I agree with all of the replies, this train layout is fantastic. The detail from arcing electrical work on a building, the elevator, the steaming stack on a train, and all the rest, WOW! At the beginning you showed how trais are loaded and removed from the display case, that was great. I am addicted to these videos, and was so happy to see this one. Loved every part of the steam engines. OH, and can't forget the aerial tram. The camera placement was so perfect. Thank you so much.
Definitely an amazing layout. The attention to detail is second to none. Very realistic, the people inside the passenger trains are a nice touch. Excellent audio and beautifully shot. Well done Pilentum TV.
Interesting how with all that Euro skill in creating style that the UK wipes the floor stylistically when it comes to steam locos, rolling stock and even many of the diesels...
Really a superb and fantastic train layout with features I had never seen: the vertical staging elevator and the display showing the arrival of the trains. The layot also includes many details. Thanks for sharing!!!
Just gorgeous! My first and only model train set back around 1961 was a Marklin. Just a single loop track. I gradually added a few items including a couple of kitset wagons, some more rails and several crossing track sections plus a couple of buffers which back then was all I could afford (from cashed-in tea coupons). Now as I approach my 70s the old memories and wishlists come flooding back. I would love to have had a couple of electrically operated points (with the little lamps), some signals and most of all, a loco with an overhead wire system. Not to be sadly. But as a lifelong electronics enthusiast my imagination frequently runs wild with what I could have done with coloured LED signals, electronic/microprocessor controllers (wireless control of individual trains, signals, points and so-on). Sadly my trainset was given away when I was in my late teens by my father who thought I should be doing better things with my time. I loved Marklin and thought my friend's Hornby train set ran a very distant second.
Good morning, it is impressive, the details, I am very happy to see these videos and many more videos of you, because I am doing my HO Scale train table, always remembering the talkes is very important. 👍🤗 Thanks ..... Luis Acosta.

Hallo Gerhard - Vielen dank - ja mit Win-Digipet kann man fast alles. Ist der videobeschreibung in deutsch am dir ? Hier ist es Dänish. 😊😊 Gruß aus Kopenhagen
It is a very nice job and I am really amazed. All I wonder is why there is an overhead line and the electric trains run around with the pantograph down.
I know 😊 you are not the first with this relevant remark - it is due to an issue with missing overhead line in the Shadow stations. I am working on it 😊😊
@@jenskrogsgaard It is not only you. More films at modeltracks, you see the same. I am wondering why .. because you want to see it much as possible realistic as in daily life. But thanks for you're answer.

What did the naughty boy do to deserve getting smacked in the head by the pocketbook of the elderly lady? I'll keep coming back to this amazing layout. I notice different things each time I return. Thanks for posting this.
Very nice video. I love the small details like the working departures board. Very nice touch throughout. I wonder how the vertical staging can be done that is aligns so precisely with the track. Is it stepper motors and some sort of encoders?
It is made by an old office Raise / Lower table with the motor and controle from this table. You can see more here ua-cam.com/video/Yu5nGdCHKBE/v-deo.html
That's amazing love the Functions from the barriers to The working lift ,the lit up Locos to the Steam Locomotives with Steam ,How did this work ? Great layout to The Rheingold Express to the TEE and love the Settings 🇨🇭🇩🇰🇩🇪❤️🏴Love the wee man cranking up and down the barriers ,I had a smile on my face watching him ❤️
Wow, top notch attention to detail, very impressive layout. I had one for many years , tho nothing like this. I know how much time , dedication and money must have gone into this one. I moved and had to cut mine up into many pieces to get it out of the house, never to have gotten back into it. Sold everything except my 2 old Marklin steam engines and 6 passenger cars, some track and a transformer. The place I'm in now is to small to build again.
I'm curious. How is the running of multiple trains moving at the same time managed? It's obvious a computer and program is involved. But how? I suspect power to the tracks are segmented in many places and power is switched from one segment to another to keep the train going and is changed to bring a train to a stop or to start. But how does the system know where the trains are? I saw the little metal squares between the rails. Are they sensors? Or just part of the electric current path? I can barely imagine the wiring madness underneath.
It is a digital modelrail controlled by a pc with the program Win-Digipet. And yes - there are many wires behind the scenes. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digital_model_railway_control_systems
He probably uses DCC, a control system in which the track voltage is constant and locomotives use digital signals sent to decoders (onboard microchips) to control speed, direction, sound, and other functions (lights, inertia, etc.). The squares between the rails are for Märklin's "stud contact" system, and are used to send current to locomotives using Märklin's 3-rail AC system (analog or digital).

Putting in my 1 1/2 cents worth: On a digital layout the catenary is strictly for appearance. In fact, Maerklin does not recommend using the catenary for digital operation and recent Elok models don't even give you that option. I have cats on my layout but there are times where I am beyond the pantograph range and I resolved this by restraining the pantograph using a 4lb fishing line . Just don't look too close.
