      High thrust and high speed cannot be in the same engine. Low KV engines provide high thrust. And low KV motors are more efficient. High KV motors provide high speed but have low thrust values. And their efficiency is low. But they may necessarily be the right option for some aircraft models. Generally speaking, 1400KV motor may be the right choice as the meeting point. Good thrust, reasonable speed. But issues such as the design and weight of the aircraft are also effective. This should not be forgotten.

      No, it's not that simple. Low KV motors turn much larger propellers. High torque is achieved with the large propeller. In addition, the aerodynamic structure of the aircraft also affects the KV selection and may change the result. There are different variables that affect the outcome.@@CodesExplorer-hb1wr

    Basically high KV produces more RPM and less torque for 'x' amount of AMP. which is suitable for less inch prop. where as low KV motor produces high torque and less RPM with same amount of 'x' AMP suitable for big sized and high pitched props.

    Giusto...si a parità di Potenza sviluppata , un motore che fa pochi giri va bene per un aereo lento con basso carico alare , un motore intermedio va bene per un ala bassa ed infine un motore che fa molti giri si adatta ad un modello veloce che abbia una buona penetrazione aerodinamica.

      Can I use 20A ESC for a 1000Kv motor?

    The 2200kv can run a 6x4 APC prop, needing more amps but will do r.a. 800gr to 850gr of static thrust, used it in a lot mid mount pusher configs where the prop space is limiteted, 7x3 is also a nice working option ;)

    This is my rule of thumb:
    900 to 1100 grams, 1000kv, 9x5 to 10x5
    700 to 900 grams, 1400kv, 7x4 to 8x4
    300 to 700 grams, 2200, 6x4

    I loved your design and am trying to replicate this myself for fun. I purchased the 3d files but cannot find the 4 tall cylinder structures that connect to the base that elevate the motor. it would be great if I could purchase that 3d model also.

      Bu dronun tarzına ve büyüklüğüne bağlı. 45cm lik klasik dronelar için 1000KV olan uygundur. 1400KV da kullanılabilir.

    For your Twin engine RC plane you made 4 years ago, are there any configurations you might use with battery size, kv, or propeller size? Could it work if I also just used 1 engine on the nose with bigger prop and lower kv? I tried making it but it was very heavy and I kept maxing out my 2200kv motors.

      It doesn't matter where you use it. 5x4 propeller is only suitable for 2200KV motor.

      10 inch propeller is definitely not suitable for 1400KV. It causes the motor to overheat and draw excessive current.

      None. These engines are for model airplanes. The ideal engines for boats are water-cooled engines. You can use these, but they are not ideal. High temperatures become a problem.

    How is the speed calculated like I saw 1000KV and 12.6V so it should be 12600 RPM know??

      No way. KV value is the RPM information for each volt. This is true. BUT only when operating at no load (without Propeller). It is not possible to reach those speeds with a propeller. As the propeller grows, the speed (RPM) decreases.

      Giriş seviyesi dronlar için genellikle 1000 veya 1400KV kullanılır. Genellikle 2212 1000KV motor ve 1045 veya 1047 (10x4.5 veya 10x4.7) pervane ile 45cm lik drone gövdesi kullanmak başlangıç için tercih edilir. Ama amaç yarış dronu yapmaksa zaten 2212 doğru motor olmaz.

      20-25 cm için küçük pervane kullanmak zorundasınız. Çünkü büyük pervane için motorlar arasında yeterli mesafe olmayacak. Bu durumda tek seçenek 2200KV olandır. 2200KV yı 6x4 pervane ile kullanabilirsiniz. @@demircandemir4541

    Sorry bro, but the tests look weird a little cz I have tons like those motors. The 1000kv on a fully charged battery with 1045 prop won't go more than 850 grams , the 1400kv prop should not exceed 8040 with a thrust of 580 grams, and the 2200kv can hold a 6045 blade with a thrust of 680 grams. What is your opinion?

      The tests are accurate. These are real-time measured values. But as the operating time increases, some thrust force decreases. This is also normal.
      Apart from the video, I also obtained similar values in the tests I made with different scales. Tested with 2212 2200KV 6030 propeller. Not 6045.

    На моторе 1400kv винт должен быть не более чем 80x40. Винт размером 90x50 большой для него, поэтому потребляет много энергии.

      No, in that case it would be a very wrong test. These are motors with very different KV values. As I showed in the video, each motor should be tested with propellers suitable for its KV value.     I am making a RC plane that weights around 1.5 kg . It's an AC 130 model.
    Around 80 CM wingspan and 70 cm in lenght.
    Do you think 4 of those 1000 KV engines can fly it?
    Please help man I need a professional opinion from a lad like you.

      Two 2212 1000KV motors are sufficient to fly a model weighing 1.5kg. But wing, fuselage lengths and airfoil are also important. 4 engines will give good performance in all conditions.

      Flight duration is not determined only by the current drawn by the motor. Factors such as the aerodynamic structure of the aircraft, its weight, weather conditions, etc. affect the duration. Therefore, a clear answer cannot be given to this question.

    Вы не учли что испытали мотор на взлётном режиме, а это не более 1-2 минут полёта, потом надо снижать тягу до 70%. в целом 2212 1400kV с винтом 6х4 и регулятором 30А будет самым дешёвым и универсальным вариантом для моделей из подложки для ламината (листовой пенопласт) и скотча весом до 800г. Тогда можно будет летать 5-15 минут в зависимости от модели и ветра и стиля полёта. На большие модели надо будет или 2 таких мотора с 3х лопастными винтами 7035х3 или уже большие моторы.

      Eğer 1800KV motorun 2212 ise 30A normal de yeterlidir. Eğer bağlantılarında bir hata yoksa ve motorun sağlıklı ise muhtemelen yanlış pervane ölçüsü kullanıyor olabilirsin. Pervane ölçüsü çok önemlidir. Motorun teknik özelliklerine uygun olmalıdır. Çok büyük veya çok küçük pervane motorun aşırı akım çekmesine ve dolayısıyla ESC nin yanmasına sebep olabilir. Pervanenin ölçüleri nedir?

      ESC aşağıdaki sebeplerden yanar.
      1- Motor, ESC nin kapasitesinin üzerinde akım çekerse ve/veya ESC nin voltaj kapasitesinin üzerinde pil bağlanırsa.
      2- Motor bağlantılarının kısa devre yapması
      3- Pil girişinin ters bağlanması (Ters kutup)
      - Motorun bobinlerinde bir sorun varsa veya içine bir şey kaçıp sıkıştırmış ise aşırı akım çeker ve ESC nin yanmasına sebep olur.
      - Çok yapılan hatalardan bir tanesi de motoru sabitlemek için kullanılan vidaların uzun olması ve motorun bobinine değmesi. Bu motoru sıkıştırır. Bu durumda ya motor bozulur ya ESC yanar.
      - Yine yapılan hatalardan bir tanesi ise yanlış ölçüde pervane kullanmaktır. Motor için uygun ölçülerin çok dışına çıkıldığında yani çok küçük veya çok büyük pervane motorun fazla akım çekmesine sebep olur. Bu durumda çekilen akım (Amper) ESC nin kapasitesinin üzerine çıkarsa ESC yanar.
      Sonuç olarak bir ESC doğru bağlantılara sahipse ve teknik sınırları içerisinde kullanılıyorsa sebepsiz yere yanmaz. Yukardaki sebepler veya benzeri durumlar ESC lerin kaçınılmaz olarak yanmasına sebep olur.
      ESC nizin teknik sınırlarından emin olmalısınız. Bağladığınız motorun rahat döndüğünden (Elinizle çevirip bir sıkışma var mı?) ve ESC için uygun olduğundan emin olmalısınız. Ayrıca çalıştırmadan önce motorun içerisini iyice kontrol edin. Motorlar güçlü mıknatıslara sahiptir ve bulunduğu ortamdaki küçük metal parçaları içerisine çekebilirler. Farketmeyebilirsiniz.
