If you've never ridden a heavy motorcycle, you can't appreciate the difficulty of having to hold up hundreds of pounds in stop and go traffic. This is why it's legal to lane split at these times, but your speed has to be reasonable. It's been a while since I've ridden because I have had too many family and friends crash, and some die. Please wear full helmets! 1 friend shattered his skull with a half helmet, but my sisters life and spine were spared due to Kevlar jacket full helmet and neck support. She did break all 4 limbs and can no longer work in neurosurgery! Most of the time, it's not the motorcyclists' fault. Please, everyone, check their surroundings and slow down!
