@@MetalPersonJ it is! out of all basic band instruments the drums are well known to be the hardest to combine with singing. And it has multiple reasons; drums are more physical demanding, which causes different breathing and thereby your constanly moving to drum. Also the drums are providing the musics rythem while singing usually follows the flow of the melody. These things inherently make it harder to hold perfect notes while playing drums. But of course everything can be learned by lots practicing, like Levon ;)

Probably has been. a literally infinite number of times, as have you, even existing right now, as I write this, but only if the universe is truly infinite. On Earth, your statement is almost certainly true.
And FAR greater guitar playing exists right now. Advancement is made in music, just like in sports and practically every other category, often standing on the backs, if you will, of previous innovators, like many groups of the seventies did going all the way back to the classical music period.
You should really look around. And no, I very much do not mean in the current popular music, most of which is designed to sell, and not much else. The kind I am talking about is all over YT. If you want some examples, check out Tommy Emanuel (his Classical Gas and Over the Rainbow are a good place to start), Jon Gomm (Passionflower), Daws, Andress, and I could go on and on, including those not with us any more, Chet Atkins, Jo, Stafford. ad infinitum, practically. Listen to these very musicians and pretty much all others in interviews and you will hear them say exactly that, musical heroes they held dear, and folks that influenced them greatly. Often you can pick out styles and the influencers of that style.
I'm sure some of it is not remotely your cup of tea, but just sayin'. It is true in all other genres, too. A Capella, try Home Free, Pentatonix (especially when Avi was with the group) and a new struggling not at all well known group, Fifth Street, try their 'Fairly Odd Parents' (really, it is awesome), 'Hide and Seek', 'Winter Song'.
If you want music of the kind that has NEVER been written before, Jacob Collier, 'Flintstones' or "In the Bleak Mid Winter" where he pulls a trick I have NEVER seen anyone try before, he modulates to G half sharp (yes, right into the middle of the cracks on a piano) and back to G in four notes in, about the same distance out, and I defy you to locate it. A trick, yeah, but amazing.
I could go on and on and on and ..., but I'll leave the amazing journey to you, unless you want more. Just ask.

Three could take lead guitar if called on, with one also a fine keyboardist. Talk about depth! And the songs! Literally dozens of undisputed classics which still sound fresh and defined 70s west-coast country rock. America's true answer to the Beatles, and unlike them, they could deliver it note for note on stage, which existing sound technology never allowed the Fabs to do. The Eagles have been one of my favorite bands since first hearing this song in 1976. When they broke up in the early 80's after the Long Run album, I never thought I'd see them again , but their music has always been on my playlist. But then in 1994 they reconnected, and launched the Hell Freezes Over tour with the first concert being here in Honolulu, Hawaii , at Aloha Stadium. Needless to say, I was at field level directly in front of the stage. The lights came up, revealing Henley on the drums, and Felder, Frey, Walsh, & Schmidt, perched on tall stools at the front of the stage. They launched into a long intro building up to this song. It was epic,......stunningly great. I agree with you completely......they play with precision but in a way that flows freely. Their vocal dynamics and harmonies only add to a sound that is very pleasing to the ear. BTW....loved your perspectives on their musicianship. Also, that Brick Wall suit is slick as heck.

Great job, Beth! Your observation about the difficulty of Don's vocal variability while maintaining percussion precision was spot on. And the unity of the whole group in demonstrating the self-control and personal humility to together construct this masterpiece is impressive. That's why they is them!
BTW, It's been a year since you've listened to Angelina Jordan (unless you're doing it offline). Anyways she has since covered Adele's new song, Michael Jackson's "Billie Jean", and two songs of her own "Million Miles" (bring tissues), and 7th Heaven amongst other notable work. Please react to her again.

@@cchavezjr7 he may not be technically great but he is a fantastic emotional singer and storyteller. His harmonies are always spot on. Like anything, it’s subjective and personal preference. I would rather listen to Joe than Don.

@@cydrych Not saying he's not unique but he's not in a great singer class. He even said the reason he became the singer in the James Gang was because he sucked the least lol.

I really enjoyed your reaction. The Eagles are one of the finest bands that's ever been, and I appreciated the fact that you acknowledged the sheer musicianship of each of the members. With that in mind, I think that you would really enjoy listening to Rocky Mountain Way by Joe Walsh (the guitarist dressed in the "brick" suit) in this video. Joe is a bit offbeat, but an unbelievable talent who happens to be one of the best blues/slide guitar players. Glen Frey once described Joe as "an interesting bunch of guys." Give him a listen... I don't think you'll be disappointed.
