You are a gold medal winner. As a person suffering from PTSD, anxiety and depression for 50 years I know how hard it is to find a reason to get out of bed every day, you've not only found a way to help yourself through it, you've helped thousands of your viewers find something to brighten our days as well. Thanks for your wonderful videos and I use your links whenever I can.
    Keep up the terrific work!

Steve those people don’t lose sleep by being mean, neither should you. If 98% of your comments are positive then you are doing GREAT.
    Have a beautiful day ♥️

I stumbled upon your channel when I was wanting to learn how to work with resin. I continued watching your channel because 1. You seem to know what you're doing 2. Your accent is delightful 3. You're a very good teacher
So screw the haters, I think you're lovely.

    Hi Steve
Firstly I would like to thank you for helping me through long term sickness, you gave me a reason to get up and have a go at something new. I have always been a confident person but losing a business, house and being ill I was out of confidence. But now I'm doing resin work and starting to smile again 😁
The only thing I have to say to you is THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP AND SUPPORT. It has helped me so much. Can you do me one favour and stop making your you tube videos so enjoyable as I get so involved in them that before I realise hours have gone by and its 4am 😂. Seriously please don't let ignorance and arrogance of people who can only be happy making someone else unhappy and questioning what they are doing.
You are a wonderful person and great artist.
    Regards
    Jane

This is the first comment I've left for you and I wanted to say this is probably one of your best videos. I'm a fine artist and a crafter. After art school many years ago, I didn't do any art of any kind because of negative messages left in my brain and soul. Finally, after 22 years I went back and that is now 12 years ago. I've done things with my art/crafts that I never would have thought I could have achieved so, I really understand how negativity can effect us. I truly enjoy all your videos and you. I'm studying therapeutic art coaching so I can share how art/craft can be such a wonderful too for stress, depression and anxiety. To learn this and share with others is a gift. Please stay with UA-cam and continue to be the best you can be at what you enjoy. Having the best life you can is the best way to negate the negative people. And you are so correct when you said they are the one's with the problem. I took may years for me to get that message, but it sure feels better once we understand that. You're very informative, funny and delightful. I wish you so my success at what you do and I hope when you ready this is feels you with confidence and joy.

Dearest Steve, I just want to go on record to say that I love you, and your videos are brilliant! You have so much talent, and you always make me smile. I find your mistakes uplifting because we all make mistakes, and you always are so upbeat about errors. I have learned so much from watching you; you’re a wonderful teacher. All the positive comments you get are proof that the trolls are wrong! Some people get off on being rude. The trolls are probably crafters who are jealous of your success. Please keep posting what you make. Crafting and sewing are keeping me sane as I deal with neurological issues. I look forward to your videos and your cheerful demeanor. I’m so sorry you had to go through this, but love you more for getting through it and sharing with us. Cheers!

I just watched your video and I am glad you were able to vent and get the pain off your shoulders. I have learned from my husband, who works in IT, that people get Paid to troll all sorts of websites including mostly UA-cam. That is a shame. You are doing the right thing by blocking them from leaving comments. My advice is to take one day a week, month or every other month and become a surgeon on that day. Cut out the cancerous pieces and makes sure your patient, your web site, is back to being healthy again. I think this way because I am an artist and a have been battling breast cancer for three and a half years. This is how I get rid of the stress and troubling thoughts that I deal with one a daily basis. Do your seminars, continue your UA-cam videos and tell yourself you are doing a good thing for many people. Think of your crafting as thearapy as well as a job. Keep a positive attitude. My mantra is A positive attitude leads to positive results. I don't mind sharing that with you and your followers. Just keep doing what you are doing. Your are making a difference in peoples lives. That is a wonderful thing. We all need someone like that in our lives. Be proud you are one of those people. I hope this helps. Have an incredible day.

Do you know what Steve? I'm a 66 year old Australian woman who recently got interested in watching craft videos because they make me happy. I watched one that made a lovely lamp with Resin and I was really impressed, then I found your channel. Well, you are always happy and chirpy which brings up my own mood and it is because of your encouragement, and your way of showing us how to cut corners, save resin, do things a bit differently for the same results and so on that I have decided to start doing my own resin work just as soon as I can get everything together. The trolls who leave you hurtful comments are only doing so because they are not talented like you, and they don't have the guts to go spend a bit of money and make beautiful things for their own pleasure or for someone else's pleasure. Another crafter worth their salt would never put anyone down for showing how they do things, because there is always something to be learned from others, even if it is the happy way you present your programmes. I for one, appreciate you immensely and signed up after I saw the first video by you. Thank you for continuing to be YOU, because you are talented and special. You remember that, dear one. What others think of you doesn't matter. What you think of yourself is the most important. Love and Light to you Steve, and thanks a bunch. 😃💐❤

As our pastor has said so many times, "Offense is an occurrence, offended is a choice." That choice subdivides into two others: the choice to succumb and the choice to overcome. You are brilliant in taking this opportunity to see this for what it is and to so eloquently (and without spitefulness) respond in kindness and overcome the negative! Hurt people hurt and healed people heal. "The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit." - Prov 18:21. You are being a great conduit for speaking healing in a world of people that are hurting and may you continue to look forward (and not looking backwards because you're not going that way!) Peace be with you and Continue to Be Blessed By Being A Blessing To Someone Today 🙏

I'm grateful that you didn't quit UA-cam. I've been playing and practicing with resin for that last couple of months, trying to decide whether I'm good enough or not to attempt starting up a small business and selling things. I stumbled across your channel as I was watching tutorials.
Sure, your videos aren't "pretty" or aesthetic. You don't have flowy music in the background. You're not always showing an end product that looks fresh off the shelf of some high-end boutique.
But that's what I like about your videos. They feel real. And unlike a lot of other channels I've seen, you take the time to explain things that others seem to think is common knowledge. People forget that beginners know nothing.
In the last week along, you've helped me not drop hundreds of dollars on ArtResin (from your video on yellowing) and convinced me not to use alcohol inks in anything I plan to sell (from your video with the coasters). I know why not to use a blowtorch on silicone moulds, to avoid using alcohol on them, to clean them immediately after use with a baby wipe instead of letting the resin set and pulling it out.
You taught me all of this, and I've only seen a small handful of your videos. I can't imagine the sort of things I'm going to be learning from you the more I watch.
So thank you for the work you're doing. It's EXTREMELY helpful.

I think you have a wonderful approach to your demonstrating style.
You do everything step by step and never overcomplicate instructions.
I suffer from persistent depressive disorder, anxiety, and several other none life threatening conditions, which cause constant pain.
I get so engrossed in watching your tutorial videos and enjoy them so much that the dopamine rush helps immensely with my perception of pain.

Just wanted to say a massive “THANK YOU” for all the hard work you do and for sharing your knowledge & skills with us. You really helped me get out of a rut I was in after retiring due to ill health. I look forward to watching your cheery videos & can’t believe the amount of people whose life goal seems to be to make people feel as bad as possible with nasty comments. Like you said, they are the ones with the problem not you. I’m hoping to buy you more coffees whenever I’m able and think it’s a great way to show our appreciation for everything you do. Keep on squidgy widgying 🥰

Even when certain creations aren't to my taste, I still enjoy watching and sharing in your delight of creating things. I'm very sorry to hear that people can be such a-holes to such a positive person as yourself. I'm so glad that you're not going to let the negative people win. Sending love from Australia.

@4:48 I’ve been hearing lately a lot of creators being attacked with these types of messages. Art and creativity is healing and thus you must be doing something right if these demons are attacking you. Don’t be down because of them, keep on creating and bringing light to everyone. If someone doesn’t like your content, they can simply change the channel. No need to be so mean spirited.

Hello. I do not know English (I am writing with a translator). I watch a lot of videos in English, but very rarely turn on subtitles with translation (usually I understand everything just from the picture without audio). BUT, you are one of the few people I always watch with translation. I watch, listen and translate your videos because of you. YOU - that's what is most important and valuable in your videos. You are a very positive and interesting person! You are interesting and valuable in that you tell a lot in detail, show what problems may arise, and experiment. And most importantly - it's your positive and humor.

The one thing that has kept me going and given me a reason to get up in the morning is crafting, and you are one of my most favourite guys to watch. You make me smile and laugh and I love your videos, you seem like such a kindred spirit in many ways.

Shame on those rude people attacking such a lovely person! Thank you, Steve, for opening up about this. I'm a very sensitive person, and have had issues with depression, as well. Those awful comments would have really bothered me, too. However, my wife reminded me that the people that did that most likely felt bad about themselves, and those comments stemmed from THEIR issues, which you already know. I adore both your personality and work!

I love crafting, and I, too, suffer from Severe Depressive Disorder, as well as other things. 🙄 I discovered resin work, and in educating mysElf, I found you, Dr. Steve. By far, you are the easiest to understand, the most informative, and the most pleasant. I so wish I could invite you over, not only for your help with my crafting and my "resin lab," but because of your persona. You are clearly genuine. Guilty, I've not bought you a coffee, but if you were to stop by, I would happily make you one. (Sorry, my finances are lower than my bills.) Should that change, I will happily ship you a coffee across the puddle, from Maine, to you. You've certainly brought me a ton of information and entertainment. Take care, and hopefully ppl get the message to give useful comments, or zip it shut. 😂 Tons of Love.❤

Much love to you Steve!! I hope you will always find strength in the beauty of the flowers you helped seed with your videos. Lots of tubers share their mistakes during a process and I find those the most helpful. Trollers are just another version of playground bullies. You quit, they win. But, just what is their prize? Another sack of bad karma.
You put your heart into your work and it is not lost on those of us who see you as a person. Depression is usually a terrible companion with being a person who feels the world much deeper than the average Joe. We see everything in richer colors and feel pain in darker places.
May your blessings grow as you faithfully craft on...

Hi Steven, I'm a designer and I'm in several books with quilts and pillows etc.... The book is Magic Patch.
I am a perfectionist and always looking for new things to learn.
I am Belgian and have been giving free quilting lessons on youtube since corona.
I understand you like no other about the cost of the material.
I can never get a large number of subscribers because I do it in the common everyday language and not in a world language.
I now want to learn how to work with UV resin and because of my cancer I have to use the nontoxic. I have already seen many lessons until I came to you. I watch a lot of your videos and want to continue to do so.
Quitting is not an option for you despite what anyone writes!
You are a creator at heart and don't throw that talent away for some dirty jealous people.
What I think is so important about your films is that you are not afraid to show failures and that helps us viewers in the costs. Thanks to you we know what we shouldn't do and that's quite a lot.
From a recognized designer to a creative like you I say JUST DO YOUR THING BECAUSE YOU ARE SUPER GOOD AT IT!
