucking reform and i can't go and it's not fair :(
@CaptainCorpulence Artist is still a profession. Artists, no matter how influential and talented and Mike Patton they are, still need money to live. And fuck it, is there anyone complaining about this tour? No, not the fans at least. It's a win-win. They make money and we get to see them live once again. Although I'm fairly certain that was not their motive, I wouldn't really care if it was.
Oh my gosh, you don't know idea how this man was in your perfomance here in Sao Paulo-BR. Jesus, i never thought that Mike would do a perfomance like this one. Really, i swear, i also agree this wasn't great, but here in SP, he was really really great in his performance. Everyone here said: Mike Patton is better than eleven years ago... And I agree with them! (sorry for my english..)
favorite faith no more song the groove in this song is unbelievablely catchy i play this to my gay ass friends who like pop music and they love this song!!
Sounded a lot better when you were actually there, I think the sound recording isn't very good. It sounded amazing live I thought. They were amazing, best gig I've been to since Life of Agony
@TheInbornMechanics Maybe they have yet write new material... I mean, RATM had a successful Festival Reunion tour as well, but they haven't released anything new either.. They're probably just getting used to playing together again and getting the creative juices flowing. At least one can hope for some new FNM in the future! I would love that too!
He gave up the twaing in his voice after The Real Thing because he wanted to be a more well rounded vocalist. He also said he never wanted to make any of the albums sound the same. So that's why there was a big jump from TRT to Angel Dust.
Great performance, I watched it live earlier today. One question, does anyone know what (I think) Roddy said about Jim Martin during the concert? I had some friends in the room who were talking, but I just heard something said about Jim Martin during some onstage banter (can't even remember what song it was after).
Hey, does anybody know what they said about Jim Martin during this show? I had some other people in the room talking at the time, but I think Roddy said something about Jim Martin and I was just curious what was said.
@Brxa of course you would think his voice regressed if you were ONLY comparing it to TRT, but if you've been following/being up to date with the following albums and his other projects, he actually developed a well rounded voice. Other than that i think his vox was a li'l dry at some point, but he did great with the other songs
I was there :D It was so amazing
FNM have been one of my favourite bands for about 8-9 years. Started listening to them when i was 4 (thanks to dad) :D
Welcome back one of the best bands ever
Thanx 4 the upload
I still can't believe I'm watching this....I never, ever, ever thouught this would happen.
I've seen twice in the last four days and I really do like the way he sings it now. His voice is deeper than it was 20 years ago.
I am so pleased these vids have been posted. I was there last night, it was all just astounding. Almost too much to cope with. I didn't know whether to cry or throw up lol! I had to stop myself. Ridiculously brilliant!
Man, that was such an amazing show.
i love how he is enjoying it as much as the crowd
FAITH NO MORE!!!! I hadn't thought about them for years, then bang I found this gem. Nice.
They were amazing!!! so happy i saw it!!
mike is one of the best i have heard in a long time.
i get the chills just by watching it. that's a rock and roll miracle :~

A little stroll down amnesia lane . . .

Unreal!
Christ, can you believe Mike's in his early forties now? He doesn't look a day over thirty. And his voice is better now than it ever was.
Dude's pretty easy to be jealous of, what a bastard.
Hey, their former guitarist Jim Martin played and recorded this song with a Gibson Flying V and it sounded amazing.
damn i loved the old sound. Like all mike patton but my favourite period was that first in fnm :(
I think its a very meaningful song. I think its about when you become focused in meditation.
EXCELENT!

Patton can't sing anymore? Dude that's bullshit, he's always taken the piss out of this song live and always fucks about with the vocals on it. Patton is such a pimp!
FNM is back, better than ever ... the only thing lacking is tour dates in the US : )
Caralhoooooooo!
@CaptainCorpulence Artist is still a profession. Artists, no matter how influential and talented and Mike Patton they are, still need money to live. @vodkafone wasn't there, but seen it live on Sic Radical, COOOOOLLLLL, wish i was there!

that looked fucking insane!
"yisuskraist"!
And THAT'S how every band should start their shows!
@trevorevans12 OMG! I have that VHS somewhere lol.
Saw them live at Brixton aca in the early 90's..

Singer! Mike Patton is the love of my life!! :) Puffy is cute to tho.
@Marcus4president Mike Bordin is, in fact, left-handed, and he still plays a right-handed kit, to my knowledge.

Kick ass track, awesome band, amazing live set, now where is my wank stick?
Good performance, FNM RULE!
Grand as eggs :-)
FUCK YESSSS! \m/\m/
favorite faith no more song the groove in this song is unbelievablely catchy i play this to my gay ass friends who like pop music and they love this song!!

you cant see california without marlon brandos eyes!

Mike patton fucking rocks shame this video isnt louder
Great performance, I watched it live earlier today. One question, does anyone know what (I think) Roddy said about Jim Martin during the concert? Brazil - Rio de Janeiro please!!! (2)
@TheInbornMechanics we can only hope! hahaha
He said 'I nearly turned into jim Martin there' or something to that effect. :)
Hey, does anybody know what they said about Jim Martin during this show? I had some other people in the room talking at the time, but I think Roddy said something about Jim Martin and I was just curious what was said.
What's up with the low keyboard volume? That melody is what the song is all about.
@Brxa of course you would think his voice regressed if you were ONLY comparing it to TRT, but if you've been following/being up to date with the following albums and his other projects, he actually developed a well rounded voice. Other than that i think his vox was a li'l dry at some point, but he did great with the other songs
i think fans of TRT will probably not be hearing the beloved "whiney vocals" patton any time in the future. that is a tragedy!
New CD please??? =)
