I DID IT. I FOUND YOUR STITCHES. Cody, im right there with you on perfection. My neighbor ripped my project out 3 ties bc the sides were crooked. I vried and said "im not doing this" she said "oh yes you will and your work is going to be perfect". Im 75 yrs old and if i detect a flaw i rip it out and start over...thank you to my blessed teacher mrs. Betts in heaven❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Glenda, I am so happy that your surgery was a success. I’ve had cataract surgery, as well as a couple other procedures, so I know how it goes. Be sure to use your drops, as they are very important. I think I told you that I have severe glaucoma and I’m now legally blind. my vision keeps getting worse, but I have learned to adapt. I’m not going to let it get me down. As long as I can crochet and listen to books, and walk around my apartment building I’m OK. And I am so fortunate to have a wonderful Church family. The four of the five grandsons who lived near me are always a help. I am only 48 or 49, and my grandsons are all very tall, and they protective of their tiny grandma. I don’t know what I would do without them. I think my favorite videos are the ones were you and Cody are together. That’s because I know you understand a wonderful grandson can be.
Thank you both for sharing. Great video. Cody explains a lot about yarn and how the stitches makes up different patterns. Stitch tight or loose makes a difference. It’s so hard, when you first learn to crochet, for perfectionists. It’s very easy to get frustrated with stitches when you don’t know exactly how the stitches should look. Tension is definitely a big thing that improves your crochet but is so hard to get consistent with. I recommend trying to relax your hands as much as possible. Also, stitch markers are my best friend to keep even sides of my work and to not add or drop stitches. I agree that @hookedbyrobin is great! She’s a great teacher. I also enjoy Toni @TLyarncrafts. She teaches Tunisian crochet in a very easy to understand and follow way.
I like the berry colors the best. Really enjoy seeing Cody on the channel. I don’t know how you two manage to not melt in that room that is so hot surrounded by yarn. Whew! 🫠

She’s a great teacher, but I’ve learnt lots of new things from you guys too and have crocheted lots of the stitches of the week. I love your swatch videos ❤
Cody for the start chain you can use a hook 1 size bigger then recommended and then in the second row use the hook recommended by the manufactory. Love your videos.

Oh Robin is amazing 🌟 The short color change skeins can sometimes look beautiful but when it forms in your work, looks very different like you said. I liked all your swatches Cody . Wow getting eye surgery is like a whole new beautiful world.june 4, I got my first left eye cataract surgery done.July 2, is my second right eye appointment for surgery.i have to use reader glasses 🤓. Happy for you God Bless ❤

I absolutely love this HL soft and sleek. It makes gorgeous soft blankets; I use it a lot. Thanks for the swatches with the different stitches; it really does help all of us! Since I have so many of your stitch tutorials printed it would be helpful for me to not only mention the stitch pattern but the number of the stitch pattern as well….please🙃
Cody, use a larger size hook for your starting team. That will help to keep your violin the same as the rest of the blanket. I usually go up a size or even a size and the half it just depends on the yarn. Anyway, I think that will help you.
