A2212 Brushless Motor Thrust Test

In this video we test the A2212 2200KV brushless motor thrust with 2S and 4S battery. The values could be useful to approximately calculate how much thrust will be generated in one motor while building a plane or a drone.

Nice, but knowing the current for each test would be very helpful data. Thrust to power (N/kW) is a good figure for comparison, but the amps were only given for the first test.
If we assume the max current of the battery is being used (the only figure available), theust-to-power efficiency seems to fall off a cliff as the voltages increase!

My plane total weight is 930gm with all components.i fit a motor 2212 1400kv with 10inch prop.but i doubt my motor will damege so i need ur help..

Use can use 2212 1000kv with 1045 propeller

Don't use 9 inch or 10 inch propeller on A2212 1400kv motor. It will damage the esc and motor. I tried 9 inch propeller on 1400kv motor. Both motor and Esc damaged. 8 inch propeller is ideal for 1400kv motor

Your concern is correct, ideal prop Dia. should be 6” for 2200kv motor, exceeding might result in overload damage

@@kshitijmehta83 I just smoked a 2212 1400kv on a 4s with a 8*4 prop. These motors are not rated for 4s and will not last long but will run in short bursts.

@@informative_walrus oh, could be due to 4s battery, with increasing battery size we also need to size down props as well, else motor will draw excessive current than its recommended for
