I miss late 80s early 90s I wish music hadn't moved on from there. I don't dislike them but nirvana ruined it for everyone. If it hadn't been for them rock/metal would have carried on like nothing had happened.
Call me weird but I love Mike’s nasal voice phase, especially when performing live. His voice has evolved beyond leaps and bounds but in this stage his voice was really powerful and he had a ton of manic energy and zany humor
Blake they played it like every show during this era/ the angel dust era, but the band had changed so much from this and their performance with this song just wasn't the same... Their final angel dust show in 1993, Billy Gould had said "this is the last time you'll here this song from us" before playing, and they didn't play it again until like 2009
@@jordanwayward4719 too much energy song I forgot the word... too much energy must to play this song I mean. charghin. like blind in korn you know) but im not right.. just- the right time- the right songs. many musicians dont like to play some songs people still love
They don't do it, since 1993 they did It like 3 times, they hate this song but instead of ruining It like Cobain did with smells like teen spirit they Simply don't play it
I bought this album one year after it was released, back in 1991, and I was shocked by both the brutality of its live sound and the special arrangements the members of the band made for the tunes. Faith No More set the standard in the 90s, just for the fact of becoming a band whose lineup was comprised by outstanding musicians who were truly professional. And their distinguished level of professional was the main factor that made them something themselves for a name during the end of the last millennium.
Acapulco Gold Paul as far as I know, Mike doesn't do hard drugs. It's all natural. Besides, he usually nails the pitch, so drugs are out of the question.
Dude... How does he make this voice? Sounds like coming from the bottom of the throat. Some people call it "the nasal voice". I think this is awesome and really miss this style!
Saw them at the Philadelphia spectrum in '89. They opened for Billy Idol. After Mike sang this, we all wanted the rest of the concert be faith no more.
faith no more de regreso a Chile , su pais favorito... donde rompen records y llenan estadios, con su fiel fanaticada... lleguen pronto acá los esperamos!
Great song,Great band, glad to see them back together; can't wait to see them live (I hope I can afford to go to a show when it does happen around here)...FNM Rules!
This was my favorite song for several months when I bought this tape. heh I had this album on tape. Yay me. I remember thinking the first half of the tape was more pop-like, while the second half was truly righteous.
bray12do has the right idea, listen to the song. Brixton was the first overseas tour for FNM before coming back stateside, I saw them in Philly at the Spectrum only three months later.
At a certain point in life this becomes you. If your lucky enough be chosen for soul gladiator school and to live through it you pull the sword from the stone.
The great Bootsy Collins and George Clinton, as well as the members from Fishbone, have all stated that flea is one of the most outstanding players they've seen.
Patton looks positively adorable.
Only Patton can make the word 'equilibrium' work in a song.
9 years later and you made me laugh. Well done!
@@ThePhog 13 tears now and yet have the same feeling ... Kkkk
His voice sounds the same as the record. Awesome!!
It doesn’t
@@RealTuxChuckYou're right. It sounds better!
he's not poser he's vocalist. posers is the legion - ppl like Mike- not so much )
Agreed @@jsanabria
To me, the best live version for this song. Miss the 90's so much...
This is SO 1990 - era. Love it and it takes me back to high school !!
Me too

@@Hayley.a that's such a strange take 😆

Mike Patton belting it out as a young buck. This was their prime.
Great fekkin band..much underrated maybe!!
This was not their prime LMAO

@@joshuafult84 when was it, mid 90s?
My favorite FNM song. I read somewhere they hardly ever play it live. Wonder why, sounds really good

Epic song. No pun intended. Love these guys. Very underrated.
This is not Epic, this is falling to pieces, if you can get it lool
That bass sound!
SICK HOW GOOD THEY ARE!!!!
Hummingbird from mars is such an incredible score, it would have made Strauss himself rethink the dawn of man.
they sounded great live wow!
this song sounds really good live
Lisa de st pern yep. I so missed having a live show in the 90s of them. Way better than the recorded song (no guitar solo!!).
They don't do it, since 1993 they did It like 3 times, they hate this song but instead of ruining It like Cobain did with smells like teen spirit they Simply don't play it
dude! Mike is only 22 here! so awesome.
I saw these guys in 1990 and they're really crazy as F**K in in real life. They had so much energy and Mike never stood still. Such fun back then.
this song equals life.
Billy Gould's bass part makes this song!
He makes that band
The music and melody is pure genius. The lyrics although prepubescent have the spirit to fill a dance club.
Nope, the lyrics describe events and some explenation as to what he experienced in a mild to severe psychosis. But hey, that's just me! ;-)
Almost twenty years and this song still rocks! Take that hip hop!
Here in 2020 re-living my youth 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
The energy of this song rips!!!!!!! What a classic
The guitar sounds so great. We all wonder what would have happened if Jim was allowed to stay. Even in this version with bad audio.
Época inesquecível só tinha música boa música de verdade

Just absolutely amazing. Once again in love.
I've always wondered how Mike could sing pretty good while jumping around like a crazed bunny.
