  • There is a backstory to the origins of the Clio V6 that, up until now, has been untold.
A German car designer, Axel Breun, who was Director of Concept Cars as well as the Sport Division at Renault, had an insane idea: to put the engine of a Ferrari 308 into a Renault Twingo.
This was, of course, a private project, but it took inspiration from within the company and would later find its way back to an official program...

Super short film ! Alex Brun is a real passionate car designer, not a stylist; you can see that in the film. I remember Alex Brun as a very nice person, back in 2007 (technocentre Renault). At that time he was a the head of the Renault-Sport Design Team. Renault had in that period, a unique Design studio with a very professional and effective team. They were ahead in many fields at that time (CAD design, multicultural team, de-visu CGI, workshops,... ) Unfortunately, all went different with Carlos Gohsn and his team mate Patrick Pélata. They manage very well to destroy that (too) powerful design studio (...) Sad for Renault, and for the French car industry.

This was awesome. With a lovely sponsor, you could do these more often as introductions to the podcast. I beg of you to do this with Daniel Simon, Felix Godard and Oscar Johansson Sam. Oh and also the story of Bugatti Veyron and Chiron. Haha I would give you all the money to do so if I win the lottery

Mine was on 83,000 miles when I sold it for £7.5k in 2014. In hindsight, it was probably a bad time to sell 😂, but the purchase of our first house was at the time more important.
