The best trout i ever had was around a 3lb rainbow stocker and all we had to season it with was some fresh sage and the belly meat was so fat it was like beef lol and the fresh sage made it taste even better
Awesome vids man! You inspire me to go do some trout fishing here in Wi. I’d like to see you do a 24/48/72hr catch cook and camp challenge when it warms up! Trout, crawdads, and frog legs! Lol
Bruh! You freakin' nailed it. That was such an amazing catch and cook my mouth was watering for real! I know it took some time getting all those ingredients prepped, but those extra steps really helped make the video. I vote with the other guy in your comments that suggested a survival camp catch and cook when the weather warms. On a scale of 1 to 10 this video is an easy 12. Awesome job!
Ha. I fished that exact same spot you caught the fatty rainbow on Sunday morning. Was so stinking cold my eyelets froze up. Good catching! Keep the vids coming.
Excellent video my dude! Thanks for teaching us little techniques and tricks. It really helps the youth feel more confident and teachers others important tactics. Don't know if you remember me, I once had a youtube Utahfishing. Keep it up though dude, you really put down a respectful name to our area with your sincereness.
Nice video. If you ever want to come to Colorado to fish holler at me. Within 20 minutes of my house we have brown, rainbow, cutthroat, and brookies. Also some decent smallmouth, walleye, pike
Thank you for going out and providing us with fishing and cooking tips. I'm new to Northern Utah and never have fished a river. I grew up in So. California and fished largemouth bass and ocean fishing. Any suggestions and do you guide?
Now that wa a good today, but you got to send some of that SNOW down to Southern Utah, or i am going to have too buy two big wheels for the boat so in get back on the water again the spring., now i got to get something for dinner you made me Hungery.
@@bassntroutfishing yeah, on the smallish ones i don't notice them too much either. Anything over 15" i do though. Nice catch n' cooks on the river! I'm looking to do some shore camping this summer and doing some myself.

Quick question. Werent u the one that got mad at me on fish brain for throwing filleted carcasses in rivers/lakes? Yet I just saw u do it. U told me it causes whirling disease... Am I wrong lol? Maybe it was not u.
No it wasn’t me😅 I’ve never used fish brain. I actually don’t like it😅 what’s wrong with throwing carcasses back in the water? I heard it actually helps the ecosystem.
@@bassntroutfishing I'm pretty sure u got mad at me for doing such. I remember. This wasn't recent by any means, this was when I had my channel utah fishing. Absolutely LOVE your “Catch & Cook” videos!! 👍😋🎣🐟💦
What’s up dude! I actually seen you fishing at that spot on Saturday
Sweet! Did you catch anything?
Great video 🔥🔥🔥 I’m new to trout fishing, what the best lures/bait is best to use?
Spinners or rapala countdowns
He uses a lot of spinners, Rapala, and good old worms! All perfect choices.
Spinner for Is the best to start with. I actually just filmed a video comparing a 5 dollar spinner to a 1 dollar spinner.

That all looked amazing 🤩 where is that area? I’m trying to figure out where it’s at?
Great video, so what part of Utah r u fishing at. Keep up the great video's
i fish all over really, not really one area.
what state are you fishing in ?
Did you cut the Y-bones out first? I didn't catch that.
No, just the rib cage, the pin bones are so small you can eat them without noticing.

What was the combo you used in this video?
i had a flueger pursuit reel, and a 6 foot lews speed stick.
Where are you fishing at ?
so you eat the bigger stocked fish but you let the bigger natural wild ones go?

U should remind ur audience what lure or bait ur using
That pan needs to be seasoned
When you said biggest rainbows in the state gave the spot away
There are a few lakes that have big rainbows, i hope i didnt give it away.
