Okay I wanted to come back to this video and just leave another comment. I've been now using this camera for about eight weeks and I've probably taken two or 3000 images with it and I love it. It's way better than full frame image quality and it is not far off in terms of auto focus. It is snappy is the word I would use. It doesn't miss very often and the image quality is just jawdropping. The actual weight of the camera is minimal at 883 g and if you put a nice strap around your wrist, it's not difficult to carry around on an all day shoot which I've done a couple of times. If you are wanting to get into medium format Photography or just take your image quality to another level this camera is amazing and yeah I'm a bit of a Fujifilm fan because of many factors but this camera simply is the best FujiFilm camera I've ever ever made.
After 3 decades of being a Nikon user I sold it all once I saw what the GFX can do and I'm very excited as I'm getting my 100S ii tomorrow but haven't found a complete GFX100S ii setup video yet and unfortunately this isn't one. I also want to say to others rather use the front and back wheels then the joystick as the joysticks can ware out whereas the wheels will most likely not. So I hope there will be a more in-depth How to fuji Guys video although I would rather call it Fuji GFX100S ii setup as that's what would come up in the search if there was such a video
I have had my 100s II for about 2 weeks and love it. It's an amazing camera. I waited for this because of the lighter body weight. The only thing that it doesn't lack compared to the big brother is the video quality but honestly, I'm not in the video. I couldn't give a crap what people record on TikTok because let's face it. It's either TikTok or UA-cam and no one cares. No one's making movies out of these style cameras so really video features I would've been happy with this camera had no video features. In fact I would love a GFX camera that has no video button on it at all. Okay that's my beef out the way what do I love about this camera image quality fast focusing, economics. The texture on the outside of the camera is actually functional. In other words. You feel like you can grip this camera really well. It's a solid camera great build quality very well weather sealed as well. And it just takes amazing photos that's all just amazing photos that actually take you into the scene. I'm a landscape photographer and some of the landscapes. I've already shot with this camera and then printed big you feel like you're standing in front of that scene. People complain about the Fuji menu system but honestly, I find it pretty straightforward. It's actually quite short and everything is in the logical place and it doesn't take very long to learn how to use it either.. You can also custom set many of the buttons to your own liking and I do like the top screen because you can actually put the dials on there as well so it gives you that retro feel. The face and auto eye detect actually works really well and I've had no problems and it's probably more accurate than my XT5 which is bizarre but I think there is something wrong with the firmware on the XT5 and many people have commented on that however I still get a very good hit rate out of both cameras. I'm not sure what to do with my 50 S.ii but I want to keep my XT5. I love the Fuji QuickMenu system which you can optimise as well and not many cameras these days have the quick menu but it makes it so much easier. It is a phenomenal camera and honestly I would buy this camera over any full frame camera unless you are a dedicated sports and wildlife shooter. Those guys you can buy your canon and your Nikon cameras that shoot 45 frames per second and then you'll be sitting there for the next 10,000 just trying to write the fi honestly I could shoot birds with eight frames a second no problems. This is probably in the top five cameras in the world and I own one and I think that's really really cool cause I've worked really hard for it. Happy days. Yeah agree on the music. Just dropped the music guys. We'd rather just listen to you. Talk you don't have to have music on UA-cam's not about the quality of the production. It's just about the content. We just watch it for the content. UA-cam need to learn that we don't care whether you shoot K or 720p to be quite honest often most of us are just sitting on a train or whatever or listening to it at work we don't even see most of i, that's not a criticism of you guys. Just be mindful. I really love the channel you and Pal to tech are great Fujifilm ambassadors
So many confusing aspects of this camera compared to my logical Canon. Like why are there a buttload of single tracking options in the AF presets? And most confounding, why can’t I quickly manually override my AF anytime I want? Surely I’m missing something? Thanks for sharing. Fuji’s own info is pretty poor and unlike Canon there’s just not as much info or accessories available. Just crossing fingers several light transceiver makers make Fuji models of their products.
i really wanted to watch this video but WHY oh WHY would you have this irratating music on the overlay as he is speaking its just so terrible it had my attention span for like 25 seconds its terrible.
