Should have swapped the goofy kitchen tile for the laundry room tile. That laundry room tile would have looked awesome with the faucet and everything

I feel like the tile will look better once its all complete. The kitchen isn't its own room so I feel like the gold on the tile would look off with the rest of the space.

The simple white tile by the sink would have also been 100x better for the coffee area. Or even the white slotted tile that is in the master bath
That Lilly tile inside the laundry room would looked better in the coffee bar in my opinion. Would have kept the gold and black theme.

I am not a fan of the double post corners. It bugged me enough to go search images to see if that install is standard, and its about 50/50 with a single corner post, vs double like here.
as a professional appliance installer i was cringing at the moving/install of the fridge lmao. as for the dishwasher, it can be side mounted and you dont need to do that, and it will be flush with the counter. how it should be.
Mike F saves some part of the project nearly every episode, so wild.

As a kind suggestion… instead of the black cabinet in the primary bath, we have the glass contractor install staggered floating shelves. It would look clean with glass and black hardware, plus you’d add functional storage space!

That and the install scratches on the posts everywhere mike couldn't find enough scratch free B roll to hide it. Par for the course for this job 95 perfect incredible and fantastic 5 percent (most seen parts sadly) less so...

😮$18k for fridge and freezer, $5/6k sink. Better start selling those cars faster Adam! The amount of money alone in that kitchen.. knowing they’ll never put it to its intended use hurts my soul. Beautiful none the less. Amazing design job.

Those tiles in the coffee area spoil it for me,everything is perfect except those tiles ,should of stuck with the white tiles around the sink
yeah its such a nice space but instead of letting it breathe, that tile INVADES it heavily ... its waay to distracting.

A bigger volume of clear water for example in a swimming pool/bathtub filled with clear water often appears light blue/turquoise if the bottom and sides are white or in a brighter colour, same goes for an ocean with clear water but in that case with a bright sandy bottom, but the deeper the water (open deep ocean with clear water) the more blue instead of turquoise it will look, all of this is due to a phenomenon called Rayleigh scattering.
This occurs when sunlight which is a mixture of all colours of the rainbow or in your case the light enters the water, the light is scattered by the molecules in the water. The colours of light are distinguished by their different wavelengths. The three different types of colour receptors in the retina of the human eye respond most strongly to red, green and blue wavelengths, giving us our colour vision.
The water molecules absorb colours from the sunlight/light, but they absorb more of the longer wavelengths (such as red, orange, and yellow) and scatter the shorter wavelengths (such as blue and green) more effectively.
As a result, the scattered blue and green light is what we predominantly see, giving the water its characteristic blue/turquoise colour and when it's surrender by a bright coloured bottom and sides the blue/turquoise will be seen easier, a bottom and sides also helps to reflect an enclose the sunlight/light better.
But if the volume of water is to little or if it´s in a transparent glass/can/bucket you will not be able to see this phenomenon.
That tile should stop at the top of the cabinet. Above and side of the cabinets should be wall color. The kitchen is just off. Doesn’t look right but let’s see when all finished.

That black tile with the brass trim is actually pretty awesome. The fit and finish of everything all together is quite nice! Can't wait for the walkthrough with the complete house.
Big fan of a RO system at home. Use mine all the time!
The water is probably high in silica which would make the water kinda blue and would raise the ph. If you want clean water the saltwater aquarium people in Florida are the ones to ask. 10-50 for ro drinking water is good. Hopefully the ro membranes they installed auto purge or they are going to get clogged up and lose efficiency. A booster pump would help too if you need to make more then 4 gallons. Fun fact: New York City's tap water averages about 50tds.
Man...Mike reminds me of my dad and uncles. Just knows how to do absolutely everything! Only difference is that he seems to do it a bit more legit, haha. They definitely will save some money and not have exactly the right tools occasionally, but still get the job done. I am pretty handy myself, I like to think...better with cars, but fairly decent at fixing stuff around my house.

They make some very nice brackets that adhere to the bottom of the granite or whatever stone counter you use and you just attach the dishwasher to the brackets. Dishwashers are height adjustable to be able to accomplish either style.
Guys - I HATE unpainted gypsum / drywall.
Surely even just priming the wall behind cabinets and definitely behind the fridge / freezer in future would be better.
As a general contractor I paint everywhere, as believe this inhibits moisture getting into the wall.
But hey - love your work guys.

It's interesting how the Kitchen and Laundry orientation is with American homes
In Australia,
- cooktops are placed against a wall coupled with an rangehood mounted above, also can be standalone oven/cooktop.
- kitchen sink is generally positioned where cooktop is
- our laundry's will almost always have a sink/wet area
- 240v is the standard voltage for all domestic appliances, requiring less electrical circuits. (that switchboard is massive)
Are all homes like this or is this just due to the unique design of this particular build?

I would have definitely put the Lily tile in the kitchen instead of that chrome and I would have made the railing a smoked glass instead of the wires.. but other then that great job as usual..

Kitchen looks good, but not feeling the shiny subway tile nor the cheap looking, metallic back wall.
Instead of making the bottom drawers false doors that are clipped on Blum makes glides that are shorter and would accept a smaller drawer box. The current glides should be 21" and Blum makes glides in 18", 15" and 12". Might be an option instead of losing all of the storage there.

Because you guys did that metal tile past the coffee bar and above the cabinets. It looks incomplete on the other ledge. Might as well tile that ledge to frame out the kitchen. Still not sold on the pattern but might as well give it a complete look.
