Hi Kevin, thanks for another great India review. I'm watching this video right now from the Leela Palace Bengaluru, which I decided to visit solely because of your review. Before I found your videos I never even considered to visit India at all.
I was very excited and thought you were back with another India series before you mentioned it was from previous visit. I hope you go back there give us another long series.
Your "follow-up" comment reminded me: in my opinion, the 5-star hotels in India pampers you like practically no other contemporary in Europe or the US can match.
But I don't think he ever showed his face I can be wrong, also he said in the past he never reveals his identity so that the reviews are as genuine and unbiased as possible.
What a fabulous example of high-end Indian hospitality, Kevin. The hotel looks exquisite, as did your junior suite, and you were obviously well looked after by a very attentive and professional staff. Overall, a very insightful review of this property. Cheers from AKL, NZL.
0:55 one of the reasons I subscribed to this channel as in no one would have noticed that you had shot this video earlier and you could have easily got away with it but you choose not to. Well done Kevin & keep up the good work
Superb narration and capturing only Kevin can give so much information on every property he visits, truly Jewel in the crown in hospitality management either in Air line or Hotels 🌹🌹🌹🌹💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯🌹🌹🌹
Great video and India really performs when it comes to Indian buffet breakfasts - luxury and tranquility - so underestimated - I think though Bali still does the best food ( for me) the sweetest fruit in the world - thanks
Very nice video. Thanks for sharing visits to luxurious places which only the rich can make use of. This helps people like me who are unable to visit them appreciate what is available in the real world.
Very informative…My India travel experience has been with Oberoi . Which I enjoyed. Should I end up back in India I will give Leela try.. After 3M air miles and 2,000 hotel nights I’m enjoying my homes more these days..Doing business in over 90 countries was a great experience. Ciao
Love your reviews. It's beautiful filmed and edit. One question: is it possible to give a clue about the hotel room prize in your last page conclusion?
While I have my issues with Leela’s service and design standards, I understand that’s a very personal choice. However, I’d like to point out how Leela has made some very questionable choices with regard to new openings and partnerships that I feel seriously threaten their general prestige and inject inconsistencies across the brand experience. East Delhi and Gandhinagar are convention-focused, Gurugram is a business hotel on top of a mall, Jaipur is a JW Marriott conversion located in an industrial estate an hour outside the city, and both Kerala properties have inexplicably partnered with the less upscale Raviz brand. I strongly feel they should hive off a sub-brand, like Oberoi has done with Trident and Taj with Vivanta / Seleqtions, to be able to reach out to a wider market without compromising on the promise their marquee properties - Bangalore, Chennai, Udaipur, and Delhi (I’d personally even argue Mumbai to be down-branded as the airport neighbourhood is quite sad). On another note, I really hope you try out some of the boutique hotels in India next time you swing by! In my opinion, they are far superior to the big 3 in curating destinations, experiences, and design, and are generally excellent with their service. Of course, a lot of them are off-loyalty, but they’re well worth the expense.
Not effectively, but I do think they *think* that's what they're doing by using "Leela" vs "Leela Palace" vs "Leela Ambient" as brand names. But, they're no where near large enough to differentiate them enough by simply doing that.
Allegris (hard + soft product) in the air AND on the ground is very 2010. Without status, flying C on LH relegates you to their very below average “business class” lounge. As you say the amenity kit is a joke. The food? Well, let’s say it’s very ‘intra-europe’ served on nicer plates. I’m LH SEN since 2002 and have given up on LH long haul.
Hello, I didn’t get the point unwalkable neighbourhood, could you please explain😅from what I have seen the area around the Leela in Chanakyapuri is one of the cleanest and safest to walk in! With respect to India obviously
Didn’t say it’s dirty or unsafe, is simply not a walking friendly neighborhood. Nothing is within walking distance and even if it was, they’re all major roadways. Just not at all pleasant on foot.
Diplomatic Envlave ir Chanskyapuri is not part of Lutyen's Delhi. Diplomatic Enclave was developed in 1950's, long after the Brits had leftIndia. Lutyens had designed the core of of thre new imperial capital of British India about 50 years earlier & lies about 4-5 kms to the east.
@@tfft Ah I see. I never stayed in luxury hotels before (only mainstreams and those 'business' hotels), and it has been years since I saw a minibar stocked up in room.
So, the property was not able to confirm when one of their restaurants would definitely be open? I find that rather poor from a customer service standpoint.
Kevin for some reason most of your hotel visits are towards the northern half of India. The south including Kerala, Hyderabad and even other places have some of the best hotels and resorts in the country which is a major departure from anything you will see in the north or west. You cannot say you been across India if you haven't traversed the entire country. Kerala has insane backwater resorts and Hyderabad boasts some of the best heritage palace hotels like the Taj Falaknuma Palace.
Oh, I guess Bengaluru and Chennai are no longer in the south! (Might want to tell them that Hyderabad has moved!) I think viewers who have seen all of my content know full well that whether on a flight or in a hotel, I've been to quite a bit of the country 😉
Then name a place where will you not endure a heartbreak? I am curious to know which place does not have poverty? Or is it places with relatively higher poverty that bothers you cause if it’s fewer it’s not “heartbreaking” cause just so you know they suffer the same pain
At the time of release, subtitles were not publishing correctly (delay on the back end). When possible, they will be updated.

For some reason, your Indian videos are better than most Indian travel vloggers’
Because put product at first not his face
Because others want $1000 service at $2
Hi Kevin, thanks for another great India review. I'm watching this video right now from the Leela Palace Bengaluru, which I decided to visit solely because of your review. Before I found your videos I never even considered to visit India at all.
I like Indian interior design, very elegant, very traditional Indian and of course luxurious
Thanks for watching 🩴
Your Indian videos are so much interesting than anything else.
I was very excited and thought you were back with another India series before you mentioned it was from previous visit. I hope you go back there give us another long series.
Indian 5 star hotels literally blow my mind... The value for money is insaneeeee...
Enjoying the video rn from the Shinkansen to Tokyo from Sendai… thanks Kevin!!!! 🎉

Light, bright and colourful! Definitely a hotel chain I would like to stay once. Thank you for the review 🙏🏼
Just about as comfortable as it gets!
"contemporary globertroting maharaja". Sounds like our favorite Kevin too me! 😉
Thank you mister Kevin for another wonderful video!
So proud of indian hospitality c:
Thanks for watching 🩴
Leela never disappoints!!!!!
Opulent hotel with an Indian hospitable heart ! ❤️ 🇮🇳
First! Love from Philadelphia!
You have my sympathies for the number of political ads you need to consume every day 😂
@@tfft Hahaha, at least they made it convenient to vote!
Always enjoy your reviews and appreciate that you kept it under 20 minutes.
I usually allow the hotel to "choose" the video length 😉

What a beautiful room.
Sure is!
Beautifully shot video! Well done! 👍🏾

The background musical track you mentioned (Vaayu - Elemental Indian Bamboo Flute) are so soothing 🙏🙏!
Great video and India really performs when it comes to Indian buffet breakfasts - luxury and tranquility - so underestimated - I think though Bali still does the best food ( for me) the sweetest fruit in the world - thanks
Always until the end, including the ads! No reply needed, keep it up!
Just here for Kevin's amazing content. More please.
The interior and lobby hallways are quite similar to the Leela palace here in Jaipur and this connection to one hotel to another is a great touch tbh
I always enjoy staying on the club level. Amazing!
The level of luxury here is unparalleled
Very nice video. Thanks for sharing visits to luxurious places which only the rich can make use of. This helps people like me who are unable to visit them appreciate what is available in the real world.
Nice video kevin, leela is very elegant
Thanks for watching 🩴

I enjoy your travel content ... I would recommend the Taj Faluknama in Hyderabad (India) ... Its a cultural and luxury experience at the top
Thank You ✈️
You should give ITC another chance!!

Hi Kevin, any plan to visit Goa?
There are a few Goa hotels on my list, but it won't be anytime soon.
Hello, Any plans for visisting Leela Kovalam. It looks pretty good..
Finally 😁😁

Has the manager mentioned till when the rooftop would be closed?
As I mentioned in the video, the roof has been open.
Can we have a play list for Goa India please
Visit leela palace in udaipur
On the channel already.
Did you get to visit the rooftop?
Someone didn't watch the first third of the video 😅
@@tfft All he did was post a stock photo. I would assume he did not get to visit, but there was no mention of it either way.
I explained in detail how it was closed 🤦♂️
Dosa for breakfast? I hope so....
Wow❤

Frankly speaking hotels like these respond better to foreign customers, and generally do not respond to Indian customers in the same swift manner.

Just curious, in these luxury hotels, is the minibar free or not?
No, the only free mini bar I ever saw in India was the Andaz Delhi.

Will your favourite restaurant there ever be open?!?! 😭😅. And still no pool access 😢
