Is This A GAME CHANGER For Resin Crafters?
Warning: Important Health and Safety Notice:
Resin is an industrial chemical and as such should always be treated with respect and the manufacturers safety advice taken. Here is a video I have made on how I keep myself safe: • Stop Making Yourself I... - Навчання та стиль
Actually I've been using a simple food dryer/dehydrator for years. The hot air blowing in a confined space raises the resins temperature so it sets within 2 hours. Otherwise at room temperature it can take a day. You don't need a fancy control system.
Thankx a lot; that's good to know because this machine is over $100.00, but it's not available on Amazon anymore.
the hot resin doesn't damage silicon molds ? ( like, we know that using torch near molds are decreasing its life time so I wonder if hotter resin does the same? )
@@liliscreations5573 I don't know but I suspect the temperatures involved are too low for that. Around the 50 degree Celsius mark. Food dryers work by low heat over a long time. If you use a large volume of resin then its own exothermic reaction may self heat the mix to very high temperatures but small pieces won't do that.
@@RobertA-hq3vz ok thanks !! It'll save my day, I'll try the dehydrator then !
Some toaster ovens have a keep warm feature and it works well for this too.
I just got mine a few days ago. I CAN'T BELIEVE HOW GOOD THIS PRODUCT IS. First...it's nearly as simple as "plug 'n play". Just plug it in, push one button and 2 hours later you have your completed project. I used to have to wait 24+ hours depending. Second...the results are better than expected. My resin comes out perfect each time. It's like a miracle. Each project is properly cured and no problems with clarity, color, or hardness when done. Now, if I want to experiment I only have to wait a couple of hours instead of a day or more to find my mistakes or successes. This is truly a game changer. I has made my "resin hobby" 10 times more fun. THANKS, Steve.
This is good to know. The time during is why I use UV resin most of the time, but it isn't economical for anything bigger than jewelry.
Like others I also thought this looked like a food dehydrator. I wonder if a dehydrator would do the same thing? Interesting. It certainly is a game changer. Thank you.
ooh..im so going to try my dehydrator
@@odettepross2435 don't use it for food after if you do
@@odettepross2435 please report back when you do if you can, I'd love to know. Curious if more trays would make a difference. You could certainly do a lot more molds.
@@odettepross2435 Yes, please report back if you can, I'd love to know how it turns out. I use uv resin because it cures so quickly, but I'm very interested in trying these two part resins.
Yes. Please let us know.
WOW!! That is finer than a frog hair!!!! I love it!!!!
"And it comes with clear instructions" he declares as he takes it out of the box without opening them to see. It was at that point within the first minute I knew this was an advertorial on the machine, however I watched all the way through, you sold it well and seemed genuinely excited. It's great to sell a product you believe in.
Dude eventually you’ll start to realize that everything is an ad… Spot on for catching that I bet half the audience didn’t
Also aren’t you supposed to declare right at the beginning if this is an ad or you’re sponsored? 🧐💩🤦🏻♀️
@@kateapple1 Yes, I think so. He does say they sent it him free for testing so is saying payment was received.
Haha that's exactly what I thought 😂
I bought one. The instructions are very clear. It suggests you use molds less than a 1/2 inch thick. It also has settings to customize it for more intermediate to professional users. The plug and push to start works great for me. This is an amazing little machine. I just hope it has a long life. That is the only thing that will be the deal breaker for me. 😊
I wanted to say I bought one of these (I live in the US) and it is truly amazing! More money than I really needed to spend but it is definitely all that and a bag of cookies! Thank you for you video. I would have possibly never known about it otherwise.
Last night was my first 2 trial uses. I'm hooked!
@@SteveMcDonaldArtsandCrafts I definitely do like it. It has been used multiple times since I got it. 🙂
I just starting resin crafting, and I thought gee it takes quite a bit of time to actually cure. Thank goodness for these machines, and thank you for the video
I stumbled across a low cost alternative to dehydrators and this machine. It's really cold in my house right now so I got a heat mat off Amazon for like AU$10 and put a food storage container over the top. with experimentation, I've found that cranking it up to about 50 degrees (c) cures the resin in about a quarter the time. not as fast as a dehydrator but still much faster than standard curing.
I love anything that sparkles ✨️
My husband brought this for my birthday,I have been a bit nervous using this but now I have seen this video I am excited to use it
this is gunna be a big game changer! I have my own resin business but the room i have turns into a little ice box over night so me resin never cures XD thank you!!
I saw this thing marketed as a food dehydrator a year or two ago. It was about half the price. I actually bought a food dehydrator in 2013 to use just for resin. My pieces cured leaving them in it for about half hour, and turning it off and letting them sit for another 20 mins to a half hour inside. You just have to make sure you don't leave them too long because they will yellow quickly.
My thoughts exactly, using a food de-hydrator which we already have and to deal with over curing I will put a timer at the plug. Thanks for the info.
Good idea because that's what that machine looks like and its probably cheaper then this gadget
Nice! My husband just told me to tell you, Thank You for sharing this information because, you just saved him a bunch of Mooo-la! Can you expound a bit on how to use the food hydrator? I got one as a gift a few years ago and never used it. How long do you leave it in for? Is there a setting? Does it matter how much is in the machine?
I have a few dehydrators that I use for flowers I never thought of this! Would you mind sharing the details? As far as temp and such that is :)
@@mayasveil6619 haha! It's always helpful to save money. Tell him 'you're welcome' for me. I don't mean to mess up Steve's sales though, I mean no disrespect to him. Maybe he can find a dehydrator on Amazon to share instead?
Anyway, mine was just the basic, cheapest one I could find at the time. Think I got it at target. It's round and has like 5 trays. It only has one setting, off and on, no temp control. If I could do it again, I would make sure I bought one with trays that are level, because the one I have, they slope slightly downward toward the middle, which made it a challenge for leveling my molds/resin. As stated above, I left them in for about 30 mins and then turned off. It would stay hot for a while before all the heat dissipated, but even at 30 mins, it was already pretty solid. I am guessing it would depend on the size of item you're making and how much resin is being cured, but I usually made Jewelry size pieces so not very big. My machine was $30 at the time. I am considering looking to get another but I was also trying to figure out if there was some way I can use a large, clear plastic storage container, cut a hole in the top, use some kind of level shelving inside, and set the heating element, which is the top part of my dehydrator inside the hole but resting on the top of the container and use that. It produces quite a bit of heat, so I recommend leaving it outside, or in an area you won't be in, because it may not be a good idea to breathe it in. I used to leave it in my garage. I no longer have a garage but I also haven't used it in a while, but I would probably leave it out on my patio.
I also recommend paying attention to the size of the space in-between racks, in case you plan to make larger pieces. Some have narrower racks. Also, a square or rectangle shape would be best for fitting as much as possible inside.
*Edited to add:
I also recommend getting something with clear shelves so you can check on your pieces without taking it apart. Drawer like shelves that pull in and out are even better, because you don't have to take apart other levels to get to the lower levels.
Hope this is helpful.
My wife just bought me one. I received it yesterday and can't wait to use it
It's a game changer for me for certain! I am primarily a UV resin fan, I don't have patience for waiting 24 hours usually🤣🤣🤣. My birthday is next week and if hubby paid attention, that's what I am getting💞🤣
I got mine today! One day faster than was expected!! I am tooo excited to try it. 😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃
Wow, what a machine. It sure will help people get projects done quicker. Thanks for the video 😊😊😊
I hope a follow-up will be made after a couple of years. I've been reading how there's a trend of some (not all) fast-curing resins turning yellow more quickly. This product has me excited. I just don't want to get disappointed later by it altering expensive, good quality resin in a bad way.
Thanks Steve for sharing the video, we are glad that our products can really help resin makers, and we will continue to optimize and develop more products for resin makers.❤️
Please let all of us here in terms Uk when it will be over here, also will the life point be roughly the same as USA. Please let me know if their is any way I can do a pre order. Hugs x Ann
Price point not life
@@craftylittlerthings Thank you for liking our product, it will be available in the UK at the end of April, so maybe you can look forward to it!
@@Resinersofficial I’m looking forward already!!! I’m disabled so can’t get out and about much, plus I want to start making my videos again, and this will help me so much with doing hopefully daily videos! I’ll have to check Amazon every day, or is their another place I can check? Are you on Facebook? Or have a web address, I’ll go look at your page on here. It’s 5am in U.K. I can’t sleep much so need lots to do to fill the hours. Thank you so much for answering me
Hugs x Ann x
@@craftylittlerthings Our products will be promoted at a discounted price in the UK, so don't worry about it being more expensive than in the US. On the shelves will also be the first time to notify you, or you can follow our official youtube account to get the latest news, look forward to you to use our products to make more and more beautiful drip art!
I love ❤️ this!! It is so time consuming to pour, wait 12 hours, pour..repeat. I make feather trays, key chains and phone grips..now I can add new molds and designs to my inventory. Thanks, Steve for this!
I want this now, am going to try to talk hubby into allowing me to get this, because this would help with the commissions I am going to be getting into shortly. Also as you said, for craft shows and other things where I will need them in more than one or two items per day and then staying up all night for 3 or 4 days so when you do the show you are exhausted and not in the mood to bring people into your booth. This is a HUGE gamechanger!
JUST GOT MY MACHINE 😁😁😁😁😁...I had been thinking 🤔 about getting it, but was unsure about therefore was holding off buying it....after watching your review...I BOUGHT IT 🤣🤣😁😁😁😁😁
I got one for mother's day...I'm testing it right now...I am so excited for this to speed up my production 😁
MY NEXT BIG ITEM PURCHASE!!! What a wonderful piece of equipment!!!
Always stay safe and stay crafty!! 👍👍🔔🔔🦋🦋
Very nice and a wonderful idea, because I am an impatient resiner!🥳🥳🥳🤣🤣🤣
Reminds me of a food dehydrator. What a great idea.
@@SteveMcDonaldArtsandCrafts it IS a dehydrator. Others have the exact same machine sold as such.
I am absolutely amazed that this machine can cure resin in 2 hours!! Thank you so much for doing this video! I had never even heard of this product or any other product like this until a few days ago and now I really want to get one lol.
Oh my gosh! I’m speechless! I can’t wait for this to arrive over here. Like you said, total game changer 💗 thank you Steve!!
Finally!! This will help feed my demoulding addiction lol
I watched your video and was impressed with the machine. Then I decided to rummy own experiment with a food dehydrator and it works and gives you more room.
Wow!! This would be awesome!!
That’s amazing!!!
Looks bloody marvellous!
That is brilliant!
I love this! The curing time on resin has been a major factor in why I don't make more pieces. This will honestly make me expand more into the world of resin. Thank you for sharing.
This is fantastic. Can't wait for a UK link 😁
Whoa - this is fantastic! Thank you so much for sharing this awesome new "game changer" with us! Cheers!
I'm excited to invest in this! This will help me make more coasters and trays in a short amount of time ❤ Thanks for sharing!
That's awesome Steve. What a handy device and. It's small too considering how much stuff it can cure at once. It reminds me of an old bakelite radio! I think you're right Steve, lots of resiners are gonna want one of these!
So exciting!
I would like tonsee it with flowers or other items in the resin
Great video and very informative! I just ordered this the other day and am currently waiting for it to arrive.

Hey Steve, thank you so much for this video. It looks like something I would be interested in investing in one of them some time next fall/winter. I'm going to give Jesmonite a try this month and I will see how they go over this festival season. Thank you for your honest review. It helps all of us to make the best informed decisions!

Thank you so much for sharing I just ordered mine and should have it by April 4 I'm so excited to save so much time on my orders!!!!!
Wow! Wow! Wow!
What an amazing machine! 🤯
I really love this. Right now, if I'm trying out some new thing I have to wait 24 hours to see if it worked or not. Either way I have learned how to do my art better, but it sure takes a lot of time...and sometimes a lot of anxiety. My wife is pushing me to get this machine. I think this is EXACTLY what I need to do my work better. Thank you so much for your demo. Now, we need the follow-up video, please.
This is a great idea!!
So, Steve, it looks like a lot of people think this looks like a food dehydrator. Would you consider doing a test on your channel of curing resin in a food dehydrator?
@@SteveMcDonaldArtsandCrafts Hey Steve, thank you for the reply.
@@SteveMcDonaldArtsandCrafts Hi Steve! I'm new to your channel, and to resin. Thank you so much for all of the informative videos! They've been really helpful! I have been especially getting a lot of use out of the method of using packing tape to clean up my molds.
I'm curious how the pieces you've cured in this machine are doing now that it's been about a month since this video was posted. Are they indeed good and solid still without being brittle? From this review, this tool is definitely worth the money in the short term, and I'd love any data you can offer now that more time has passed : )
Thanks again! Cheers from the Midwestern US!
I saw this on Amazon and I was on the fence. Then I saw your video and I ordered it immediately! This machine is awesome!!!
This is like my dehydrator I use for my resin.
Awesome video. Steve, I really appreciate your review on this machine. ❤
What an amazing machine!
After seeing this I ordered one, and it for here today. It works beautifully even on the rather thick bread mold I used.
Wonderful thank you
Wow🤯 That was pretty impressive. I agree cutting down on cure time like that is a real game changer. Thanks for the review!
I just ordered one, thanks for the discount code!
Thank you Steve. Used your discount code and ordered one.
Thank you, thank you, thank you. Great idea.
That looks amazing.
I like that machine, I'm putting on my wishlist. Thanks Steve
Very Cool!
Very cool!!
Wow that's amazing results.you got a lot of pieces done in a short time .I need one
This looks like a nice item to use when you need to get things done more quickly. The one thing that could make this a little better is if it could take out the bubbles. I do mostly small items for now. I may do more as I progress. This reminds me of a food hydrater.
That is very nice. Thanks Steve for showing us this produce.
I already have this on my Amazon wish list and when I get paid I'm buying it because it's awesome.
Love this total game changer, cannot wait for it to come to the UK
Amazing!
I cannot wait, I ordered mine just after I watched this.I’m so excited
