quick cheeky advice, if you combo (kill multiple enemies in the same turn) you get a bonus in money, so instead of killing enemies 1 by 1, you can setup the combo and make more money! awesome vid like always!

Is Yuki's snowball getting bigger together with it getting more attack from snow effects. So much attention to detail, I love it
I saw the upload yesterday. Without knowing Chucklefish released a card based rouge-like. Literally stayed up till 4 am last night, so thanks for that.
Also, Aimless can only attack legal targets. So you can hide your valuables in the opposite lane most of the time.

Kinda sad champons gloves don’t grow as Yukis snowball does
I mean it kinda makes sense cause it's a snowball and snowballs grow as you add more snow to 'em- but also that would be so funny to see chompom wielding these absolute behemoths of gloves with like 30 shells
This game looks amazing and I’m honestly pretty surprised by the mixed steam reviews. Some of the most fun watching and playing I’ve had in a while!
All the bad reviews are literally people complaining about their own lack of skill.

Yessss. Got my first win today so I'm now allowed to enjoy other people playing it.
Instantly inspired to play with the +2 to items in hand clunker. So much fun.

The game is incredibly hard, but all of my losses so far have been down to inattentive play just letting one of my units get killed and then snowballing into a loss from there. It's very much "hard but fair" in a way that most other roguelike deckbuilders aren't, even - I've been playing a lot of Slay the Spire again recently, and let me tell you, high Ascension levels on that game are a heck of a lot more RNG-reliant than Wildfrost is, you can very easily just never be offered any decent synergies and be screwed even if you play optimally.
I've felt like I couldn't have done anything to win in Wildfrost exactly once, against the crab enemies with tonnes of block, when I'd removed all of my Scrappy Blades and had a team focused around Snoffle freezing everything, Dimona giving guys curse and then Yuki hitting them for eighteen million damage, which meant that I straight up had no way to punch through all of the block in time because my only ways of dealing damage were snow sticks, Yuki and my hero. Felt unfair (it was my first time seeing the crabs), but at the same time, I picked that very specific build.
I think this game looks great. A lot of people saying it's too hard, and perhaps it just needs difficulty levels. More money and slower scaling of the battle intensity at lower difficulty, allowing the player to scale up.
Or, a lot of people need to get good.
Seeing Skootie do some sub-optimal plays, errors and downright misplays, but still managing to recover, adapt and pull through with a win makes me believe Nathaniel is indeed correct here.
Game's indeed difficult - no doubts about that, but getting good does remedy it - and if you are good, even making mistakes allows you to win.
@@IvanSensei88 I haven't played the game, so maybe I'm not seeing how sub optimal he is. I certainly have played games that some people say are too hard because they aren't good, though, so I get that. Cheers
@@DavidLodgeclassof Well there were instances where he could've done something better - but even those did not cost him the run - proving you can make mistakes and still make up for it with better plays later on.
Near the end he really nailed it.
Some people argue that you need to be absolutely perfect and say 1 mistake = game over, which I think is an exaggeration.
I'm on a long winning streak. It's possible to beat the game every single run. Very little RNG is actually involved.

I love the art style of this game.
A 0 damage hit is still a hit. If you tank 0 damage hits with Kernel it gives shell.
15:43 miss opportunity for healing shield combo using big berry just to recruit a benched 1,1 stats
There is another fight afterwards on higher difficulty

I’ve taken to saying it’s “unforgiving” rather than difficult. It’s pretty easy but you can’t make many mistakes.

Okay, if people think this game is hard they should check nowhere prophet out. Very similar games, different tones but yeah, nowhere prophet makes this look like nothing.

Does anyone know what it is that indicates how many cards he can play before the turn starts? I'm looking for mana or something, but I just don't see it. Is it behind his facecam?
The crowns he buys in the shop do it
@Zach Engel I understand where you're coming from, but thats not what I meant, how do we know how many cards he can play in the middle of the round? Like why isn't he playing all of the ones in his hand? Where's that counter
@@benniboi7231 oh. No mana. His face cam is covering a bell. After playing 4+ cards, he can ring the bell and get a new hand for free. He can also ring the bell before playing 4 cards but it'll drop everyone's counter by one.
Its just 1 card buddy lol
