They did a great version of Reunited. Mike showing his huge range going from softer to growling and even sounding exactly like Tom Jones for a bit is something to behold
Its insane that I wanted a reunion and a new album for so many years and now its already been 10 years since those things happened. The years just fly by so fast, especially the older you get.
Once was an Ozzfest back in the late 90s. Black Sabbath 'reunion'...minus Bill Ward. Ozzy did a solo set w Bordin on drums. Maybe a 30 minute break and Ozzy, Geezer and Iommi w Mike Bordin on drums. 2 mfn hellacious sets in a row fuggin beast
Ok I have to ask. What voice? His voice sounds nothing like the album. In fact, I've NEVER seen a live performance where he sounded like that original album -- the squeaky bratty voice on The Real Thing... it's like he recorded that record and then said "OK, I'm never ever going to sound like that again."
@@johnmartin60515 I hear what you're saying -- I do. But that voice - the sinister one on that album - it's like he recorded the entire album and then said "yeah not gonna sing like that at all, ever, never again." And I liked that other voice. Artistic progress? Absolutely, nothing wrong with that. Just dumbfounded how an album (vocals) never ever sounded the same live.
@@BeauregardHall. For whatever reason he chose not to sing in that voice again. maybe to distance himself from those days ? He was never comfortable as a “rock star”. Patton is a unique dude. It probably felt affected and gimmicky to him. It wasn’t his “ natural”voice. Real Thing is my favorite Patton era but I respect his whole career, even ( especially?) the parts I don’t fully understand
Sometimes genius needs a throttle to be appreciated. The Beatles made a ton of music and most of it was shit because it was just Paul on fucking speed recording shit while the rest of the band was asleep.
Patton is a good singer but lacks the ability to keep his voice focused He's all over the place live and personally I think it ruins the song Not impressed 😕
one of the greatest vocalists ever
Yep!

Is there anything that this man cannot sing! Fucking genius!

Love Roddys voice
What a voice, what a potence of Mike´s voice. Amazing, all the band

One of the greatest covers of all time, along with. Bruce Springsteen s version of ABBAs Staying Alive.

It’s called artistic progress. Doing what he wants when he wants to.
@@BeauregardHall Still great vocals though

Which concert?
Without Jim Martin?! NO.
Anda a cagar, viudita!!

Jim Martin held Mike Patton back genius. Mike Patton is the best singer on the planet. The man is a genius.

No pun intended, but I agree. At least Mike Borden is there, the highlight for me.
Wow the last 25 years of FNM fandom must have really sucked for you then mate.
You're not wrong.. but damn it still sounds good
Dinner music performed by a metal band.

He's doing that on purpose
