Same havent fished Much in the past 10 Years due to my work Schedule, but all that Might change in 2025. Knowing this hooked on Trout fishing videos on here. Bass'N'trout videos are the Best on here. Watching all. Noting lures. Gear. Mapping Lakes and streams. 👍
My favourite recipe has remained the same all my life, taught to me by my Uncle George. Don't fillet the trout - just gut it and scale it. Remove the head and tail if you want. Roll the trout in flour but don't pack the gut cavity with flour. Salt and pepper the gut cavity. Put some butter in the gut cavity and a couple thin slices of lemon. A little onion too if you want. Wrap in tin foil and bake. That's it. Works at home in the oven or in camp on a campfire. The meat separates easily from the bones like you show in your video so the bones are never a big deal. As far as I'm concerned filleting and skinning smaller trout is a waste of time, plus the bones add flavour to the cooked product.
Alright! I literally just stopped this video in shock watching you filet that trout like that!!! I am.... flabbergasted!!! ❤❤❤ I am, 💯 stoked to try that myself now! Werd!!!!
That is some of the most beautiful country your in. It is nice to see the wide open spaces I live on the eastcoast and it is cluttered with houses and buildings.
Another good video! Love the catch and cook! You’re good at cleaning those trout - You make it look easy! Most of us take a break from other things and go fishing! You’re lucky! You’re taking a break from fishing and doing other things! 🎣🎣🎣
Really enjoy your videos. I've watched all of them some two or three times . You remind me so much of my grandson . He loves to hunt deer and turkeys and fish. I have a 3 acre pond and he comes out and catches a mess of blueguill and bass then cleans and cooks them. Enjoying and appreciating the outdoors makes good people in our world . Good job young man !
Very enjoyable video, and beautiful fish. You did seem a bit personally peeved this time, but at least you got to take out your frustrations on the trout lol. I hope you do a Bad Traffic Day catch and cook sometime... I hear Long Pig is shockingly tasty. Thanks, and please keep 'em coming, your videos are very good.
Love your trout fishing vids. But I’m wondering if you could do some pike/ Muskie or wallaye maybye even some smallmouth fishing. Ik you have in the past and I think there great vids! Tight lines
I hear you on this week being hard for fishing. I normally catch 6 to 8 trout in 1 to 2 hours but yesterday I only caught two browns and today I went for over 2 hours and didn't even get a single bite. PS thanks for the video it keeps me motivated to get back out there.
Been watching some vids of yours, let me tell you chief, refreshing! Your one of the few that's in it for the love of the chase , in your vids what state you in ?.
I've eaten a lot of trout and with the skin on . Although I prefer to have it skinless ! The dang fish tasted better ! You don't eat beef with the skin on or deer or moose so if you do I'll not judge you so don't judge me ! Thumbs-up on the catch and cook !
C'mon does it get any better then off-shore fishing and then cook it right up right after oh my 🎣 It will be another month before we can do that around here ! Thanks for sharing !
I’m nowhere near the ocean so there’s not a lot of salmon around here. We do have Kokanee salmon which is just a landlocked sockeye. So I might try for some of those!
My name is James, I'm from Indiana and I wish we had ponds around here with trout in them. But unfortunately the fishing isn't very good around here. I have to go to the smokey mountains just to catch rainbow trout
Maybe the way you like to cook trout needs to be skinned, but fried trout, crispy skin and tail is delicious. I always fry my trout, crispy skin, eat the crunchy tail, the I can pit into any dish I want. I will skin a catfish, or trigger ect. Because it needs it but not trout. I don't eat the skin on Salmon but I do on Dolly vartin.
You get that a lot when they are freshly stocked - swipe and move away. Where your spinners or kastmasters come into play - chuck and wind - set the hook but don't jerk to give others a chance. Fun - but yes frustrating with hits and misses
What’s funny is when ever I throw spinners or spoons here, I barely get any follows. I’ve noticed when there’s a lot of snails and crawdads in a lake, jigs work the best hands down!
Nice - BTW your Rapala minnow lures called me asking that you show them some love. Husky Jerk 6 or 8 where you can twitch and let it sit to fish slower
@Bass'N'Trout there's a billion other epic ways to make some fancy as can be trout, but that's usually our go to especially for multi day backpacking trips. Quick easy. Delicious!! Love the channel man!
The hair on the jig is too long and they bite on to the tail and miss the hook. Happen to me before and I always trim down tail she I use a jig now. Or you can down size the jig.
Beg to differ, a lifetime of Trout fishing leads me to disagree with your "The BEST Way to COOK TROUT!! " Skinning them is silly. That skin is incredible flavor when fried.. Leave the head on but clean out the gills along with the guts. When cooked , pull the head out down through the belly cut and the spine and ribs will come out with it. The fins will pull out of a cooked fish. Fried in just a touch of oil will taste far better than baked or whatever properly describes that style of cooking. Then lemon and great eating.
I just found your channel a little over a week ago and have watched a ridiculous amount of your videos in a short time. Love the content man.
Same... Between him and Ace, the content is spot on.
Thank you so much man!!

If you are driving down, stop by Lee's Ferry for some trout fishing. Its about 45mins south of Page. You can fish there year round.
Love your trout fishing vids. But I’m wondering if you could do some pike/ Muskie or wallaye maybye even some smallmouth fishing. Ik you have in the past and I think there great vids! Tight lines
Yeah I’d like to. I’ve actually tried a couple times this winter for pike and got skunked. But I’m not giving up!
@@bassntroutfishing when the warmer weather kicks in then you’ll probably start hammering the fish!
Thanks for another fishing video. Looks very windy out there.

We are stalking rainbow trout in our 3/4 acre pond it is 30ft at the deepest part putting in 100 trout
Man you’re lucky, nothing better in life than owning and stocking your own pond!

let us know when you in Arizona we got so many places to go fishing 🎣
Hello from Russia 🇷🇺 🤝😌 Nice video !
I have a question, what about salmon fishing , are you planning do to that in near future?! 🤔🐟

New sub bro. Your vids make me hungry 👍
Lower salt in az is great for trout fishing
My name is James, I'm from Indiana and I wish we had ponds around here with trout in them. But unfortunately the fishing isn't very good around here. I have to go to the smokey mountains just to catch rainbow trout
The grass is always greener. There’s hardly any bass at all around here. 🫤
Good video broskii
🔥
I never seen a fish skinned like that 👍👍 i use hot water on fish skin to remove it
There's still snow, here I am dying of heat in India!

What is that big thing moving in the water at the 10:30 mark in the video?
Have fun in AZ dude!
Thanks!
Keep it up!
Thanks for watching!
Fish taste a lot better cooked without all the slime, scales and skin. I skin all of my fish! Enjoy the sun in Arizona😊
Yeah I’d agree. Thanks for watching man!
Anyone else see the big shadow moving through the water at 3:32?
Yes saw it! I replayed it several times. What was that?
🤔

U should smoke an cook at rockport or willard u can get mad wipers
I’m going to try for wipers in a few weeks actually!
What baseball are you doing in AZ? I’m taking my sons 14 yr old team out there from Nebraska for a tournament March 22 - 27
We watched a tournament as well! Also spring training.
get the firebox stove!!
What states are you fishing in?
Stuff it with peppers r korn beef hash night b way good just n idea
Thats a cool looking pond how deep do you think it was?
Uh I think like 15 feet, maybe a little more.
Do you wanna do a collab this summer I can show you around the Layton ponds
Best way, tinfoil, bacon in a cleaned trout. Butter. Lemon pepper. Bam
Bruh, that’s gonna happen this summer!
@Bass'N'Trout there's a billion other epic ways to make some fancy as can be trout, but that's usually our go to especially for multi day backpacking trips. Quick easy. Delicious!! Love the channel man!
Did you see the big fish in the water at 3:20?
That was the wind😅
@@bassntroutfishing bruh, i see that now. All i see is fish i need hep 😂
I'm in Arizona on 74 and north new river road I want to meet you in person
Could we fish together sometime?, I think I could get you on a redemption Muskie if we went this summer!
Y'all see that at 3:21
That was a massive peacock bass
I despise the wind. Makes it so hard to catch the trout
The hair on the jig is too long and they bite on to the tail and miss the hook. Happen to me before and I always trim down tail she I use a jig now. Or you can down size the jig.
Yeah I agree, didn’t have anything smaller though.
Why don’t you keep the skin on and eat the skin?
It would just be soggy and nasty cooked this way

I recommend you try this out!
No color to those stocked fish whats so ever, they cannot taste very good either. YUK
These fish taste amazing! I’ve noticed the more silver the trout is the redder the meat.
Watch at 3:21 something takes off from the grass on his right
That was the wind😅
@@bassntroutfishing Are you sure it wasn’t a ghost? 🤣🤣
