#Wildfrost #Part16
A thing worth noticing is that Blunky is the ultimate block, because he gets a block everytime he gets deployed. You deploy him, he tanks a big hit, you recall him, then you deploy him again when it's time to tank another big hit. And that's when he's not boosted, because you can easily make him get more block when deployed, and then he becomes an wall. Then you can also put some teeth on him and... yeah, you get the picture.
Even with that use in mind, I have a hard time envisioning how that makes him better than, say just blocking with a summoned shade. The basic shade you get from the shade faction already covers repeatable block on redraw, and the barrage summon is shockingly tanky for something you can summon over and over. I don't really see the appeal with Blunky. "It could be tanky if you boost it with defensive charms" applies just as easily to any other hero.
noomlin + blunky
@@Coffeewings334 I think the point is that blunky is very easy to work into any run, as it can be used for blocking in case you need some defense, and can easily be buffed into something thats a strong offensive card since 2 cooldown is not very common.
@@atomicluke7053 The 2 cooldown is indeed a pretty interesting property, and can be used to reasonable effect like in this run.
you can recall just normal unit, man
You better not stop wildfrost, I found you through it and I've been learning lots from it. I still can't beat the frost guardian on 0 bells
One day
@@airplanes_aren.t_real Actually just got my first W with a pepper run, utilizing 3 blaze teas, Jumbo and a strikeback charm on my "apply 3 pepper to ally behind" hero
@@westarrr congratulations, seems like a stacked deck, but how did you get 3 blaze teas?
@@airplanes_aren.t_real Found one, duped that one, then bought one
You have been the most entertaining youtuber to watch play this game and just explore all the different cards and builds this game has to offer. your gameplay is perfect for showing off how insane this game is, it is a joy to watch.
True, most other youtubers don't understand the systems or fail at the execution of the builds.
One thing about unmovable that is not intuitive is that you can still shift their positions when placing a new unit from hand and the units on the board will slide to the open spaces. Another option would have been inking the frost jailer the turn you played the sunglass chime, so you could move everything around in preparation for playing the chime into their attack the next turn. Either way a super fun run 😄
Intercontinental gnomistic missile, such a great card name
Hazeblazer does take health to add to his own. I’ve only found success with him in a Clunker build since he doesn’t take scrap health
35:10 Huh I thought the monkey charm would make I.C.G.M trigger 8 times but I guess my assumption was wrong. The charm is a nerf to it then
Yeah, it doesn't work
Yep, looks like it only triggered 4 times, so all it did was to reduce it's attack
the last part of the missile says "then destroy itself" it can't repeat again once it does that
@@rwo23 Now that you put it that way, it does make sense that he doesn't repeat again. But it could just as easily have been him attacking all of his triggers and then exploding instead, games be funny like that soemtimes.
@@rwo23 I think the problem is specifically that it is worded incorrectly on the card itself. "Trigger multiple times equal to it's health, then explode." indicates that Frenzy should work as each "trigger" should result in Attack x2 -> Attack x2 -> Attack x2 -> Attack x2 -> Explode. However, I think it's actually programmed as "ATTACK multiple times equal to it's health, then explode." which results in Attack x4 -> Explode -> Attack x4 -> Explode. For whatever reason, they conflated attacking and triggering differently on this card than most...
RIP for the Streak. What a ride it's been. This one was more fun with Blunky for me then the unlimited frenzy (even though that was awesome too). Your game crafting is off the chart man.
36:08 “dear diary, game’s over!”😂
ICGM is such a versatile card it's nuts.
It can block damage, it can do a lot of damage even if you just leave it on the board, it gets absurd with sunglass chime. Very fun!
i cannot describe the immense joy i feel from hearing the big FPOOM from blunky's attack EVERY SINGLE TURN. i literally cackle like a goblin
Loving Wildfrost! Thanks for introducing us Reto
That bamboozle play was just nuts, what a fight
today i learned that moko charm on icgm did nothing, only 4 triggers max yet -2 attack
Blunky, Mini Mika, Lil berry, Yuki, its all the small little guys that are just overpowered in this game huh
@@jonahchickering4908 they all be little glass canons
The frenzy on the IGCM does work, just not the way you would think. I only noticed at the end, when the 3 health ones did 4 attacks.
note, when you discount count down and trigger. you still get a count down tick at the end of the turn.
Example. blunky has 2 countdown. use sun rod -2 = 0. blunky gets triggered and attacks. blunky is set to 2 after the attack.
then enemies turn. then your turn. blunky countdown to 1.
with a blunky with 1max countdown. sun rod>trigger>set to 1>enemy turn>your turn> blunkey triggers again. set to 1.
A Frost Guardian whose build has 2 different cards buff up a 5-block 12 damage Blunky...
Wow that's scary
All aboard the blunky murder train. Those charms made him insane
Uh oh, looks like we've a got a fight VS Giga Clunky to look forwards too.
I think a way you could make a hazeblazer build is as thus:
Hazeblazer
The thing that gives all allies in the row 2 health
Have Hazeblazer be in his own row (perhaps as a meat shield for something like a bling bank given that, like the leech, he gains the health he steals) and use the berry on your hero and others.
Here's a build to try. "Hollow Knights in Wildfrost"
Make a team of shapeshifters and mask-themed items.
Does it work? No clue.
But it's quite fun(ny) when it does!
He does take max health and 99% of the time will not see play even in the deck that runs them, that being said they are ok for some fights if you don’t play them till later and even bench them to prevent killing your other members when needed.
He do be Blunk'in tho.
"If we take the double junk we can get the suncream this turn." - Retromation, 2023
Haze blazer bushu is a funny combo
On today's episode of retromation plays wildfrost: retro commits what's most likely a war crime
blunky bomb with the explosive charm ez row wipe
this run was super fun!!!
I love the "HellOoOu everybody" at the starts
Is the berry boss new. Its the first time i see it
hazeblazer takes max health, and gains it for himself, and can kill your units fully. But you can also just let him proc 1-2 times and then toss him into your deck. 6 cooldown makes him pretty bad though.
I am curious what happens if you suncream with lumin on it to reduce blunky to 0, does it cap at 1, or does it break?
Breaking news!! Gnome man fires the forbidden missiles at frost empire and dies to them launching!!
How does Hazeblazer work with Berrysis?
A super buffed Snofel (either frenzy, 2+ snow or super low cooldown) or that card that oils all enemies might be necessary for this true final boss. Just theorycrafting. They just have so much tempo from the start and the unmovable is just too big.
I looove the game and really enjoy your gameplay!
Imagine if he took Gigi's cookie box
Is this the guy that's featured in inscription? Sounds just like him
If you lumin vase suncream and then put it on Blunky would he get -2 cooldown and just auto attack endlessly?
A youtuber called voyix did it on the naked gnome and it has a minimum of one turn.
i wonder what happens if you reduce cooldown to zero? eg lumin->suncream->blunky. i would guess its minimum 1
can say the minimum is in fact 1, having tried suncream on gnome with sun charm
lumin suncream might bypass the 1 minimum, though it'll still work as 1 cooldown since recycle 0 works as recycle 1
More like the Blunkmasters...
time to write a negative review, that last fight was not *balanced*!
Three crowns on I.C.G.M, a crown on Sunglass Chime
Profit?
this is my comment down below to tell you I’d be sad to see the series go
broken vase no longer being renamed as fixed vase😢
I like cheese.
😁
38:29 Seems like an absolutely terrible play. Why not just hammer the hog on the bottom row? Ik it’s easy to make dumb mistakes in this game but that one had me irked
I must be getting a lot of new people to the series, I've explained how important combos are so many times. That was a 6x combo, that play made me over 100 coins, it is perhaps one of the _better_ plays in the episode lol.
ya frenzy is useless for icgm
