Game is really hard to win after the first win. But giving a negative review is crazy. It really has so many strategies to make and so fun to play. People give 1 hours lame as games %97 on steam but love giving %60 to little hard games.
@@bugra-yildirim I agree I won a run on my 2nd attempt and it took me about 5 hours to beat a new run cause my first team was too pogged up but it definitely helps with needing a unique strategy to complete a run
yeah I won my first run and it took me like 10 attempts to get another one rolling. Speaking of which, I got tiny tyko (every time he is hit he gains x1 frenzy) with lumin buff, AND slapsticks to hit him four times. I stacked 40+ frenzy on him and constantly got 6x combos lmao
@@bugra-yildirim Honestly, I feel like the opposite. The game is fairly easy but has a bit of a "learning curve", at least if you aren't paying enough attention and/or don't properly understand certain interactions. I've died 10+times so far and I think all but 1 of them were due to not understanding a certain card's effect/interaction or leaving an ally hanging on a space by mistake/not paying attention.
Literally my last run died due to not properly reading the Kobonker card and not realising it can trigger against your own allies 😭
Nah the game is horribly balanced, that's a fact. And that's why it has not great reviews on balance. People aren't that stupid. The rest of the game is good, art, variable enemies.. But charms and cards are not amazing, very shallow. The wild swings in encounters that can be literally impossible to beat is disappointing. Very luck based. I've been playing videogames my whole life, beaten slay the Spire on ascension 20, I know what an imbalanced game feels like lmao. The starters can be so bad and no reroll option.. The most viable strat is big freeze or poison, otherwise the game is pure RNG. It's like this game starts off at ascension 15. The second clan is so much better than the first.

Booshu counter is just terrible... Only really playable with a veeery tanky hero.

Booshu is cracked with balance charm, but is otherwise decent.
@@walaceandrade4046 people are underrating booshu or maybe overrating snoof. Booshu isn't incredible but none of the starters are, that's the point. Healing is very limited and booshu can really expand survivability and works well with the berry people
@@dg5059 snoof may not be the best thing ever, but damn, those last 3 starters are amazing.
A pet that can tank and draw if you keep recalling it regurlaly, The Spike boy can set up some nice combos no other pet can at early game and the Last one is a huge buff to 4 counter heros and heros that attack twice.

Recalling him doesn't heal him. It's usually only worth doing to dodge a barrage or clear shroom.
Will NL ever run a Shademancers run? We may never know.

I've won with both the other clans but most of the shademancer deck seems really lackluster

@@julielove4evr There's a lot of ways to win with them. Summons with spikes and frost. Chicken + muncher. Overburn is combo city which gives you a ton of extra cash too.

It's alright, most of the unlocked cards and charms are kind of dog water anyway
Is this somehow the first time NL played this? Seems like he forgot how health, attack, turn timers and abilities work.
Booshu is actually a good card, you just need to do a dedicated heal deck, as it's not the pet to pick if you're not aiming for that, as having one extra healing source early on for a health build can make a lot of difference, and after a point, you can just shelf them once you've gotten better companions along the road

Feel like you missed the synergy of sunbox on tinkerson for scaling the junk damage up. Healing is really good, you just snow the wrong targets and get enemies stacked up on the same timers.

i'm really falling in love with the art for this game. it's already on my steam wishlist, but watching NL play it will hold me over for now.
NL: pick a pet that scales with how many companions you have on the board
NL later: "We don't need any more units on the board".
NL at the end: Well, this units sucks.
And don't even get me started on wasting wood health on 1 dmg attacks "to get junk" even when other units are at max hp and will get overhealed in 2 turns anyway.
Didnt even got to that part and it still hurt.

It's worse than on a recurring attack as your deck doesn't cycle as fast as a 3 turn attack usually

I actually think the reason he keeps mixing up the attack and the health could be because of a colour issue in the UI. I think because the contrast between the black lettering and the red heart is so much greater than that between the lettering and the light blue sword, your eyes are naturally drawn to it when you're looking for either of those stats.
I think I do make fewer mistakes than nl when I play the game privately and sometimes I’m even tempted to talk shit to him, but I must admit that playing wild frost while talking to 10000 people is a much harder gig than just playing wild frost. As such, I don’t really get mad when he fucks up, I just laugh.
I love that the lesson learned is ‘healing is useless.’

I didn't think healing is that bad, I think 6 turns cooldown that's what makes Booshu bad. Imagine if it was 3 like Snoof.

If you're not ready for the nut you're gonna have a bad time. It's caught me by surprise many times.
I know this is a month old by this point but I just want to jump to Booshu's defense. I'm all about the Boosh, you just have to mitigate the heavy turn counter with sun items and hope for a balance charm.

Booshu definitely is not good, should be max 4 turn cool down for an effect that is probably on par or even weaker than 1 snow. However some of the future pets are fantastic- getting free draws (works particularly well with shademancers) having an 8 health wall with 2 spikes or the last pet giving +1 attack to all allies (pairs insane with frenzy units) are better than Snoof in my opinion
Booshu with little berry has allways been nice, especially if you get your hands on a bunch of sun rods

I'm kinda with NL on this actually. With a mind for Magic and SAP, I can understand why he might be more comfortable with the stats ordered as ATK/HP rather than HP/ATK.

Booshu is better than snoof. The real issue is that he wasn't running 3 companions.

Who needs scaling damage when you can get berry sis and a copy mask for infinite scaling health?
@@fleasy4393 Sometimes you don't see either of those things though. I had more than just Booshu giving lil berry +2 every 3 turns too. It was completely unlosable.

healing is *super* relevant and booshu is probably under-tuned stat-wise but they can be absolutely nutty. the problem with this run was he only had two companions when he could have 3 to 4 at that point, and booshu is meant to support your companions, so...if you pick them up you should be maxing out the companions you have, not going with the bare minimum.
if I roll the shade tribe I'm taking booshu over snoof and I'll clear those runs

I've played a lot of card games and this is the first where attack has been on the right. It's a great UI though, just a weird decision to go against the grain.
When you say attack what do you mean? Like the damage displayed on a card?
@@arlanengin6904 Yeah. Offense on the left of the card and defense on the right of the card (whatever the particular game calls those values).
@@goclbert sorry, I hadn’t gotten to the part of the video where he brought it up, now I understand. It is weird because there are definitely some big card games that have right side attack (magic the gathering, pokemon). I think it’s honestly more odd that the health is at the top than anything. I feel like that’s pretty unusual.
@@arlanengin6904 When I said right side attack, I meant relative to defense. In Magic, power is left of toughness. Pokemon has a totally different setup that isn't really a left/right thing

NL didn't make any misplays during the game that led to his loss, it was not taking snoof before the run even started
There was a really bad redraw in there and slightly inaccurate use of ink/snow but I think he would have been beaten anyway with his setup. Fun game to watch

Booshu is a lot better than snoof imo. The real issue is that NL only ran 2 companions rather than the 3 max. Having an extra tanky character would have made booshu shine.
Booshu is not that good lmao. Snoof can freeze a unit every turn if you get his cooldown lowered twice, which completely locks down even bosses. It's not that rare, NL managed to do it once already. The best Booshu can hope for is healing a couple health points here and there, which isn't that useful because you quickly run into enemies like bigfoot that deal 7 damage aimlessly every 4 turns, and not all your companions (including Booshu) will even have 7HP.

Most runs I've won so far have been with Booshu. With a full team of companions (which NL didn't have) you can have your companions alternate taking hits. Booshu will top then them up again. If you don't have a healer for the small hits then you are fighting a war of attrition, where all your companions are down at 1 health.
Big hits like from a Bigfoot you aren't supposed to take to begin with, you let your equipments take the hit, but disregarding that NL would have no answer to a Bigfoot. Snoof could maybe delay the Bigfoot hit by one turn if it's at the front and that's it. With Booshu you'd at least have a full health big unit that can take the hit while your other units are at full health as well. This allows you to recall your big unit and have your other companions take some small hits, while you wait to redraw your big unit.
There are plenty of good snow options in the game, while healing is few and far between.
