Other youtubers need to pay attention, this is how you do a "how much did it cost" video for a build! Nothing annoys me more than when you get someone claiming they did a build for "only 5k" but then they got 99% of the parts for free and labor at a discount etc.. etc.. it was so refreshing to not only see what you actually paid but also how you could've reduced the price and what it would cost someone who can't get parts for "free"

Whilst you haven't 'lost' money, that is mostly due to the Sponsors who have donated numerous parts for free which if you had to buy yourselves, would have left you about quite a bit of money out of pocket so it would have been a 'loss' if you didn't have some great sponsors to 'help' you out to just about 'break even'. Of course in another few years or so, that car could be worth a lot more and you could make money - even if you didn't have sponsors. But at least you know you made the right decision on colour choice - although I still prefer the look of the Black/Gold myself and would buy B/G over Acid Yellow every time - but that's my preference. My Garage would look very different to Tim's but that's what makes his collection uniquely his...

The colour change was worth it and it does look good BUT for a car of this value and rarity and for a little bit of extra work I would have sprayed the original black areas under the bonnet in Acid yellow as well to just get it looking a little more factory oem when you open the bonnet. With the black still showing It's such an obvious respray when you open the bonnet and a lot of those areas are very visible even with the plastic storage bin in place. People do like to see under the bonnet off these Clio V6s just to see what isn't and is there.... Trust me I know because I own an Iceberg Silver phase 1 Clio V6 and people always want to see under the bonnet😊

I love the term "OEM+" because that's the same mentality I took with my project 300ZX turbo. Not racecar route, just upgrades on power, suspension, brakes while going with a brand new materials for the interior. There's definitely a market for stock & OEM+
In 2020, a Clio V6 phase 1 with only 2106 miles and in an equally rare colour, illiad blue (only 8 imported in in the UK) was auctioned off for £60.000. It was an all original car, no mods, even the original tyres were still on it. So i think this is the best you could have done with it.
@Topaz Detailing 15:02 you missed behind the rearview mirror. As a detailer I think this is the first time ive ever noticed a dirty rearview mirror surround.

THIS gentlemen, is the best ever video I've seen from Shmee as I really really enjoyed it and, although I'm not really a Renault fan, this car, in my opinion is the most brilliant car in the collection and if Shmee decides to sell it, it will be the worst decision he ever made. He has an absolutely unique car there and one that will always be fun to drive and own... PLEASE PLEASE DON'T SELL IT... ENJOY IT RATHER

Good job, chaps. I am interested in the cost of replacements, upgrades and mods. My method has been to buy a previous owned and repair and replace as needed. I used OEM, upgrade or racing parts each repair. Wonderful.

Quick question on the V3’s…. Did you leave them at what KW recommended out of the box or have you tweaked them? I have them on a completely different car but I was blown away with them so much out of the box I’ve never messed, but I’ve always wondered if I’m leaving something on the table …..
Topaz have probably done the ppf free of charge, or heavily discounted. Probably wont document this, as they wouldn’t want to upset other regular Topaz clients.
