    They are inching closer to a class action lawsuit if they don't step it up.

      Lets just hope they step up the game. They have been given the warning plenty of times by customers and now have the tools to fix the machines.

    Thanks for the vid! I just had a vacuum alarm. Am not asking for help as I getting ready to follow the procedures you have laid out. I'm ok with taking my machine apart and working on it. I would like to know how it works and how to fix it. Thanks again!

    I have a large machine ordered last year. The Demister will seize on the oil reservoir!!!! I also get the error not cold enough!!! So frustrating for me, gahhh lowered initial freeze to 0!

      How many ice rings do you have? The whole black demister will not come off or the filter part?

    • @kimmyseegmiller985

      @freezedryerrepairsupport it's ice towards the back of the machine, and the entire Demister seized onto the oil reservoir. I lowered initial freeze to zero!

      If you only have ice toward the back it’s likely you are low on Freon. Oh no about your demister. I would contact HR and ask if they will replace the front part or if your under warranty maybe they will replace the pump.

    I literally CANNOT get the part where the wires come out of the drum, off. I can’t. I was pulling as hard as I could on the wrench. I siliconed the wires and got everything else off and taped. I just yanked on the thing until I was in tears. I can’t break this thing and throw all my cash out the window. I am below 500 now though and no vacuum errors anymore.

      If it won't come off and you are getting good mtorr's it will likely be OK.

      @freezedryerrepairsupport  Рік тому

      Yes Kevin is correct you should be good if you are getting below 500 mT.

    I have a question when I do the Felix fix and when you took the black insulation off the copper pipe, do you not put anything back on there? I was watching the video to make sure I had everything before I got started and I noticed that you took the insulation off and then turn the machine to work on the other side but you never put anything back on the copper pipe. So are you saying that once you do all of your stuff that you have to wrap and put the silicone on there then you don’t have to put anything on the copper tubing.

      Thks just to clarify my machine never leaves the freezing screen no mater if i leave it for 5hr or 20hr, there is ice in the machine and the bread is frozen but never cools more than -17f and hops around between -10- -17f .. so proceed with the settings and bypass? Thks in advance

      @@jaytee268 so I would think from what you are saying you might have low Freon

    Why is HR still sending these units out like this? They should be fully testing these before they ship. The modifications that the customers are doing should be standard during manufacturing. Mine arrives next week. Hopefully it'll be one that works out of the box.

    • @kevinrowbotham545
      @kevinrowbotham545 Рік тому

      Questions to ask HR for sure.
      I'd go as far as to say a well designed machine should not need modification by end users to function.

      Don't you remember when you bought that $2000 refrigerator and they had you disassemble the whole thing and fix the factory errors???

      @@timothyharris1886 Funny! I did buy a Maytag refrigerator one time that had not been properly charged with refrigerant from the factory. The company I bought it from drove an hour out of the city to bring me a replacement and pickup the faulty unit. Decent customer service and as I recall the unit was only about $1000 at that time.

      Brain I hope it does work out of the box. Unfortunately many peoples don't and they have to fix themselves. I have a new one I just bought locally if it don't work HR would charge me shipping to send it back to get repaired. Alaska is not cheap for shipping so some people this might be the only fix

    • @w4pbk
      @w4pbk Рік тому

      @Freeze Dryer Repair Support I'm confident that I can repair any leaks with the Felix fix, I'm just concerned about voiding the warranty since the function test is no longer recommended by HR.
