Your efficiency has units "gm/Wats," but I don use that as efficiency, I call it "trust/power". To measure the efficiency, I compare the "Mechanical power/Electrical power" To measure the Mechanical power, I measured the wind velocity of the propeller in m/s and multiply by the Trust in Newton, so my efficiency doesn't have units. I only compare the electrical motors with the power that they could produce.
Thankyou so much sir for your valuable comments and you are definitely right about the efficiency formula. But In my case i generally use the data which are easily available in the market. Mostly motors and EDF company has labelled thrust to power ratio as efficiency in their specifications chart. So i also took this data so that people can easily compare my EDF with the market one. Theoretically you are correct but I write to make it easier for my viewers. Hope you understand sir. And thankyou for watching it and pls don't forget to subscribe 😊😊😊😊
@@MechNinja I am already subscribed to your Channel since this video. I saw your chapters on ducted fans, and I was happy that you started again. I check a lot of motors and propellers because now I live in Ecuador at 2300 m above sea level ... I can use 2205 2300 KV with a 7-inch propeller... I am trying to understand which data is clearer to write a research paper on that subject... and it is horrible; I started to find a lot of data, but what is essential or not. So your tests are very exemplary to me.
Bro check my previous videos...I have used a smaller propeller with high Kv, here the recommended propeller was 10 inch so I have used it. Thankyou for your suggestion.....and thankyou for watching and don't forget to subscribe 😊😊😊
How out of balance are the blades after removing the support? What about a 5 bladed fan? Won't you need a few ducts in the nose cap to let air get to the cooling ports?
Yes sir they were out of balance a little because the connector provide by the company were actually friction fit. If they have provided us with screw connectors and hence the distance between the propeller and the motor will be short and there will be little to no vibration. I have to made a 5 blade fan.... Infact i have tested it with an 11 blade fan. You can check my latest videos. it's in there... Since I am using a propeller hence there is lots of space to enter the cooling ports. Hope i have answered all your questions. So thankyou for watching and don't forget to subscribe 😊😊😊😊
@MechNinja ok bro please please can you tell me when I make thrust test to motor and the result for example is 1000 gram it's mean this motor can thrust 1000 gram and thrust plane weight 900-950 grams right?
Great comparison, great video ✨️, so asking for suggestion could these dys motors be used on a quad copter whose weight should not exceed 2 kg, and has abilities to drop payload of 200 gm, making minor project so need some suggestions, also it is autonomous system, so should this could be used on the quad, flying time is atleast 20 min, also is there any specific size of motor that should be used on quad like is 2215 onlu used, as thi 30 series is heavy weight, give suggestions bro.
Well you can go with this dys motors....infact these are efficient too. It has a good thrust...even you can make a drone of up to 4000 gm. The point is time of flight. For exact time of flight use the charts which I have provided you in the video.. Then you can calculate it. And thankyou for watching the video and don't forget to subscribe 😊😊😊😊
Bro. Dys motor shaft mm how much? 3.17 or 3 mm. Is there any difference between 3.17 mm and 3 mm. Bcz i want to buy a deill check for this motor. But in drill chuck size is 3:17 mm. Can i fix that on 3 mm dys motor!
Bro to be honest, You can go to any local lathe shop and they can design a coupler for you in less than 100 Rs. If there is any difference in dia then there will be lots of vibrations
Your 220g to lift the arm is not accurate for the second motor, which is smaller and lighter decreasing the weight of the arm, I'm guessing that 190g is probably the correct value for that considering the motor weight (that will change slightly depending on the angle of the arm)
Don't worry brother....😅😅 I have already uploaded it...but not released yet....... I will be available in this week.....😊😊😊 Thankyou for watching the videos
should i use this motor in my battle bot? actually i am finding high toque motor with high rpm the stall torque should be like 3-4kg-cm nd stall rpm should be like 3000rpm.for power i'm using 12v 20amp battery{it could be increased}.i want 2 motors to rotate drum{wepon} weighted aproximate 200gm with the help of pully mechanism.
I am not sure about the torque but the rpm is very high i.e. kV*volts of the battery. These motor can go upto 15000rpm And since you will be using pulley , so there will be more chances of slipping at this much rpm. Generally In my college days I too used a high rpm DC motor. If you have money then you can try both of them....
@@MechNinja money is the whole reason why I don't want fully fail experiment.did have any motor any mind or any friend of yours who know abt this it would be great help!😊
Actually I don't think so...because I think the minimum ESC required is of 50 amps... I am not sure...but I have shared the chart in the video....you can watch it from there
Ok then you can go for it....but please check it charts also for recommendations..... Because currently i have used wattmeter to check it..but since you won't be using it
please note that the motor is rated for ~12A use, if the motor is consuming more than that for anymore than few seconds, it'll probably melt it's inside plastics

@@MechNinja thanks a lot bro, just one more doubt does the weight of the motor effects the performance?
