I learnt so much from this one , thank you so much. A whole new world has opened for me while working on my documents and files. Thanks for this great tutorial.
You are the best! I use your clip tools especially to copy the title of a UA-cam video then I clip the link in the share button. Then I go to my notes app and use the clip tools to paste the title and its link. What A time saver. Many thanks
WOW! I have used Macs since the first one came out - and never explored all the variations you show here, Would have saved a lot of time using these suggested actions.
You are so skilled at explaining things, only experts can explain things in a simple way! thank you. To cover this topic further, perhaps you might consider explaining "cut" in a future video.
Thanks Gary. Excellent. TY for Paste- style- that is a life-saver! Also love the look of your App and will install it on my Mac. ❤ Also the second clipboard, I never knew existed and sometimes I want to add to my original Clip but did not know a way to do it. This second clipboard gets round that. Thanks.
Excellent. This solves a problem that several Mac Community members had: the symbol for copied material in the instrument menu had disappeared . They all had in common Parallels on their disks (as did I) and concluded that Parallel Tools had torpedoed the copy symbol. The important point was to recover the function and this does the job and then some.
Coming from Windows, I really miss the Cut and Paste Commands in the Windows equavilent of Mac Finder. It should be Cmd X and Cmd V but instead I have to learn Cmd C and Opt Cmd V to cut and paste from the internal disk to an external hard disk. The ^K/^Y options is something that I did not know about so might give that a try but is difficult when you use both operating systems.
The basic idea here is that if you want to move a file (on Windows, CTRL-X) and, for instance, you get a phone call and forget about the file being cut, it will disappear from its original location without being pasted into the new one. However, if you simply copy the file (Cmd + C on Mac), it will remain in its original location. The file will only move when you paste it (Cmd + Option + V) into the new location.
Good tips. I would guess paste and match style is my most used secondary shortcut. I hadn't known about kill and yank. That's a little humorous they would get named that.
Nice use of Live Text. But I had to look up why Apple used "pb" (for "pasteboard") instead of "cb" in cbcopy/cbpaste. I may have trouble remembering that oddity. I'm wondering how you do it! But as an old emacs user, ^k/y are forever in my muscle memory! Thanks for the great video!
Great video as usual. One thing I notice - I don't know if it is a Mac error or a Google Calendar error. I can't command C from anywhere and then try to command V in Calendar - just beeps at me. However, I can right click and paste to Calendar - very odd.
It would be nice if apple copy the windows clipboard option of being able to hold many different clipboard items at once. I find that really useful for pasting email and password and the like.
An apparent limitation to Kill and Yank is that the undelete buffers are unique to each app: You can't Kill in TextEdit and then Yank it into Pages. Hmmmmm. Any access to the buffers using Terminal, Gary?
You can get them here at UA-cam, or at the MacMost.com web site. If you want something to remind you to check for new videos, I have a free weekly newsletter that lists them (macmost.com/newsletter). But yes, the podcast RSS feed is no more. Few people used it. I made a video about it here: www.patreon.com/posts/end-of-video-115624657
Excellent tutorial. As usual, you show several features I was not aware of. Many thanks!

This topic is exactly what I needed. This is very informative, thank you 🙏🏽
Pasting style has probably saved me a month of life. It works across virtually every app and can accomplish near miraculous fixes.
Gary, you rock in explaining the basics and pointing out 'low hanging fruit'. My regards from the Netherlands

You are the best. Those clippings from phone to Mac are fantastique - from Montréal with Love.
new mac user here. very useful! thank you.
Great video, Gary!
A very useful and informative video tutorial today! Thank you, Gary! Happy Thanksgiving 🦃👏🏻❤️
Thank you so much. Not just for this amazing tutorial. Thanks for your hard work to make life of us. Mack users, much easier.
I'm going to watch this one a few times to get it all. Thanks for this one
Fantastic, I knew none of these and I have been using a Mac for years, brillent.
You are so skilled at explaining things, only experts can explain things in a simple way! thank you. To cover this topic further, perhaps you might consider explaining "cut" in a future video.
Thanks again. I learn so much that I never knew about

Gary ... as always ... incredible video with super content ... thank you!!
Thank you Gary, what an eyeopener. Off course I knew the standard copy and paste possibilties, but the ones I didn’t know of……😊
Smashing work Gary, thanks
That is great information. I will use these functions. Thanks!
9:03 Excellent and indispensable application!
Garry, you once again blew me away with some phenomenal tips. I am going to be downloading your clip tools program. Does it work with iOS devices too?
No, it is a Mac app.
I learned today, thanks.
Nice sweater!

Yeah, back in those days they tried to get everything to match the first letter of the shortcut itself.
Mac Most Clip Tools is great.

Lots of free clipboard managers to choose from, though. Like my own that I mention here.
^K/^Y are from emacs text system. ^E/^A to move to end/beginning of line, ^O to open line at cursor etc. Shame we can’t have vi bindings 😢
The programmers at Apple prefer emacs. 🙂
Now we can right click on the preview screenshot for more options before t disappear .

1:50 I use that kind of paste a lot but the shortcut is killing me
Why am I not getting your videos in my downcast app. I used to get them all the time. Did something change. I can only get them on UA-cam now.
You can get them here at UA-cam, or at the MacMost.com web site. If you want something to remind you to check for new videos, I have a free weekly newsletter that lists them (macmost.com/newsletter). I didn't know you're a programmer making apps
Wow, Ctrl-K and Ctrl-Y are from emacs text editor. Who knows emacs?
Mr Rogers gets a baseball cap
Finding the "clipboard" is one thing I've failed at over and over again. Wish Apple made it easier.
I downloaded clip tools in my Mac M3, but it wouldn't open.
Answering my own question, I had to go to Privacy and Security, etc. Now, we'll see, bu it got included now.
