Hi Flip Flop Traveller! I really enjoy the way you lay out the key elements of the review in an efficient yet detailed way. I get all the info I care for including a sense of the hotel ambiance without feeling robbed of my time with fillers, like most other youtubers unfortunately do. Looking forward to your next videos!
It used to be my favor hotel in São Paulo… many years ago, as usual spot on in your review. If it rains, will take close to two hours to get to the airport. Tívoli Mofarref is our to go hotel there. Another excellent video, thanks Kevin
Thank you for your insight on this hotel! I have a trip coming up and I’m staying here. I wanted to ask what type of plug input do they have, type N ? Did you use an adapter or is it worth getting a voltage converter?
I'm sure they're visible in the video, I'd need to rewatch it to know the type for sure, but I think it was a mix of local and universal outlets as is standard for most non-UK hotels. Thanks for watching 🩴
Interesting. Very much reminds me of the Melia Hanoi as it was in the late nineties. To me those colors are very pleasant and soothing. That said some of the tables had crazy angles and very sharp pointed corners. If stepping on that staple caused you to trip head first into one of those corners the channel would have come to an abrupt end!. The dirt and paint splatter really not acceptable for a five star facility but with respect to some of the worn carpet... once that is all renewed I suspect the room price will double.
In the location they’re in, I don’t think even a brand new Grand Hyatt could pull in $300 per night. It’s not that the area is poor, but it’s just a very specific business district. I think they know they’re pulling in close to the top end of what’s possible in that area so they just don’t have much motivation to renovate anything. Thanks for watching 🙏🏻
I mean it's the best for the buck in Sao Paulo tbh, since Hyatt has the best loyalty program ever and you earn a lot of points with excellent redemption, the 2 times I were in SP I booked their Presidential Suite for like $700 + points per night which is an absolute bargain considering how massive and extremely luxurious the suite is, so only for that detail + the phenomenal views + excellent cuisine + good spa, in resume is the best and I liked it more than Palacio Tangara which is supposedly to be the best but for me it was sooo dated in a bad way that it almost felt like a 4 star hotel with a 5 star price tag, their cuisine however is top of the notch with a Michelin star Jean-Georges, but nothing more, long live to Hyatt lol.
Agree to disagree 😂- I'm Globalist myself and this is one of the few cities where I just avoid Hyatt. I'd rather choose a reasonable $150ish 4-star or go all in on a place like the Rosewood.
I knew this was in the Embassy district before you even mentioned it, there's a certain "style" of that area. Its more a Hyatt Place than a Grand Hyatt, room for improvement here definitely and what's with the "brulee" Benny if you don't know how to execute the dish then don't have it on the Menu!! Hyatt is so hit and miss these days👍
Agreed, Hyatt has been all over the place for me. Desperately hoping my next two Hyatts (both Park Hyatts) live up to their name! Thanks for watching 🙏🏻
